Loved, loved this episode wednesday. So much Ichabod/Abbie time, solid time talking about the past, their fates...that moment when Abbie realized the thing they had that none of the stone people had was each other. Such a perfect moment for the two witnesses and friends. I'd be very disappointed about Frank if we didn't know he's returning next week. :)So next week 'one has to fall' or whatever the promo said. I'd love to see Henry and Katrina go, in that order! But Abraham's story was brought forward again this ep. making me think he'll be the baddie to go, but the cost will be Frank. I'm guessing that based on the synopsis, that Frank might be able to wield the sword because he's soulless so he'll kill Abraham, then quickly succumb to Moloch or Henry. Or do you think they'll go all in and Henry or Katrina will die? At least we only have to wait a week. My husband thinks Katrina needs to go like 3 episodes ago or "at least they need to change her out of that old corset." LOL. He thinks they've milked the "Henry might change" story line for way too long. "He's the Horseman of War; how many times does he have to tell Katrina he's lost his humanity?" I keep wondering though...there's usually someone who gets a chance at redemption. The good guys are firmly good unless you count Hawley, which I don't. So that leaves baddies as possible candidates if SH wants to follow that convention, which it might not. Can't wait!!!!

OK you two, I just finished S1 and I'm hooked.... what a great season finale... wow, didn't see that one comin'.... I really like the interaction of Ich and Abbie, it's both playful and full of feels..... I really didn't see Henry Parrish being the Crane's son and I'm usually sharper than that.... I love a series that throws me a curve.... I'll be with ya shortly, until I catch up it's on the rest of the thread...... FUN SERIES!

PROMO FALL FINALE "AKEDA" 2X11 SPOILER:
Any scoop on the Sleepy Hollow finale? —Debra
The Sword of Methuselah isn't as awesome as Abbie and Ichabod had been lead to believe. "It turns out that although this sword has the ability to kill demons, it essentially extracts your life force, your soul," co-executive producer Albert Kim reveals. "So, you have to sacrifice your own life in order to use it. It sets up a really great conflict and decision as to who is going to sacrifice themselves to prevent Moloch from achieving his apocalypse."

SPOILER:
Question: Michael, if I promise to send you one of my many Smurf figurines, will you give me some post-hiatus Sleepy Hollow scoop? Pretty please!? —Alyssa
Ausiello: Are we talking silver CB operator- or purple baseball catcher-level Smurfs here, Alyssa? Please note: Your answer will directly affect the level of scoop. Actually, nevermind. Anything for a fellow Smurf enthusiast — unless we’re locked in a heated eBay war, in which case, you’re going down. Anyway, the Fox series is casting Calvin, a Navy SEAL-turned-photojournalist who’ll be another possible love interest for Abbie. (Hawley haters, commence celebration.) Calvin’s a hometown boy who believes he has a moral obligation to report the truth, no matter what. BONUS SCOOP: The show also will soon bring on founding father Thomas Jefferson, who is described as charismatic and intelligent.

I loved the episode too especially for all the Ichabod and Abbie scenes and the very reasons you stated! I hope it's not Frank that's sacrificed. If you read the article that I just posted, it's not going to be Katrina that goes dang it!!!! I was really hoping she'd be one of the ones to bite the dust!!! The writers are telling us to hang in there and that they read what the fans are saying, but obviously it's not clicking for them! We say we don't like her and yet they're planning on giving us more!!! If I had stomach her or Henry I can tolerate her better than Henry, but yes please get her some new clothes ASAP! She's probably beginning to smell! I really hope Henry is the one that is sacrificed because I don't think there's anything else they can do with his character. The writer says things are going to change big time after this finale so we'll just have to see what that means exactly. I hope he means change in a good way because the whole Henry/Katrina thing is on my last nerve. Hawley could be the one to go since they're bringing in another new guy. I think it would be a huge mistake on getting rid of Frank when he just re-entered the picture. I think by him not having his soul could have new possibilities for his character, who knows! The new promo looks amazing and I can't wait!!

I do trust they can tell a good story because of S1 And the last couple of episodes were great. I can see a scenario where Henry's gone and that switches the focus for Katrina, giving her back her power. After that it's hard to think what to do with her! They have some interesting ideas, but I don't want it to become a threesome with her joining Abbie & Ichabod in their tasks. Is Hawley a beloved character yet?? If so, then yes, he's first on my list of a good characters to go. The promo does look really good!! Can't wait.

If so, then yes, he's first on my list of a good characters to go. The promo does look really good!! Can't wait. Thanks for saying that! Well someone is definitely going and it says beloved character so it can't be Henry or Katrina because they are NOT beloved or AT ALL! Katrina we knew would stick around to torture us some more and bore us all to tears! They must really want people to dislike his wife. You should read the comments on this one site about her, they're not very kind! Some were speculating that it might be Hawley because the actor that plays him apparently booked a pilot on another show. , but again he's not what I'd call beloved. That title is reserved for the 4 leads which to me is Abbie, Ichabod, Frank and Jenny. Those would be the only ones I'd shed a tear over. The first 2 are safe for sure. I guess we'll just have to wait till Monday to find out!! The suspense is going to kill me!! This spoiler says it will leave off with a surprising twist... What in the world could that be!!! SPOILER:
What’s coming up on Sleepy Hollow? — LilSlim142000
Monday’s midseason finale may not be quite as jaw-dropping as season 1’s last episode, but the hour does feature a very surprising final twist… as well as the departure of a beloved character.

Wah, I was really hoping Hawley had hit beloved status because the one I'm worried about is Jenny. In the episode with their Mother, they portrayed Jenny as making peace with her tragic past. What if that's her arc?? The sisters are so strong together though. So it's Jenny or Frank. I still think the twist will include the beloved death, so someone sacrifices him/herself to kill Henry or Abraham, or if it's Abraham, Ichabod kills him and there's collateral damage. If there's a bigger bad than Moloch, that would be a season ender, I think. Oooh, what if Katrina reveals her real agenda and it's opposed to what Ichabod and Abbie are trying to accomplish? Waiting....waiting.... I just thought of something wednesday: Do you think the goal of the show is to bring together the 4 horseman for a huge showdown at some point? That would make sense and it's Moloch's goal. It's just a matter of how much they allow the witnesses to mess with Moloch's plan, and killing any one of the horseman pretty much ruins the plan, right? I'm wondering about this because what if we're stuck with Henry?

jennifer It's definitely going to be Jenny or Frank! You watch! Here's an advanced preview. Someone who's already seen it and kinda gives us an idea of what's going to happen! He says this "Get your tissues ready because there will be one scene very emotional and heartbreaking." which to me probably has to do with the death of one of the characters. We already know someone is going to die so have your tissues ready! He also had this to say which I hope he means Ichabod will freaking kill Henry this time and realize he can't be saved!!!! - The question of whether Ichabod would be able to kill Henry, the horseman of War, his son, to stop Moloch’s plan has been a recurring one this season. In “The Akeda”, Ichabod will finally make his choice about Henry.
I thought about what you said with all the horsemen. Didn't they show all 4 of them last season at once? I only watched the season all the way through one time and it's been a year so I can't remember exactly. If they killed Henry couldn't someone else take his place? He's not really the body of the horseman. He's just controlling the guy in armor.. Maybe we could get away without having Henry and they could get someone else! OMG! What if they turned Frank into the horseman of war! Could that be possible? I mean if they don't kill him off of course! That would certainly be a game changer and twist we didn't see coming! Here's the article of what we have to look forward to. What do you think? I'm ready for Monday! Bring it on! Sleepy Hollow - The Akeda (Fall Finale) - Advance Preview

I can't remember either wednesday! The article makes the show sound very promising, and I think you're right that it can go on without Henry. A fight between Ichabod & Katrina. - finally. I can't take the suspense about the last scene! This must be some twist.

The EW recap is hilarious about Katrina: "If she fails, Ichabod will take her place; if he, in turn, can't do the job, Katrina will be next. She, obviously, will also fail...." I mean, really, I didn't even hear the line about Katrina's powers waning as the two worlds merged and it didn't matter because she seemed no different. Thanks for posting all the articles wednesday. I was feeling underwhelmed about the Big Twist because I thought Henry only sent Moloch back to Purgatory, not killed him, therefore I was imagining another half-season of Moloch trying to return from the dead. Killing the big bad is much twister and story-changing, although as the articles pointed out, it doesn't mean Henry is good. Even knowing Irving might die it was still a sad moment, thinking about his family and having to watch Abbie lose someone else. We lost one of the good ones, and still have two bothersome characters to deal with (Abraham is more interesting to me). Overall last night was a nail-biter at times, and had too many people standing around talking at other times. Ichabod and the motorcycle was one of his priceless moments. What was it? "Might there be a stable nearby?" Oh Ichabod, look at you wanting a motorcycle after all that. What did you think wednesday?
