The episode doesn't look half-bad. I like that they're all coming together. Wonder where Jeremy is and how he learns about Bonnie. I have such a visceral reaction whenever I see Plec and Dries talk about the show that I only see the negatives. It's almost like they are the only ones who are really excited about this and they can't even see it... |

Don't spank me Ruby, I know I probably should'a put this elsewhere. lol I need a little help from the board..... The talking heads keep referring to all the wonderful things Damon has done...... I'm coming up empty, here.... What did I miss? What are all these fiercely loyal gesters he's done for Stefan.... (Stealing the love of his life? That's the Benedict Arnold version of loyal) I'll venture a guess at what's coming this season... 1. First DE is not getting together tonight.... Elena is going to be resistant to F-ing her life up again.... Even though Damon's ready to drop trow at first sight. lol 2..Elena will be human this season, probably as a result of Damon sacrificing for her (hero status builder) I don't consider last season's juant to the "other-side" a big deal, because Damon was sure it was a round-trip. Other wise why would he have been so eager for Elena to go with? What he doesn't care about her life anymore? (that's the only thing he's been consistent with) 3. There will be a move back to SE (I know Stefan deserves better, lol) I can stick it out, if the writers just quit taking a dump on Stefan's head.   |

Stefan a vampire and Elena a human and then Stelena again is a step back. As long as they are not both the same species their lover can only last a few years
If both of them become human which Stefan wanted more than anything else it would be a nice turn. Damon said he doesn't want to be human not even for Elena

I just said this on another board, but I would pay to see an Arya-Stark-psychotic-laughter reaction from Jeremy when he learns that Bonnie sacrificed herself AGAIN. He just expressed resentment towards Ric and co. because Bonnie saved everyone but herself (for the 298034803th time), so when he learns that she did it again, to save Damon of all people... I doubt we'll get anything as good. But I still have my imagination to retreat into. |

I think this episode rocked even though they had those de moments it really showed this is season three so in the end of the season she may choose damon but they wont be together all season. I should have put that in theories lol.

I think this episode rocked even though they had those de moments it really showed this is season three so in the end of the season she may choose damon but they wont be together all season. I should have put that in theories lol. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I527 using proboards I don't get how this is season 3 at all, unless her choice is between Liam and Damon. If anything this episode proved the writers are taking us to Steroline like it or not. Elena and Stefan are "soul friends" (sorry I can't every use that term without using quotes) as Stefan is back to being DE's biggest cheerleader. It's a continuation of the relationship drama that bogged down the end of season 5 and nearly made it unbearable. What is the main storyline right now? Needs more mystery, less soap opera. |

I also think this magical barrier will be away for stefen and elena to become human again. This was just forshadowing. I liked the episode, solid 4/5 points... Why did Damon lie to Jer about Bon  That was annoying, worried about Jer, he's losing it. Darn!!! Missed Bon in this episode. SHE HAS TO COME BACK. I really appreciate all the concern for Bon from all others of the gang. Why is Alaric now human again? Ok he didn't like being a vamp anyway, so his wish was fulfilled, so jo is a witch...is she Kai's sister? Or a Gemini coven witch? I am starting to warm up a bit to Jo. Most annoying characters Trip Fell and Sarah, I can't stand her! Maybe Jo can help with getting Bon back. |

He used to be irreverent and sardonic, and now it's just embarrassing. Why can't he be himself with the rest of his friends, why just with Bonnie? He showed his vulnerable, even sweet side with her these last few episodes, and now we're back to the caricature. I think that's part of the reason DE is grating on all of us... because he's written so one-dimensionally when he's around Elena. Makes me sad. |

I loved this episode! TVD is finally finding its footing, as well as the equilibrium of showcasing the real original casting - and of integrating new characters meaningfully. I loved the pacing, that everyone did something real. Somerhalder was actually acting. It was one of the best episodes Damon has had since Season One. Nina Dobrev did a lovely job with Elena. It was also lovely to see Ric regaining his humanity. I thought it was an EPIC episode.
