I am kinda bias, I love Zoey Deutch so her as Rose is amazing Also Book Depository (http://www.bookdepository.com/) is an amazing place to buy books from. Partly cause they have free shipping to anywhere (which I don't get from amazon, since I live in Australia) and partly because its flexible with payment methods.

Meh, maybe the quick cuts aren't helping from the previews. Maybe I need to see a clip of an entire scene or something to get a better look at her take on the character. But really, as petty as it sounds, that voice just isn't clicking for me.
Probably going to order the first book in the Kara Gillian series though to go along with Fair Game. Read the first chapter excerpt and thought what little was there was entertaining. I'm wrong for it too. Should be finishing up the other series I've got.

Anyone known about Showtime's new show, Penny Dreadful? Like a horror/supernatural mash up set in Victorian London:

@dman24 What episode are you on with Roswell? Which was your favorite season? Two was my least favorite for obvious reasons! I think I loathe Tess almost more than any tv character and that's saying something! I thought I would share this with you and shoe20. He knows how much I love gifs & videos so enjoy! Sorry I couldn't pick just one! They were all so good! They had the best chemistry and boy did they go through some serious angst to be together! I loved their hugs and kisses! They had some of their hottest make-outs in the kitchen! I wonder if it was Liz's uniform that did it for him! Just look at them in the last video! This post wouldn't be complete without gifs now would it shoe20!

Roswell has been sitting in my Netflix Watch List but I haven't gotten around to it. Was rewatching Battlestar Galactica but am probably going to stop at S4 as I don't want to trudge through the remainder of some character arcs as I loathe them (Roslin, Lee, Starbuck, Baltar). Some have been annoying me since S1 but S4 has a long stretch before it picks back up for me so unless I skip like 4-5 episodes, I'm done with it.
Started Arrested Development which was a random pick and I'm oddly enjoying it (still loathe Michael Cera though).
Netflix is turning into my current viewing habits: so much half finished stuff is left in my list with maybe 6-7 series started that I need to tie up or are left to rot. Movie selection is pretty horrible without retreading stuff I've already watched.

I own all three seasons of Roswell on DVD. I love that show! Max and Liz are so Stelena. I also just got caught up on episodes of Penny Dreadful, and I can't wait for the season finale. Am I the only one who thinks of Joseph Morgan (Klaus) every time I watch a scene with Harry Treadaway (Dr. Frankenstein)? When this season of Penny Dreadful is over, I'll be watching Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex on Showtime. I've been watching True Blood too, but I think that show has gone stale for me. It doesn't have the same shock and awe that it used to.

What have you been watching or plan to watch during the holiday hiatus?
I binged on The White Queen (thank you moshe12) and BBC's The Musketeers. Absolutely LOVED The Musketeers. May watch it again. I've also been watching my favorite Christmas movies Meet Me in St. Louis, Miracle on 34th Street and White Christmas! You can never go wrong with the classics! Up next... Merlin??? I know what you've been watching @dman24 Twilight is one of my favorite series as well! The Bourne series is also great. What's up next? How about Lord of the Rings! Those are nice and long! Also some of my favorites. I never get tired of them. Quite a contrast from Twilight!

BBC this name has promise of high quality productions since decades I have also watched The Hobbit and am going to watch part 2 The Desolation of Smaug soon enough

Also some of my favorites. I never get tired of them. Quite a contrast from Twilight! Well, I finished The Bourne Ultimatum two days ago, and I'm currently on a Fringe marathon (season 4). I like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and I might give it a watch eventually, but I'm not really in the mood right now. But I'm definitely going to watch a few movies during fringe, so as to change things up a bit. These are a few shows I have to catch up on. I've been delaying them way too long: Constantine -- Loved the movie with Keanu Reeves so my interest was peeked when I heard they were making the series. So far it's a solid show, though not quite as exciting as I would've hoped, but it's the first season so hopefully it gets better. I'm currently on episode 3. Sleepy Hollow -- I watched the first season in its entirety but so far I've only watched the first two episodes of season 2. It became a bit cumbersome and boring during the second half of season one, so I wasn't in a rush to see season two. But I like the premise of the show and Ichabod is one of the best characters I've seen in a while, so that alone keeps me watching. I might watch an episode or two today. Reign -- I've yet to watch season two. In fact I'm still on episode six of season one, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I heard it got better so I'm definitely intrigued. I'll probably do a marathon on Netflix one of these days. Stalker -- So far it's a good show and I like it. Makes you think long and hard about what celebrities have to go through (scary scary stuff), and to a lesser us regular humans who have the misfortune of being stalked. (And no, I don't stalk Nina Dobrev. Ha!) I'm on episode nine right now. The Flash -- Nice show, and I've seen some of the episodes, but I think I have about five more to go. Jane the Virgin -- Interesting premise, but I've yet to watch it. I might do so over the weekend. So there you have it. Most of the shows I'll probably be watching soon. I just have to find the time.

@dman24 I love the Bourne Trilogy as well. I've seen it several times. You can never go wrong with that series when you're in the mood for non stop action and great car chases! I really liked the Constantine movie as well and was planning on watching the show after several episodes had aired, but from the looks of it I don't think it will get a 2nd season. I think they had planned to do a full season, but stopped production due to low ratings and only ended up doing 13 episodes. Not 100% sure about the 13, but now it's up in the air as to whether it's going to get a 2nd season. I am a SH fan. I loved the 1st season, but this season has been somewhat of a disappointment so far. Ichabod is definitely one of the best characters around and is the reason I keep watching the show. I love the relationship and friendship he has with Abbie. It's rare to see that kind of loyalty and devotion on a show. They have great chemistry and play off each other very well. I'm hoping the 2nd half will pick up when it returns and get back to why I fell in love with the show. What do you think of Katrina and Henry? That's been the problem for me and most of the fans this season. I don't watch Reign, but several of the girls on here do and they all seem to love it! They said it's quite an addiction once you get into it. moshe12 Couldn't agree more about BBC! The Musketeers is my new addiction! I think you'd like it considering your taste of shows! The Desolation of Smaug was very good. I know you'll like it. I'm hoping to see the last one "The Battle of the Five Armies" this weekend.

Good question wednesday! Btw, who is your dreamy avatar guy?? Ahem, back to the question. I ended up watching movies instead of TV. I'm making a few comments but nothing that will spoil I don't think: Theory of Everything - Stephen Hawking movie. Fascinating. Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies - Desolation of Smaug is still my favorite. The title says it all with this one! Wild - Book adaptation. Reese Witherspoon walking 1000 miles of the Pacific Coast Trail to work out her demons. Good, hard to watch at times, shot in a very interesting way. The Internet's Own Boy - This is mostly a character piece about whiz kid Aaron Swartz, who was co-founder of Reddit while still in his teens, but it looks at the legal and political machinations surrounding the early days of the www as well. Next on the list tomorrow is The Imitation Game about the WWII British code breakers. Can't wait to see it. Oh, and I watched White Christmas for the first time this year wednesday. I loved it! I couldn't believe the dancing, wow. @dman24, join us on the SH board if you end up sticking with it. I'm a big Flash fan although there's no discussion about it. I haven't watched the other shows you mentioned. If you've watched Smaug yet moshe12, what do you think??

jennifer My dreamy guy would be Santiago Cabrera aka Aramis from BBC's The Musketeers! It's my new obsession as I posted above. If you like period piece shows you might enjoy it. It's got action, adventure, romance and humor. They have a great cast and it's one of the few shows that I have absolutely nothing to complain about! It's highly entertaining. The promo is above if you want a quick peek. Sometimes it is nice to take a break from shows and watch movies. I'm watching the show Merlin right now which is cute. Nowhere near the level of The Musketeers, but the kid is likeable. Funny thing is my guy Aramis plays Lancelot in this show!!! Santiago always the hero! I'm so glad you got to see White Christmas!! It's one of my favorite movies of all time. I've been watching it since I was a little kid. My mom was raised on musicals so I learned to appreciate them. Vera Ellen is amazing. Two other holiday musicals you might like are Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire and Meet Me in St. Louis with Judy Garland. Meet Me in St. Louis doesn't have dancing, but it's a great family film and is my favorite Judy film other than The Wizard of Oz. Have you gotten a chance to see Lost in Austen yet? One of my favorite scenes in White Christmas!!!

It was fun to see the story play out through Amanda's modern eyes, with her trying to make everything as she believes it's meant to be. It made me wonder what it would be like to live in one of the stories I love so much. Probably nothing like I expect. I'm going to try the Musketeers, it looks good, and I can't seem to make it through the book after two tries. Plus, there's Santiago.....

I'm going to try the Musketeers, it looks good, and I can't seem to make it through the book after two tries. Plus, there's Santiago..... You're welcome! That's what was so enjoyable about LIA was Amanda's antics and the mess she made! Wasn't Tom cute as Mr. Bingley! He's certainly good at playing characters in different time periods. What's one of your favorite stories you'd like to live in if you had the chance? After seeing that I thought no way! Nothing during a time where there's no indoor plumbing or electricity!! I'm definitely too much of a modern girl to want to go back that far! I don't care how dreamy Mr. Darcy is suppose to be! That Dr. Darcy was a real pompous a** too even though he was cute. I liked Mr. Darcy better in the 2005 version with Kiera Knightley! They have one of the most romantic scenes ever in that movie!!! Him walking across the field to come and see her!!! The music playing!!! That is to die for and very romantic!!! I tried to read the Musketeers too and couldn't get into the book either so don't feel bad. I always liked the move versions that they've put out although this is probably my favorite of the stories so far. The actors are really great and play off each other so well. Santiago is but Luke who plays D'artagnan is also a cutie. Kiki is a big fan of the show as well. Luke is next to Santiago. If you start watching it let me know if you like it either way.
