Dang, they did say it was 'last night' didn't they? ugh I was trying to give them at least a couple of days and I was still having issues, BUT OVERNIGHT?@ You're killin me, aliensoul13, killin me. Or more accurately the writers are. They are treating it like a basic stab wound, and not a stab wound that we know punctured a vital organ and killed the guy. You know if Liam was around for that he would be highly suspicious, he don't put up with no questionable medical shenanigans!! Just know next time you are at a party if someone gets stabbed directly in the heart, grab some cocktail napkins and keep pressure on it, and that dude will be walking out of the ER by morning going to the next shindig. Also he might even be your date because you saved his life and all. And why are we all now realizing that the show does a horrendous job of paying attention to details? I mean... what have we been watching for the last 5 years? Come on people. Sweeping things under the rug is the go-to move for these writers. (BTW, where is April? She just disappeared without a trace. What the hell? See what I'm talking about. Sigh!) Either it's just plain laziness or they just don't think those things are important. I think it has to do more with the latter, but what they don't realize is that by doing such things, the show eventually loses a lot of its credibility, and as the seasons become weaker and weaker, those small details begin to take more of an importance. Before we gave it a pass, but now it's just one more thing that drives us nuts. The irony is that JP has actually criticized other shows for doing the same thing. She didn't mention any by name but spoke of it as a fan herself she hates it when that happens.

Animated Ms Cuddles will be the REAL big bad of season 6. She'll be this generation's Chucky.

This is my new favorite game, rewriting season 6 and guessing what the characters are doing off screen. Ms Cuddles going on a hookers and coke binge with Alaric causes Damon to throw a jealous fit ripping one of Ms Cuddles ears off. Alaric and Damon break up. Damon sleeps with Jo.

Let me join in on the fun; Alaric is pissed. He wants to reclaim what was once his. And it is not what, or rather who, one might think; he wants his Damon back. You see, we learn that the reason Alaric took an interest in Jo in the first place is those bulging, bright blue eyes of hers, that pitch black hair and that snarky attitude. She was basically Damon with female parts - and less deadly. And so Alaric plots to murder Jo Laughlin. For that he must join forces with Kai.

I've gotta say it bothers me to call people out on how they voted. It's anonymous. Sure, people don't have to respond to questions about their vote, but particularly if only one person voted a certain way, it's putting someone on the spot. Would anyone ask why one person gave an episode a 1? I doubt it. Some people intensely dislike TVD now, others still find it entertaining or even look forward to watching it. Who cares, you know? We're all in this together wherever we are on the spectrum. Its a debate roundtable. For us to debate. Make our arguments/case for why we loved or loathed the episode, what worked what didn't work. If this was just a poll thread I would agree with you, but I was geniunely curious wanted someone to debate why they thought it was a 5, I would also want someone to do the same if they voted a 0. To be clear, I was talking about questioning anonymous voting only, not whether it's ok to debate on this thread. It's pretty clear I like to debate! I thought the point of anonymity was that votes were only open for debate if people offered how they voted.

I just have to put in my 2 Canadian cents which are worth less than US but that's just to explain how little it's worth so you've been warned but here it goes: Alaric is pissed but he's jealous of Damon and Ms. Cuddles. Damon is sleeping with her because she's basically the female version of Alaric - all that chest hair, being used by a witch (Bonnie) just as Alaric was use by a witch (Esther) and she's also a closet alcoholic. Being brought to life and into the future took a heavy toll on Ms. Cuddles and Damon is the consequence of this upheaval. Of course the Damon and Ms. Cuddles 'relationship' doesn't last long because Ms. Cuddles isn't the love Stefan's life so Damon loses interest quickly. Stefan tries in vain to get them back together because somewhere along the line Stefan became a Damon sympathizer and wants nothing but his happiness over anything else.

All of you are probably wondering why I'm not writing reviews on the episodes. (At-least on a consistent basis.) Well, the fact is I'm bored; this show doesn't excite me nearly enough, and unless I'm compelled (pun not intended) to say something, I usually don't. But I do enjoy reading all of your comments, so keep it up. Maybe things will change as the season progresses. Who knows.

My Ms. Cuddles fan fiction is a reflection of my own boredom with the show so you're definitely not alone even if you're not playing along.

Uhm... I didn't think. Seriously, Tyler ran over dozens of people at the maze. What the hell do we assume happened? The police cleared it off as accident? A kid actually died. Did somebody compel the police to forget/let it go? I get crap happens all the time on this show (e.g. vampires eating people), but that normally happens in secluded areas and cleared off as animal attacks, and if the poor victims live to tell the tale, they are compelled to forget. But the Tyler incident happened in the public. Jo was there, a lot of kids were there, they were taken to the hospital, etc. There had to be an investigation. I'm curious. What do you guys think happened?

What did you Like?
Elena not remembering Damon and not being able to fight the compulsion to get her memories and feelings back of him.
Enzo because he’s an honest psychopath who doesn’t hide who he is and the other characters treat him appropriately as such.
Bonnie and Kai. Kai is super creepy and I like it because Bonnie treats him like a creep.
Every scene with Matt.
I surprisingly liked Elena and Liam together. They have great chemistry and seem very age appropriate together. I agree with Damon, Liam is sexy.
The DE rain kiss came off like a good bye gift to DE fans and that DE are finally over. The rain kiss was nothing like the scene in The Notebook which is what the fans were hoping for.
Damon saving Elena, accepting that Elena is happy Damon-less and hopefully he’ll really leave her alone.
Stefan’s apology to Caroline was beautiful.
Ms. Cuddles and Damon.
What you did not like?
All the delena scenes. Normally they aren't my favourite but this episode was just too much.
Damon diminishing all the horrible things he’s done as though we don’t remember what really happened. We do!
Damon: Just a heads up doc, you’re gonna be in real high demand when a bunch of vampires who wanna be human again if you could repeat that little healing trick you did at the border with Ric last night.
Jo: Well just a heads up but saving Alaric’s life was a matter of a treatable death wound (Caroline, Enzo, Stefan, Damon, Elena all qualify), perfect timing (with prep work ahead of time and the medical staff and equipment available you create perfect timing – they do it in planned surgeries all the time!) - and fear of losing the most interesting guy I’ve dated in awhile adrenalin. (I think Jo has low standards). 100% unrepeatable (Julie Plec's words) which is why you will tell no one.
I’m with everyone else that Ric being well enough to go to a party and drink after mere hours of having his heart repaired wasn’t explained well enough to be believable.
Bonnie noticing the pen on the table and being able to grab it to kill Kai but not grabbing all the pieces to the ascendant when they were lying right in front of her.
Caroline pushing the picture of Steftan down. Didn’t Damon do the exact same thing a few episodes ago? Is this why I’m hating Caroline now because she’s turning into Damon by being a petulant little child who’s whining because the object of her affection doesn’t feel the same in return? He saved her last episode, helped save her mom this episode and apologised for his behaviour but it’s still not good enough?
Caroline referring to Stefan as gum stuck on her shoe. I know the writers are trying to create this push-pull dynamic for Steroline but it’s not working. I preferred them last season when they were bonding over their common ground.
Stefan wanting to kill Tripp when he didn’t even know there was a back up plan in place in case Tripp ever went missing but then he seemed shocked and defensive when Enzo actually killed Tripp. I have no clue what the writers are doing with Stefan’s character this season and I don’t like it.
Tyler and Liv. Tending bar doesn’t make up for Liv killing someone for Tyler. I’m still not understanding why Tyler can’t be a werewolf again. He functioned well as a werewolf so why can’t that happen again? If it’s to create this tension between Liv and Tyler it’s not working.
Enzo telling Stefan Caroline has a thing for him. Wasn’t this already established a few episodes ago?
Damon telling Elena he would never give up memories of her no matter how much agony he was in yet in 4x13 he said the complete opposite as a justification as to why Elena shouldn’t take the cure. His declaration was supposed to be romantic but it came off as shaming Elena for making a decision that was best for her.
Bonnie was able to use magic to blow up part of the hospital to stop Kai but she couldn’t open a locked door to escape.
Ms Cuddles and the magic swapping. What was your favorite scene/quote?
You met Liam who also has very pretty eyes not to mention but he’s never killed your brother.
Best comedic line of the entire series – My fingers were covered in blood and the touch screen wouldn’t work.
He sort of invited himself mostly to stalk Elena. - speaking for the SE fandom since the pilot.
What scene was the most shocking to you or caught you off guard?
Tripp dying because he was turned into a vampire.
So I realised after writing this that I hated the episode more than I thought so I've revised my rating to a 2.
