@shoe I agree Aramis came off looking like a cad, with the Marguerite stuff..... but I get what was driving him...(his son) Bad enough the Manchild holds him like a prize toy, but to not be close to him would be unbearable for Aramis. I agree they didn't have to make the cross a gift from Rochefort to Anne.... having Marguerite steal it just didn't make sense... Rochefort was close enough to see it was his several times...
jennifer I didn't have much of a problem with how naive Aramis acted until it came to Marguerite taking off his cross, his prized possession. I couldn't suspend reality to think a sharpshooter trained to notice the slightest movement didn't feel his cross being taken off!
Kiki and I chatted about the very thing on our movie date.... She was under the impression the cross had a clasp, which no one could do one-handed...looking at it closer, I think it was tied, but still, it's a real stretch to think she could do it one handed and Aramis was too numb to feel it.
I completely get why he was using her. I can't stand how man child prances him around like a toy either! Makes me As much as I can't stand the thought about what would happen to Anne and Aramis if people found out the baby wasn't Louis, I'd love to see the look on Louis's face! He thinks he's all that and then some! Like I said before, the dauphin has more maturity than he does! I don't know how Aramis didn't feel her getting the necklace off either, I guess they really did expect us all to suspend belief with this one, but I found some gifs that I think answered one question. It was tied. It looks like it could've been easy to take off, but one handed I don't think so With all the fighting that Aramis does he still manages to keep it on! Yeah definitely not believable! He probably had that thing double tied so I say crappy writing on that!
I didn't notice the blood at the beginning during the carriage battle, but did notice d'Artagnan's bloody hands. My take on it was metaphorical, that d'Artagnan had her husband's 'blood on his hands' believing he played a role in his death. He was the reason Bonacieux called Constance back from the Loureve and was at that location to collect her when he got bolted to death (hehe, a fabric play on words
I get the metaphor with that part. I guess I was really referring to the part with Treville and his surgery! They've never gotten that visual before. When Porthos got injured last season and Aramis had to stitch him up they didn't show all blood and guts! I'd actually have preferred that this time! I'm kinda squeamish I guess you'd say! I know that's probably hard to believe considering I watch TO, but they've toned that down a lot! Nice play on words!
Yep, he's a Manchild whose a little "light in the loafers" Rochefort's his hero and big daddy.... Wake up call is coming, soon. lololol I thought he was going to have Rochefort jump in bed and hold his hand until he drifted off to sleep.
I wouldn't put it past him!!! I was waiting for Louis to pull a Little John and then ask him to sing him a lullaby!I can't wait for Louis to see Rochefort's true colors!!!! I dare him to diss the Musketeers then! I want to see him beg and plead for their forgiveness!!!!
I think Milady is gona go all "double agent" these next eps.... she'll get close to Rochefort with the knowledge she got this ep, so she can set him up for the kill..
I really hope you're right. From some of those pics it looks like she's leaning towards the right direction this time!!! Let's hope so anyway!
He's really gona be nuts now he knows about Annamis.....I do think he's going to turn on Anne.
Well we know he suspects them because of Marguerite and her big mouth and in the promo pics it looks like he's trying to strangle her! She's the reason he's looking like a pirate now so yeah I'd say he's turned on her since he's the one that's setting her up for treason! He's a total perv being obsessed with her since she was 12!
I think Treville will stay with the boys and be reinstated with the title of Capt..... None of the boys ever thought he left... It was nice of him to give Athos the nod and tell him how comfident he was in his ability to lead.
Once Louis gets his head straight and sees the light then I think Treville will be reinstated as well. I love how the boys think that too and even the queen! She still calls him Capt and does it in front of Rochefort and how she makes sure to always give the Musketeers credit for everything NOT the red guards!
As far as the stuff with Porthos's dad goes, just one more day to go!!! I hope it's as good as they've built it up to be!
