OMG what an episode... Constance and D'artagnan are so cute. And I love that the queen and Constance are such good friends now. But is it just me or did our heros have a bad day this episode? First they find 2 girls running from a man who beats them and the do nothing about it. Then one of the girls is dead and they still don't worry about the 2nd girl. And then the 2nd girl opens up about her situation and get's caught doing so and they leave her alone again. She could have been killed for revealing the secret before the musketeers came back! That was some lazy heroism this time. But I loved everything else. Rocheford seems to be ill in his head. This guy is completely nuts. I wonder if he put the king on drugs. The king was so in love with "his" son and now he doesn't want to see him at all. That's strange. And the foam on his mouth in the preview... I bet Rocheford played with drugs. I thought the same thing! They could've intervened at the beginning when they saw the guy whipping the two girls! Sure it wouldn't have been their place to interfere, but when has that ever stopped them before when it came to rescuing women! This was really out of character for them I thought. And also going back for the girl a second time. She could've been dead by the time Aramis got back. I can't believe they didn't hear those 2 girls screaming.

Review for 208 What a great episode....Lots of arcs got pushed forward and some like Porthos' Father came to an end.... The subject matter of "virgin sex trade" was really edgy for the series but I thought Adrian and Suzie handled to topic well. Liam Cunningham as Belgard did a great job I've known for a while Porthos had a half-sister Eleanor, but I had no idea she was such a ... What kinda of woman does that to innocent girls??? When d'Art had his sword to her throat... I kept yelling "Go ahead, dude... I'll forgive ya" She made Milady look like a saint, and that takes some doing. When Eleanor's hubby Levesque stood up, threw money and spit across the table at Porthos, Aramis reacted instantly as he call the guy out at the same time handing Porthos his hanky..... Porthos was so cool and collected as he cleaned up and told Levesque " You brought this on your self" I'm goin "OH Yea" this fight is gona be two hits.... Porthos hits him and he hits the ground..... I was pretty close Porthos hit him 3 times and he hit the ground Then Aramis says "Porthos that's enough, unless you want to kiil him" and he said it like I'm good with it either way... your choice, dude. ) We didn't see much of "Prince John" Louis, other than him signing off the ranch to Rochefort.... Can I say "Please writers give him a little character growth or kill em" The little thumb sucker is getting on my nerves. d'Artagnan and Constance owned this episode for me.... Constance wrestling with her guilt of wanting to be with d"Artagnan at the grave and d'Art in his spiffy new cape telling her "I glad he's dead" YES! word "D" I glad the "draper's dead too....He guilted Constance all through S1 threatening her with losing everything if she didn't breakup up .... then faked his own death to keep control... and finally raised his hand to Constance.... Don't look to me to canonize the little weasel...not happening... To him Constance was nothing more than a tool to promote his fame.....he didn't deserve the loyalty she gave him.... good riddance. Thank you Dr Lamey for making you "Weak A$$" move on Constance...You could'a knocked Constance over with a feather when Lamey took her hands and made his pitch.. . Awkward, when he kissed her hands, I looked like she wanted out of her own skin.......... That and Anne's talk was all it took for her to confront her true feelings..... The last woman in morning wore Black for a year.... Constance had it on ... what, an hour and a half. lol Kudos to Tamla for the speed she flew down those steps in that long blue dress (I kept hoping she wouldn't break her neck or ankle before she got to her boy... ) "Your the only man I've ever loved, or ever will love" Hot, Constance! Did anyone else hear "wedding bells" while they were kissing?? I did! One of my favorite scenes was Anne, Constance, and the Dauphin... Anne was gushing with pride that Aramis was the father and just couldn't hold it in anymore "I wish his father could share these precious moments...not the king, his father" d it.. I though it was an honest expression of her love and trust in Constance. And Constance returned the love when she comforted Anne after Rochefort's attack.....These two have built a deep connection with each other.... Womance ? lol Rochefort (the snake sheds his skin)..... After getting Louis to give him the keys to the castle, he tries to enlist Milady's help..... she was cool dropping a little hint about the knowledge she has.... He definitely recognizes she's got skills when it comes to subterfuge. The scene in Anne's chamber he truly did look crazy.....hair all disheveled...shirt open to his belt...pleading for Anne to give him something.... and boy, did she... a slap that rocked his chops and an eye-ectomy. (I was really impressed with Alexandra and Marc's preformance on a tough scene, they really sold it) I was pleased with the way they handled the Porthos' Dad arc..... Treville knew all along it would be his word against Belgard, when Porthos found his dad, and he knew the pack of lies Belgard would use. I agree with the way Treville handled it, rather than telling him his dad planned to kill him and his mother. Porthos never bought Daddy's tale "hook, line, and sinker, because he does trust Treville. I though he was cool, collecting his own clues to the truth.... Good Job Porthos.... There's no doubt Belgard was in on the sex ring, all along. I guess you guys can tell I liked the episode, a lot.....and there's only one thing left to do ..... a one "Snoopy" dance for the eye..... I wish there were 6 more eps so they could keep taking pieces till Aramis runs him through....

I thought it was a good episode as well even though it explored some dark themes. shoe20 You know my feelings on that stuff so I'll skip all of that. This might be a short review since I basically posted all of my favorite scenes with gifs. Porthos was so cool and collected as he cleaned up and told Levesque " You brought this on your self"
She really did disgust me as well. I wouldn't have had a problem with D'artagnan killing her either. In fact I'd have cheered him on. The fact that she actually relished in what she was doing to those girls was just downright sick. How she was so nonchalant over Martine's death also made me ill. Boy when Athos is pissed, look out! If looks could kill everyone in that room would've been dead! I certainly wouldn't want to mess with him! I was grinning from ear to ear when Porthos said that to Levesque because I knew what was coming! Smack down! He totally deserved every second of it! Gosh this show really brings out the violence in me!!! I guess Aramis really would love me then!!! Here's something for you shoe20 I love how my man stood up for Porthos too! We didn't see much of "Prince John" Louis, other than him signing off the ranch to Rochefort.... Can I say "Please writers give him a little character growth or kill em" The little thumb sucker is getting on my nerves
I can't believe that Louis didn't even bother to read what he was signing! What an idiot! He at least read the stuff with the Cardinal and had the good sense to question him! Actually he questioned the Cardinal all the time if you recall and would ask Treville what he thought! I guess since Treville turned down his offer all his good sense went away too. It's really going to come back to bite him next week when Rochefort poisons him. I can't believe it's going to be the affair that Rochefort is going after Anne with for treason. He has no proof! The necklace she gave Aramis! That is nothing!!! The letters that she signed that he has is something completely different. People are going to have to wonder why she stabbed him in the eye. I wonder what kind of lie he's going to come up with. Of course he's going to have Constance arrested so she can't say anything to anyone. That whole scene with Anne and Rochefort was a long time coming. I knew he was going to pull something like that on her even before I read that spoiler because he's beyond insane at this point. Realizing that she gave the necklace to Aramis and that she didn't return his feelings just sent him completely over the edge! Good for Anne!! I just wonder how the Musketeers are going to get there in time to get her out of the palace? And why is Marguerite telling Aramis to save himself? From Rochefort? I love how he shoves her away! He's probably on his way to get Anne. I wonder who's going to get the baby! The whole thing with Lemay was somewhat out of left field. I mean I knew he kinda had a crush on Constance, but to profess his love like that and ask her to marry him. I wanted to smack Constance. After what she told D'artagnan back in EP6 and then to go to this was just silly. I'm glad Anne talked some sense into her. Here she'd give anything to be with Aramis if she could and Constance has it free and clear to be with D'artagnan and she's not seizing the moment! Ugh! Anyway glad she woke up! Sorry shoe20 I guess I wasn't as swept away as you were. The stuff with Porthos's dad was interesting, but I'm a little confused. Belgard told so many lies I couldn't tell what was actually true and what wasn't! Did he really love Porthos's mother? He gave him that fake photo and lied to him? So did he genuinely care about her? He told Treville back in the day that he was going to kill them himself if he didn't take them away because he was going to lose his inheritance! Did he have anything to do with sex trade or not? Camille didn't know anything about him, but that doesn't mean he wasn't pulling the strings. So I'm glad Treville didn't interfere and let Porthos figure things out on his own otherwise he probably wouldn't have believe him. He had to see it for himself. It was sad though because Porthos wanted to see good in his father. :(Treville is the only father he needs. Do you think Milady was genuinely upset by what Athos said to her about there being nothing left to save? She almost looked teary eyed to me? BUT then again with her one can never tell! I think it might have though because it does look like she follows through and comes to his aid in the next episode. Is that the convent she's at or the palace she's helping them sneak out of? She use to sneak in and out of that place for the Cardinal all the time. She'd know the layout of it a lot better than Rochefort would! A lot is going to be going down! I just hate that I'm going to have to watch it on BBCA because there's no telling how much they're going to cut out of it!!! Ok so I had more to say than I thought! jennifer Are you through with the book yet?

wednesday, it's a good thing we came up with a method other than quoting (this thread would be 30 pgs already. ) First, congrats to you and your fellow Hook-a-holics for the Porthos style thumping you gave the competition in the poll.... I'm reading sour grapes already....just remind em your guy is better with one hand than theirs is with two. So, you posted the short version, you crack me up kiddo! BB: I can't believe that Louis didn't even bother to read what he was signing! What an idiot!......... I can't believe it's going to be the affair that Rochefort is going after Anne with for treason."Little John" Louis is still in the same naive denial bubble that Anne was at the beginning of the episode.... she was defending Rochefort to Constance when they talked outside the King's chamber..... Boy, her bubble got blown to smithereens. The light bulb will flash on as Louis chokes on the poison that Rochefort promised to taste first.... Hey, I hope Dr. Lemay is off drowning his rejection and can't make it in time to save Louis..... That would make Anne the Regent .... she could make Aramis her "pillow talk" advisor at night and go to protector by day....No one would say a word. right? I still think it will be the "Spanish Spy Lie" not the infidelity that will be the basis for Rochefort's treason charge.... Your right he could never prove the dauphin was not Louis's son, without a confession from Anne, Aramis, or Constance...(not getting that, is he) He'll go with the letter, cross, and Marguertie's testimony to try and make the charges stick.... Of course he will try to coerce Constance into betraying the Queen.....Fat chance there... (It would be great if Constance could get a body part too, lol) BB: People are going to have to wonder why she stabbed him in the eye. I wonder what kind of lie he's going to come up with.My guess is he will say Anne attacked him when he found the letter and accused her of treason....With Constance out of the way no one can testify to the truth but Anne..... Hey, the guy's "Bat $hit Crazy" but his devious is still functioning I just wonder how the Musketeers are going to get there in time to get her out of the palace? And why is Marguerite telling Aramis to save himself? From Rochefort? I love how he shoves her away! He's probably on his way to get Anne. I wonder who's going to get the baby!Total guess work here, and because it my guesses, Milady gets to be the heroine This is her episode to be redeemed, I've waited for it all season... I watch the pub scene between her and Athos again and two things really bothered her .... first when he told her he'd given her everything (she knows how deeply he loved her) and second when he told her there was nothing left to redeem. ( opposite foreshadowing ) There was a reason she sought out Athos with the info and it wasn't money, honey.... She went with her "money for info "A" game because she's too stubborn to be the first one to flinch..... Milady will lead the Musketeers and Anne to safety. Once Anne is safe Aramis will go back for his son. Marguerite sees her part in the betrayal and is feeling crappy about it.... she may even recount her planed testimony at the trial to help free the Queen and Aramis..... Aramis pushes her aside not because he's angry at her, but he is focused on getting his son to safety.... I just though of something Milady BB, we don't need no stinking episode, we'll just write the season finale our selves. BB: The stuff with Porthos's dad was interesting, but I'm a little confusedNo doubt in my mind...Belgard was knee deep in the family business.... that's why he gun down Levesque to keep the truth from coming out...he knew after that Eleanor would keep her trap shut. I was hoping Eleanor would loose a "body part" too. I really like the way they wrote Porthos..... not the "Brawling Oaf", but the "calm/cool undeniable force" that will open a can of "WhoopA$$" and stab ya with a fork if you cross him. I enjoyed at the end when he used his patented kick to the belly to break down the door and save the girl... Seriously, Porthos needs "Hurt" & "Pain" tattooed on his knuckles.
Lighting round : )) The whole thing with Lemay was somewhat out of left field. Boy, was it. haha .....he went from "catch the blood" to "I want ya to have my babies" at warp 6 Scotty would have been proud, but Constance freaked. I wanted to smack Constance. I get why you felt that way.... They've written Constance choosing between "love and guilt" with an Elena pen. The queen of indecision and constipated emotions. I just hate that I'm going to have to watch it on BBCA... You and me both, BB...but the writings on the wall and I'm making plans to find a way....We'll get the whole thing 6 days later...... Hey, It's not like we only watch it once, right. I'd rather be in our boat than with the gang across the pond....

Not through with the book yet but feel free to talk about it wednesday! It might be the end of the season before I make it, keep getting distracted by other books. I didn't like this episode. I liked certain moments, most of which are giffed already - thanks wednesday. Go Anne! Go Constance! The build-up about Porthos' Dad didn't deliver, or not much, and I didn't like the slave trade storyline because it was so one note - these are bad guys, they do bad things, get 'em Musketeers. It was cool when Porthos didn't let on that the painting wasn't his Mom until the end. Smart. The idea that Rochefort is drugging Louis is a good one Kiki. Also, they pretty much laid out what Rochefort's plan is when Louis explained how his own Dad/King was assasinated. Anyway, the last two eps. look very promising! EDIT: I watch on BBCA and the show lasts over an hour, usually by 15mins. How long is it when you stream?

jennifer, hey girl....... Your getting all but about 4 mins of the BBD1 broadcast on BBCA.... Here's something I posted on Spoiler. They don't clip a bunch, usually about 4 1/2 mins.....Formula for US broadcasts is they want 4 1/2 mins of every 15 mins of the time slot.....Almost every US series is 42 mins of show 18 mins of commercials ... Musketeers time slot is 1 hr 15 min and the show time of piece of the pie is around 56 min (BBC1)... I've never watched the BBCA version even though I live in the States, but my guess is it's about 52 mins of show... I heard the Amazon and BBC1 versions are the same and of course the DVD's are everything..... BBCA just clips another commercial slot... I have heard from those that have seen both versions, some of the clips are significant to the SL Your right girl these last two episodes are going to be great. Really nice video, wednesday, I enjoyed it.

“You have no future without me now, everything I do you are a part of” Rochefort to Marguerite
“I swear I will not allow anything to happen to you because of me” Aramis to Anne“If you really love her there’s one thing you can do to really prove it” Porthos to Aramis
“At least she had the guts to stay when none of us would” d'Artagnan to “I had a feeling you might prove stubborn” Rochefort to Constance“Let her think I am still angry for now, and later I will forgive her bad judgement” Louis to Rochefort “There might be some risk of infection” Lemay to Rochefort Trailer Teaser“There is only you and I now” Rochefort to Anne
shoe20 Well it looks like the cat is definitely out of the bag with Milady's comment to D'artagnan about the baby!!! How are they going to keep the secret now with this many people knowing!

shoe20 It's a good thing we came up with a method other than quoting (this thread would be 30 pgs already. )
This is very true!!! Especially with us!! We'd be out of control!!! It's all good though when it comes to a show you actually enjoy right! First, congrats to you and your fellow Hook-a-holics for the Porthos style thumping you gave the competition in the poll.... I'm reading sour grapes already....just remind em your guy is better with one hand than theirs is with two.
Thank you, thank you!! We did good this round, Porthos style thumping!! I like that! Only we would actually get that reference! I'm hoping they make it the next go around! I love my Capt. Swan! Couldn't agree more with the last part of your sentence!!! So, you posted the short version, you crack me up kiddo!
I really tried for a short version, but I should've known better! When has that ever happened! Hey, I hope Dr. Lemay is off drowning his rejection and can't make it in time to save Louis..... That would make Anne the Regent .... she could make Aramis her "pillow talk" advisor at night and go to protector by day....No one would say a word. right?
I like Louis's new name! Little John Louis!!! I wonder where you got that idea! I would LOVE for Dr. Lemay to be drowning his sorrows over Constance but we know we won't be that lucky!!! I do love the idea of Aramis being her "pillow talk" advisor though!!! I don't know why Louis should care! He had Milady who he flaunted in front of everyone! As long as Anne was VERY discreet I don't see the problem with it! I do love the idea of him being her protector during the day too because he always has been! They should really call them the Queen's Musketeers because she appreciates them and always gives them credit. They'd rather guard her anyway. I like the comment Athos made to Imposter Louise about him hardly changing when she said she hadn't seen him since he was a child! That was one of my favorite lines of that episode! (It would be great if Constance could get a body part too, lol)
They're going to have to go with the Spanish spy because I think that's what it says in the description too. There is no way they can prove the affair and no one is going to come forward about it. Marguerite only thinks she knows because Aramis gave Anne caring looks, but you could just write that off as jealously for her. Yeah Constance definitely isn't going to betray her! We know that from those pics and the advanced preview! I just wonder what it was that made her stay? Was she trying to get the baby or was she staying as a diversion so they could escape? I just thought of something Milady BB, we don't need no stinking episode, we'll just write the season finale ourselves.
I love that idea! Well in that case! Rochefort would poison Louis and he would die and then Rochefort would be arrested for treason and be put to death!!! Problem solved!!! Anne could rule on her own and have Aramis by her side like we suggested! Constance and D'artagnan would get married. Athos and Milady would work on their trust issues. Treville would be reinstated as Captain. Porthos would find him a new love interest! Oh we'd have to marry Marguerite off and send her far, far way so I never have to see her face again! How does that sound!!! I thinks it's pretty awesome myself!!! What about you jennifer. How would you write the finale? No doubt in my mind...Belgard was knee deep in the family business.... that's why he gun down Levesque to keep the truth from coming out...he knew after that Eleanor would keep her trap shut.
Ok well that makes sense. I wondered what Levesque meant when he said what kind of a game are you playing now. So he probably mean that Belgard was going to pretend that he knew nothing about any of it. Lemay went from "catch the blood" to "I want ya to have my babies" at warp 6 Scotty would have been proud, but Constance freaked.
Nice Scotty reference!! Almost made me want to go put the movie on again!! I get why you felt that way.... They've written Constance choosing between "love and guilt" with an Elena pen. The queen of indecision and constipated emotions
You know I love Constance dearly, but I haven't cared much for this version of her this season. I understand all the conflicting emotions toward D'artagnan, but after EP6 this just didn't make any sense at all! I REALLY hope they get back to S1 with pretty much everything! Personality wise, brotherhood moments and bonding, but ESPECIALLY the humor!! That is what made me love the show mixed with the guy bonding! jennifer What other books are you reading? I didn't like this episode. I liked certain moments, most of which are giffed already - thanks wednesday.
It wasn't my favorite and I didn't like the sex trade thing either. I hated it actually, but you can tell all the stuff I did like from my gifs so you're welcome! I do love the relationship Anne and Constance have developed and I'm sure it will really strengthen in the last 2 episodes with everything that's going down!!!! I loved how Anne let her in on her biggest secret and encouraged her to be with D'artagnan! That was the kick she finally needed! I really hope we continue to see that friendship grow next season! It would make sense that Rochefort is drugging Louie. He certainly feeds his paranoia. Oh how I wish Louis would just kick the bucket like I said above, but I don't think we could be so lucky yet! I can't wait till Saturday!!!! I'm ready!!! After those teases I posted, it's going to be intense!!!!
