shoe20 Ok here it is as promised! How'd I do! I guess it's a start. You know how obsessed I am about gifs and videos so I'll add more later. You know who my favorite is so expect to see a lot of him! BUT I do love the others so there will be plenty of them as well! My thoughts on "EP4 Emilie" Tonight's Musketeers was awesome!!! I LOVED it! Yeah it didn't have the humor that I love, but it was all about Aramis! The guys each had their moments which felt like last season. It was more balanced. Aramis and Anne kissed! Holy crap!!!! And Constance saw them! I wonder if Constance will put 2 and 2 together and figure out that Aramis is the father. I loved how protective he got when he saw her in the tent! Little does Constance know how much she and Anne really have in common. Both trapped in loveless marriages, both in love with Musketeers. Well we were wondering if Aramis was really having a thing with Marguerite and I guess they answered that tonight. Boy is she an idiot! She can't figure out that he's just using her! All he talks about is the baby and it's safety!! Wake up woman! I wonder how Anne would feel if she knew he was sleeping with Marguerite? I guess she might see how desperate he is and the lengths he is willing to go to to be near his son. I can't believe she had the nerve to ask him if he loved her! He made it clear where they stood. He's fond of her and it's a fleeting affair. He loved Adele because he told her. I'm glad she actually meant something to him and he's not a complete womanizer. I can't believe that they demoted Treville!! Will he still be a Musketeer? Who's going to be the Captain? Rochefort is getting more and more out of control! Blackmailing the priest, Milday and Marguerite, having the Ambassador killed and killing the prostitue! Good grief! He's 10 times worse than the Cardinal! Do you think they're being too over the top with him being bad? Treville let it out that he does know something about Porthos's father! I wonder when we're going to find out about that. I felt really sorry for that girl Emilie. Being betrayed by her mother like that. I hope we get to see more Constance and D'artagnan. I would've liked more, but tonight was a start. I've got to say Louis is an absolute idiot! He can't see that he's being played like a violin by Milady and Rochefort!! His country was on the verge of war and all he's worried about is getting laid! I was surprised that Milday was trying to speak up and defend Treville against Rochefort. I really liked seeing the guys bond again. D'artagnan asking Athos if he wanted to drink alone. Armais telling Emilie that Athos had experience with detoxing someone. That was really heartbreaking. I liked that they were all willing to protect her. I love seeing all these sides of Aramis. Yes he may be seen as a womanizer, but he also has his faith and he's willing to do everything he can to protect people that share the same beliefs. Do you believe that Athos is still in love with Milady? I can't believe they killed off the 2 Spanish men in the beginning. That was kinda brutal! They need to do something about Rochefort! I have some more to add! Did they kill both the men in the carriage? Do you think the doctor has a crush on Constance? I don't understand why the guys didn't arrest the man who threw the rock! He committed murder right in front of everyone!!! I can't believe Aramis was hooking up with Marguerite at the palace. Shouldn't he be worried about Anne finding out or her having her reputation ruined. Look at Rochefort, that's how he was able to blackmail her!!! Do you think she's really going to spy on the queen? I wonder if she'll tell Aramis? He must've planned on ending the affair anyway because he told her that she'd need to marry someone soon. So many questions!!!! Kiki You know how intense I am when I watch it! Ok shoe20 and Kiki Let's hear your thoughts! Favorite moment:

Wow wednesday...... bang up job, BB There's a whole morn of fun right here already..... See, I told ya you'd do a better job than I..... Thanks for putting the theme song first I'm gona loop it as I post.... BBC just does a fantastic job on any period series the do and I really like this one.... They're 17th century "cowboys" swinging swords rather than six shooters. What's not to like..... BBC always has such attention to detail when they do a series.... The costumes and sets are topnotch and add to the realism.....It's like an adventure I know a lot about horses and the stock they chose is exactly what would have been ridden..... even the tack is what would have been used.... saddles and bridles ..... In the ep last night they flashed to a blacksmith working a shoe on his anvil.... yes, it was a shoe they used in that time...(attention to detail) They stretch feasibility a bit with some of the shots they make, but I can live with that. Now for my one complaint. ..... the directors are a bunch of "leftist" that seem to have something against a left handed sword fighter.... I've watched all the eps twice and haven't found one yet... Yes, I looked...lol With one out of ten on this rock being left handed, you'd think we'd be represented at least once. OK, rant off.... I like something about each of the boys, but Aramis combines the lover, fighter, sensitive guy in a believable package. D'Artagnan is learning though and his scenes with Constance are great.... I love how you compared them to Aramis and Anne, that's exactly what I see... It had to be tough for women of that time to be trapped in a love less marriage.... As Constance explained to D'Artagnan she had a lot to loose choosing him..... What about Anne being wed as a child because of a political reason? Yep, much better to be the "cowboy" than the "cowgirl" in 1650. I'll be back tonight to post on this last episode, I'll try to keep it separate to not spoil the "catcher uppers" like tara and jennifer...... Thanks a ton, BB .... this is going to be a fun thread.....

I love this show and I love Santiago and I love the opening graphic so beautiful.... Since my addiction to Outlander I am really into this historical stuff and shows like Musketeers and Reign are my fave at the moment. Interesting how much you learn about history even if the shows do not get everything right I tend to read the real history on wikipedia to find any spoilers and that's education lol But what made me interested in this show was Santiago. I knew him from his role as Lancelot in Merlin and I loved him there although I must admit that I only watched his scenes on youtube and not the show. When I heard he was doing a new show I just tuned in to watch him and I fell in love with The Musketeers. Nice show and I can watch it live on BBC. The only show I can watch legally when it's aired

I had to check out the page - wonderful job wednesday! So many avatar options from those gifs. I have the theme song stuck in my head from bingeing S1 recently. It's too hard to choose a favorite Musketeer! They all have good qualities and different fighting styles and ways with the women. I like that it's set outside so often, and the sets and action scenes are awesome! So what type of horses are they riding shoe20, you poor persecuted leftie? I'll be back once I catch up!

I'm glad you like it! As you probably might have noticed we got renewed for a 3 season!!! Oh don't worry about gifs! You know my obsession with them by now so there will definitely be no shortage of them! Heck I'll probably gif each episode with as many as I have saved up! It really is hard to choose between the guys because they all bring something unique in their own way to the show, but Aramis does stand out for me. Can't wait till you catch up with us. There won't be a new episode next Friday due to a rugby game! BOO!!!! The next episode will be February 13th.

Hurry, your butt up girl. I expect you to be caught up in two wks.... You ask about the horses.....in the mid 1600 France they were probably using Norman Cob's a breed of light draft horse. The actual horses used in production had to come from around Prague, because that's where their filming the series. They resemble a Kladruber (the oldest breed in the Czech republic) but also the Dutch Warmblood breeds very popular in Europe.........The point is their a mix of draft and the more refined Thoroughbred...... If you look down at their feet, an many you will see long hair around the fetlocks, which indicates more "Tinker Pony" (draft horse.) The Musketeers road trucks.... not sports cars.

shoe20 Ok is it just me or is Anne getting a little bold with showing her feelings toward Aramis? When she was in the tent with him she was the one who initiated the kiss, wouldn't you agree? Anyone could've walked in and did! Constance. And when they went back to the palace she was practically mooning over him holding his hand, (which frankly I loved) but I worry for Aramis!!! Do you think it's because Louis is flaunting Milday if front of everyone and she doesn't care now? That crazy obsessive psychopath Rochefort is watching her like a hawk and now has Aramis on his radar since he's now gone to Marguerite and is blackmailing her to spy on the queen! Someone needs to catch on to him quick and put a stop to his meddling. I'd love it if Constance and Anne started covering for each other so they could go see D'artagnan and Aramis!! Kiki had a question about Milday. What does she want from Louis. Of course she does it for the power she gets as the King's mistress but what does she want with this power. What's her goal? I think she's using it to have protection. Before she met him she was having to rough it living in the woods with bandits doing petty crimes. What do you think? Anne being all bold for all the world to see! You'd have to be blind not to see these two have feelings for each other!
