"The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get" is a song by Morrissey, released as a single in February 1994. This one is creepy as it goes along. I automatically thought of Damon pursuing memory-free Elena. Another possibility is Kai with Bonnie. From the sypnosis it sounds like elena will have a hard time facing her real memories. To me iz sounds like she doesn't want them and maybe isn't so happy when she remembers her feelings for damon. And this song hints that he might force himself on her. We all know how damon reacts when he doesn't get what he wants.
Jeremy better finds a save place inside mystic falls where damon cannot get close to him

Some of us took our grumpy pills this morning. Why?! Damon's back. Even I am happy to see him,although it could have been a hilarious yet touching counterpoint if Stefan had been able to see Damon wearing his old shirt.

I assume "Spike" is another show? I never watched it so I don't know what this is about Spike is from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Many (I would argue wrongly) compare Damon character to Spike's...except the writers on Buffy took care to actually write a very compelling redemption and atonement arc for Spike, and the writers on TVD can't seem to figure out how to do that for Damon. Which is one of the reasons that Buffy (imo) has been and will always be the superior show to TVD, superior writing and a strong moral compass. |

I never watched it so I don't know what this is about Hey Kiki, the "Spike" thing was from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Spike got worked up in S6 and forced himself on Buffy..... All I was sayin' is it wouldn't surprise me if Damon went there, knowing how he gets and reacts when things don't go his way.... It actually was a good thing for Spikes character, because of his guilt about it he change the way he lived his life.... Having watch both series, it's more than coincidence how many SL seem to get repeated in TVD.... If JP and CD were in school they'd be expelled for plagiarizing. This would be one of the biggest moments of the "Buffy" series to grab, but I do agree with @dman24, I don't think they have the balls. Just the same the stage is set. |

There's no need to add or take away from it. But I can see how that might have been hilarious. Though it would've undermined the mood they were going for. "Some of us took our grumpy pills this morning."I think shoe20 took a satchel or bushel... or whatever cowboy speak for "a lot" is in his area of the country.  He was definitely foaming at the mouth there. lol Guy should probably watch his blood pressure. I wouldn't be surprised if he collapsed one of these days while wailing about the evils of Damon. This show will be the death of him. Literally! |

IMO, the two shows are not comparable, for the reasons you mentioned and more. I see a lot of similarities between TVD and BtVS/Angel, but the one that hits me the most is Stefan (who, btw, is TVD's version of Angel; the good, heroic vampire with his hero hair who back in the day was one of the most murderous vampires to roam the earth) being locked inside a metal coffin and thrown to the bottom of the ocean to starve for months. Just like Angel was. |
