Caroline and Stefan without humanity are fun. And Mama Salvatore brings a nice fresh breze into the show. Curious what's gonna happen with her. Everyone loved to hate Kai and now they take him away. Why do they always take a way the characters who are loved by fans? Lexi, Katherine, Kai.... I don't get it

I really enjoyed this episode. Stefan sort of seeking 'revenge' on Caroline was something I didn't see coming, nor was Kai being left back in 1903 (well, until I read your post Kiki). I'm enjoying Mama Salvatore and can't wait to see her share scenes with Stefan. I'm glad that Enzo is finally giving up on his ridiculous plans to ruin Stefan's life, but I also feel like that SL should have never existed. It stole from us precious time in the first half of the season. Jolaric was kind of cute. Bonnie kicked ass - I love her badass. Lol, when Elena said she took Damon's baby pic from 1903, I was like "What about Stefan's?!" Not because of my preferance for SE, but because I doubt Stefan has any childhood pictures either, so = valuable.

Do you guys think that Kai's going to die at the hands of those apparently desiccated vampires from the 1903 Prison World? If not, what are your theories about him getting out? How could he even get out of that prison without the 1903 ascendant? Anyway, his only hope is Lily Salvatore. I mean, she's the only one who wants to go back there to get her 'family' just as badly as Kai wants to get out. What do you guys think? = )

I wonder why the other vamps are in this prison, too. And why did they save Lily? Kai's 2nd hope could be that Bonnie might have a change of heart at some point... who knows

Kai's 2nd hope could be that Bonnie might have a change of heart at some point... who knows I am also wondering why are those vampires in the prison and why Lily called them her 'family'. Maybe it's because they've been the only ones there for her ever since she turned. Wait, actually, that's what happened, I mean she said something like this. Anyway, as for Kai, MAYBE SOMEONE WILL TELL BONNIE ALREADY WHAT KAI DID FOR HER, WHEN HE RISKED HIS LIFE AND ALSO HIS COVEN'S LIVES WHEN HE TRAVELED BACK TO 1994 WITH JEREMY. God, it's very annoying, especially when Bonnie told Damon that Kai faked apologized to her, and Damon, when he could've defend him, since he knew that Kai was genuine about his guilt, instead, he replied with : ''And I REAL apologized. .'' What the heck, Damon? I guess that was just for him to get under her skin. Damn it, TVD is so unfair sometimes. =.=

I'm also wondering if she'll be tempted by blood lust once she's back around humans again. Stefan's proving he has control over his Ripper side, even with no humanity. I hope he isn't triggered by seeing his Mom again.

Hey, I know Christopher Wood is gorgeous and a fantastic actor, but I am afraid I hope the character Kai is locked up in the 1903 prison world and used as a food bag by those vampires for the rest of time. Well, at least for a few years. I thought it was sweet justice. He is a threat to Alaric and Jo's baby, and, as we know, is already a baby killer. Course, so likely are rippah Lily and Stefan. But I am Team Stefan and you gotta play for the team that brung ya. I was surprised about the incarcerated vampires. CREEPY tea party, Lily. Somehow I think Lily and Caroline might have an interesting relationship. I gave the episode a 5. It was another fun one. Several story lines were advanced and several things played out that I hoped one day to get to see the results of: a) the Cure is back in play b) Stefan and Caroline, well, you know -- and now will have to deal with the consequences. Plus they were pretty funny. I'd like to see them wreaking havoc for a few more episodes. c) Elena's use of the "forever" word was immediately complicated by Damon's future choice d) Lily is back e) Sarah learns of her identity f) Enzo's inexplicable rivalry with Stefan is put on the back burner. Another thing I liked was that Lily sounded like she was from 1903. I hope she doesn't become too modernized too quickly. It is a generous 5, however. Why would Bonnie give up the Cure when she could have used it for her mother -- that really came a little too easy IMHO. Just because it comes out of a character's mouth doesn't make it believable, as we well know.

Kai's 2nd hope could be that Bonnie might have a change of heart at some point... who knows That's a suspicious part about Lily's story, why all the vamps agreed that Lily would be the one to get blood and they'd desiccate. It was described as incredibly painful in early seasons. So none of them had second thoughts?? Also, if the day is repeating, they should have been able to go back to the slaughter houses every day to replenish blood. These are questions I doubt the show will address unless the answers in some way augment Lily's character.

So if Bonnie took the cure in 1994 how could it be still there in 2012? Same goes for the teddy bear. So it looks like the prison worlds are not real history. Everything you do over there has no effect on the present time. So they could timetravel to 1903 (I think Kai said there are only these 2 prison worlds) and take the cure of that time, too. They'd have 2... 2 happy vampires who could become human again. ... and the rest of my theory goes into the Stelena bubble

oh Kiki you are using logic on a show where none exists, the dropped story lines and weird plot holes are just too many and is starting to drive me to the point of self-immolation.

On The CW, The Vampire Diaries earned a 0.7, up 17 percent from last week’s season low 0.6 adults 18-49 rating.
at least not further down

I believe it was Kai (?) describing the prison worlds as alternate universes, not time travel, so nothing done there alters the current timeline. Re: two cures, i like the way you think. Edit: Possibly this was said in an interview and not within the storyline?? Now I'm not sure, but I do remember having it explained.

Favorite lines: Damon: "These freaks may be your family, but Stefan Salvatore is mine, and if you don't want to help him, I will leave you here to rot." Jo: Oh boy, this is bad. I'm marrying an idiot. Damon: "Are you kidding me? She has a vampire dollhouse!"

They are copies of the present world for that given day at that point in time. That's why there are no people there because it's not actually happening to anyone except the prisoners so you're right that there is another cure out there from 1994's prison world.
