I really don't know where to start.   This episode had a lot of stuff packed in the 56 mins, so I may break it up into several posts...

First All my favorite characters are in deep dodo ATM.... Constance in jail, waiting to have her head lopped off....d"Artagnan out cold and who knows where.... Porthos on a solo mission in enemy territory trying to save everyone's bacon.... Aramis in irons for High Treason ... Anne getting ready to defend her life ...   Come on writers that's way too many Cliffhangers to throw at us and have to wait a week..   Does any one but me think this should have been a 2 hr finale..

RIP Dr Lemay, I was hoping you'd make it to 3 and while I'm here I hope the boys stake you out on an ant hill, Rochefort, for making Constance watch... That was really dastardly, you snake.  I can't remember a villain I've disliked so much. (good job Marc and writers  )

Now for the bad job writers.....WHAT THE HE!! are you doing to d'Art... It was totally out of character for him to be so "judgie" when he found out about Annimis.... if any of the boys should have identified with what Arimis went through it was him... He's spent 2 seasons having an affair with a married woman and guilting her for not leaving her hubby.. and then to act "Holier than Thou"....didn't really set well with me.  .... Porthos' had the perfect reaction... stormed up and grabbed Aramis by the collar, looked in his eyes, and gave him a hug (he could see his friend was only following his heart)

OK, I'll stop there.... plenty more to come.... Milady really came through and boy Athos about jumped her on Rochefort's desk (he's got it bad) lol  I told you guys I had a soft spot for her, I could write a whole post on just her this ep.....

There's still Consagnan (some great moments )..... Annamis (perfect for this ep, although I'm not pleased with everyone that knows)... Rochefort (there's a book, I refrain from the "One Eyed Snake" jokes )... and Margerite (who betrayed everyone she knows .... she's got about as much backbone as Little John Louis)

I'm literally going to go crazy!!! I can't remember the last time a show got me this excited and anxious!!!

@shoe You asked for it!!!If I could I'd probably gif the whole thing. Right now most of what I've found are of Aramis & Anne!If I come across Milady and Athos I'll post it! My favorite scene is when Aramis finally reveals the truth about him and Anne! I LOVE Athos's delivery of everything! Treville blames him! Like it's his fault for letting it happen!It was the perfect scene! Everything I could've hoped for and the one with him and Porthos. I'll go over it when I give my review. For now it's gif time!

Believe me I'm just as panicked as you... Everyone's in a pickle.... I couldn't even go read the Advanced Preview till today.... Sandi is really laying it on thick with the angst.   Look at the Dialogue Teasers she selected.... every other word is death... I'll take a stab at em, but their really tuff.   Later BB

I'm back with more gifs!I absolutely loved all the scenes with Aramis & Anne! They were amazing. The way he stood up to defend her and her trying to be strong during the chaos around her. She wasn't going to let Rochefort get the best of her. The looks between the two of them were




The way he looks at her just breaks my heart!It's so full of love!

and the look of hate that Aramis gave him!!! Anne always standing up and
defending HER loyal Musketeers!

This scene was so sad. She wanted him to leave for his own
safety. She should know him by now that Aramis would never leave
her side especially when he knew she was in danger and it meant
leaving his son as well. I loved that she told him that in spite of everything
that is happening around them and that they could both be put to death
that she didn't regret what happened between them.

I think this was Alexandra's best performance of the series, and she really hot with her hair down..(I probably need a drool bib. lol). She has such an expressive face and know hows to use it to reinforce the dialogue....

wednesday, the convent scene and when Aramis storms in to defend her were my favs, but all your choices show what a fantastic job she did this episode... The girl really has talent.

Jen: I totally bought d'Artagnan, shoe! It's treason, not an affair, and d'Art does have the tendency to get a little judgey although it's more like he gets mad because he's worried. You wouldn't expect all of them to be like, "oh ok, no biggie" and d'Artagnan is the youngest, most naive. The Captain's seen it all by now so he's going to be upset then figure out what to do. Porthos did what you'd expect Porthos to do, so that left D. saying, well imo anyway, the most obvious thing.  It's what I'd say to Aramis!  The caveat is he's such a romantic that he's willing to live and die for love, so you can't argue with that. 

My beef was with Athos.   No, no, no!!!  Do not kiss her!!  You can save her, let her help, whatever but do NOT get attached to Milady.  what happened to the lovable misanthrope??   

Anyway, more later from me as well. I loved this ep. despite all the bad things going on with our fave guys and women.

Ok! I finally made it here to try to give my thoughts for EP9! I was on the edge of my seat through this episode so much was going on! I was on the verge of tears, ready to throw things at the screen and wanting to shout just as loud as the Musketeers at Rochefort! shoe20 You really covered alot with your posts!. I'll probably be scatter brained with my thoughts, but I know you can keep up!!

I'm trying to remember how it picked up from the last one! I can't remember since I only got to see it once so I'll just start talking about the scenes I liked then. I loved the whole beginning of the conversation with Athos and Aramis leading up to the confession of the affair! Athos is just so dead pan with his deliveries, he just kills me!"I'm sure the King will appreciate the difference!" Definitely one of my favorite lines! The whole scene between the five of them was epic!!! Poor Aramis didn't even know where to begin so Athos just blurted it out! I knew Treville would have a fit and blame Athos! Like he could really control Aramis! Athos does know Aramis and the things he is capable of like his affair with Adele! I remember in the pilot when he asked Porthos where Aramis was and he said "tell me he's not that stupid!"I just love him! Although D'artagnan's line was funny about not sleeping with the Queen to protect her reputation I can see where it would upset you. It was very hypocritical of him since he had been having an affair with Constance. He wasn't worried about her reputation at all and what the consequences could mean for her. All he said was the gossip would die down! Not very sympathetic. I loved how Porthos handled everything before and after the talk. That's exactly what I would expect from his best friend. I was laughing through the talk because Athos kept saying "there's more!" Like how much worse could it get! Rochefort knows!!! Yep it's that bad!!

I loved how my man rushed in to try to rescue Anne and how he got through to her. The Musketeers are the only ones she trusts. Constance was so brave to stay behind and try to look out for the baby to give Anne peace of mind. I really love their friendship. I loved that they took Anne back to the convent where it all started. It was in EP9 of last season too! Like I said with my gifs, the scene with Anne and Aramis in the room was just sad, but beautiful. She's so concerned with his safety and wanted him to flee, but she should know that he would never leave her and their son when they are in danger plus he is a man of honor and it's his duty to protect them. It's what he lives for and also for his Musketeers. I loved how she reassured him that she didn't regret anything even though they could both be beheaded for what they did. I really wanted them to kiss or hug, but now wasn't the right time! Maybe in the finale!

I love how strong Anne's been through this whole thing and you're right shoe20 Ali's performance has been amazing in this episode and actually this whole season. She's proven that she should be on the throne instead of Louis!!! I really wish they could prove him to be incompetent as ruler and let her take over! He should be committed and out of the picture for letting Rochefort take over and run things. He hasn't done one thing this entire season for the good of the country. All he's done is put the Musketeers down, whine, thrown temper tantrums and suck his thumb!

Poor Dr. Lemay!OMG! That just broke my heart! I was so hoping that he'd make it through to next season. I was just shocked when that happened. Making Constance watch was just She's going to be scarred for life! They can get Marguerite for treason! I was worried about her sticking around next season, but she is responsible for an innocent man's death, accusing him and Constance of having an affair and being instructed by the Queen to poison Louis! PLUS she turned on the Queen at the end when she lead them to the red guards and Rochefort which also lead to them arresting Aramis. So there is no way that Anne will let her live after all of this!!! She better not!
Rochefort is the absolute devil!! He is one of the most vile villains's I've ever seen on a show. Manipulating Marguerite the way he has which I still can't stand her or feel sorry for, and poising the king! The thing I also loathe him for is outing Aramis's affair with Marguerite to Anne!! The look on her face was just of devastation and betrayal. He couldn't even look at her. If that wasn't conformation of her feelings & of their affair!! I wonder if we'll get to see her confront him about it? I mean it's not going to sound good for him to tell her that he was only doing it to see his son, but desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose. Look what he's turned Marguerite into! She's just as nuts as Rochefort is! I really hope Rochefort dies a horrible death in the finale and I hope Aramis is the one to do it!! I love the stare down he gave him!!!

Milday and Athos! I thought they were going to go at it as well! Talk about pent up tension between those two!!! It looks like she was telling the true about his brother. Athos is going to carry this guilt with him to his grave that he didn't believe her. I feel so sorry for him because now he really does feel responsible for what she's become! I'm still surprised that she's helping them, but very happy that she is! I just wonder how it's going to end..

I'm proud of our Porthos! A man on a mission to save everyone! He's our only hope to prove that Rochefort is the spy! I was actually in tears at the end! Aramis being taken away and thrown in prison. Constance screaming that she loved D'artagnan while he's being beaten and dragged away and Anne being threatened too! I don't know how they're going to get out of all of this in just one hour!

Oh!! I don't know how Anne is going to trust any of those red guards after all of this! To me they are the enemy as well. I think the Musketeers should be assigned to protect HER and they should be called the QUEEN's Musketeers! She should have a 24 guard duty and let Aramis take the night shifts!!!What do y'all think!! I think it sounds perfect!!! Anne would have another baby on the way!

The roller-coaster of Emotions is coming

I know we post a lot about the Muski guys but I've been thinking about the Muski gals
  Hey, I'm a guy. lol

The series does a really a good comparison/contrast of women of that time...

Anne.....born to privilege and bartered off at 14 as a political pawn to a loveless marriage....She has everything but what she really wants.... ... Who can blame her for risking it all with the guy she fell hard for?  Now she has a beautiful son to remind her of that love, but is going on trial for her life..... She smart, courageous, and head of heels for a guy she can't have...

Constance.......... a middle class upbringing and shuttled off to the best match poppa could find... love wasn't even a concern for her father.... In a way she really was just a "broodmare".....She like Anne is smart, loving and even more courageous.  And just like Anne falls big for a guy that isn't her husband.  It's really no wonder why she and Anne have become so close, they share so much in common.

Marguerite.... She's an upper class girl who's dad had enough pull to get her into the palace....  What can I say, I feel sorry for her, yes she's betrayed everyone around her, but she was caught up in a whirlwind of lies and blackmail that she saw no way out.  She was only trying to protect her family honor and in doing so dishonored them and herself....sad  Look, love came to visit in the form of a dashing musketeer and she tried to pin it down, doing her best to grab onto the dream... Even with all her emotions up front, Aramis never committed.

Milady de Winter..... (get the bows and arrows/tomatoes ready, lol) A girl born to the bottom rung of the ladder, she learned to lie, cheat, and steal at an early age....She fell for a great guy in Athos and was scared of loosing it all if she admitted her past.. I've always had a soft spot, because I believed her accusations that Thomas tried to rape her and she was just defending herself... After Athos tried to hang her, she fell back on the only thing she knew to survive.... and boy, was she successful.... Confidant to the Cardinal...and the Kings mistress.... yes, I know she's taken lives in the process (killing the girl for the dress was a little over the top, lol), but she was only a reflection of her circumstances.... She's a "hard as nails " gal, made even harder by the love of her life believing everyone but her.
