jennifer crimmyj it's anonym and nobody or nobody wasn't forced to tell his vote unless he wanted to explain it to us. And I appeciate it. It's interesting to see why someone loved it so much. Another point of view... that's what we are here for

Its a debate roundtable. For us to debate. Make our arguments/case for why we loved or loathed the episode, what worked what didn't work. If this was just a poll thread I would agree with you, but I was geniunely curious wanted someone to debate why they thought it was a 5, I would also want someone to do the same if they voted a 0. I've definitely given the lowest rating before but lately I've been drawn to the 3. Nothing's been terribly great for me and as long as Stefan is in the episode even if Paul looks bored or constipated then it'll get a 3. There are shows that really do deserve a zero rating and TVD isn't quite there yet. Maybe if they animate the bear... I've stuck on 3's too. Though I did give a 2. 3 for me is....hey there was some good stuff, but an equal amount of really meh stuff. Our wasteful stuff that neither contributed to a storyline or totally wasted exposition time.

Uhm, I don't understand... How Ric, whose descending aorta was nicked, could be released from the hospital after one night? And he's walking around and stuff. OH man, don't even get me started on Ric's miraculous recovery. It has been driving me freaking nuts since the moment her hand compression and some tissue from her pockets saved his life. His heart was punctured. A heart continually pumping blood to live. For which there had to be some modicum of internal bleeding that Jo's napkins couldn't have mopped up, and oh I don't know....surgery would have been required to fix. Even after the simplest of surgeries you wouldn't be going to no damn parties in a few days time. I had a gall bladder removed and it took me longer to recover than someone who would have had their chest cavity open in order to repair the most vital organ in their body. *bangs head on keyboard* I tried to tell myself that it must have been a few days at the least (because that's so much better...), but in the hospital scene Damon tells Jo to repeat that saving act she performed on Ric 'last night'. Uhm... Seriously. Dude. I mean, the writer can't NOT have wondered how long it takes to recover from something that traumatic, and then NOT RESEARCHED it. Logic alone should have made them pause and scratch their heads. I can't.

Damon called her out when she walked in Alaric's room when he and Damon were talking and she denied it. Then Damon called her out again when she was at the party with Alaric and she denied it again. I suspect these two scenes are Jules idea of subtle hints..............maybe. 4 THE ORIGINAL DIARY GANG, Nobody!!!

Maybe one of his vampire friends healed him with vampire blood?

Dang, they did say it was 'last night' didn't they? ugh I was trying to give them at least a couple of days and I was still having issues, BUT OVERNIGHT?@ You're killin me, aliensoul13, killin me. Or more accurately the writers are. They are treating it like a basic stab wound, and not a stab wound that we know punctured a vital organ and killed the guy. You know if Liam was around for that he would be highly suspicious, he don't put up with no questionable medical shenanigans!! Just know next time you are at a party if someone gets stabbed directly in the heart, grab some cocktail napkins and keep pressure on it, and that dude will be walking out of the ER by morning going to the next shindig. Also he might even be your date because you saved his life and all.

Maybe one of his vampire friends healed him with vampire blood? He was still in pain at the party as he mentioned to Jo, so he wasn't vamp healed (because that completely erases the medical issue entirely). Plus writers shouldn't have audiences merely assume something happened off screen without giving tells. I mean I can assume off screen Alaric has a hookers and coke problem if that is the case.

Maybe that's why Isobel left him. She was tired of her husband needing hookers and coke more than he needed her.

I am just going to start assuming crazy stuff happening off screen that the audience isn't privy too. like my new imaginary hooker and coke problem that Alaric has. and Stefan's side job as a dog walker. While Damon knits baby booties all due to his pregnant lady killin guilt. Speaking which...can't we dump some of the unnecessary Delena rehash, and move forward with the sarah salvatore storyline.

I mean... what have we been watching for the last 5 years? Come on people. Sweeping things under the rug is the go-to move for these writers. (BTW, where is April? She just disappeared without a trace. What the hell? See what I'm talking about. Sigh!) Either it's just plain laziness or they just don't think those things are important. I think it has to do more with the latter, but what they don't realize is that by doing such things, the show eventually loses a lot of its credibility, and as the seasons become weaker and weaker, those small details begin to take more of an importance. Before we gave it a pass, but now it's just one more thing that drives us nuts.

Alaric looks so the part for hookers and coke. It must be all that chest hair. I was also thinking that female Ted and Damon would be adversaries. Think of how how many scenes they could have of Damon trying to kill her.
