SPOILER:
Question: Any cool Crane-Abbie moments coming up on Sleepy Hollow? —Jeff
Ausiello: I haven’t seen the Season 2 premiere yet, but exec producer Mark Goffman promises the Sept. 22 opener contains a “pretty shocking moment in purgatory” between the two, adding, “I don’t think anyone’s going to see it coming.”

SPOILER:
Any scoop at all about the second season of Sleepy Hollow? –Advanteege
When Abbie goes to vote in a November election, Ichabod must take note of the remarkable occasion. “What I like about this moment is it’s special for both of them,” says EP Mark Goffman. “Crane, seeing how our society has gotten to the point where [blacks] can actually vote, and having a point of view about that fact that no one is at the polling station. And also the fact that Abbie can vote. It took two constitutional amendments before Abbie got the right to vote.”

SPOILER:
Question: Has Sleepy Hollow cast the Succubus yet? —Janet
Ausiello: They have! I can exclusively confirm that Caroline Ford (Lake Placid: The Final Chapter) has landed the guest-starring role of Lilith — AKA the Succubus. Official character description, authored by EP Mark Goffman: You may have heard lore about the biblical creature called a Succubus. And as with all creatures on Sleepy Hollow, she comes with our own twist. Ethereal and seductive, Lilith drains her victims’ life force, leaving only desiccated husks behind. She’s drawn to desire, and hidden desires burn brightest, so she will reveal many secrets in her path of exotic destruction. Things in Sleepy Hollow are about to get sexy as—you know… hell.

Sleepy Hollow (Fox) Premieres: Monday, Sept. 22 at 9/8c
Where We Left Off: Henry was revealed to not only be War of the Four Horsemen, but also the son of Ichabod and Katrina, whom he buried alive and handed over to Death, respectively. Meanwhile, Abbie was left in purgatory, Jenny was in a major car accident caused by Headless, and Irving took the fall for his daughter killing a priest.
What's Next: With Irving interred at Tarry Town psychiatric — where he'll be battling crazy ghosts and leading a rebellion — Abbie and Ichabod will be forced to fight War on their own. But they will find a new ally in a bounty hunter (Matt Barr), though the new Sheriff (Sakina Jaffrey) may not be on their side. While Jeremy inserts himself in Sleepy Hollow as a lawyer in order to wage psychological war, the team will build a new monster named Kindred using Headless' head. Speaking of monsters, we'll also see new twists on the Pied Piper, a wendigo and a succubus. Meanwhile, we'll learn much more about Abbie and Jenny's family this year, though "there may be a male who might get in the middle of" their friendship this season, according to executive producer Heather Kadin.

Fall TV Spoilers:
SLEEPY HOLLOW
First things first: How the heck will Ichabod get un-buried and Abbie escape Purgatory — especially now that Henry (aka Jeremy aka the Horseman of War) is galloping around unfettered? "Look, Crane is brilliant," says EP Mark Goffman. "He's a very resourceful man and he uses that to his advantage – even six feet underground." Lt. Mills, however, might have a tougher time returning from the hell realm, especially after Moloch engages in "more trickery… that's going to be pretty mind-blowing for her." Mrs. Crane, meanwhile, will use her expertise as a witch and a spy to deal with her headless former beau, who's still holding her captive. Back at the precinct, Capt. Irving's replacement, Lena Reyes (Sakina Jaffrey, House of Cards), will evoke very different responses in the Mills sisters… if they survive their end-of-Season 1 travails. "Both Jenny and Abbie have different recollections of Reyes" — who was acquainted with their mother — "and what she did to their family," he says. Other newbies include Nick Hawley (Hellcats' Matt Barr), a bounty hunter with eyes for Abbie, and Benjamin Franklin (thirtysomething's Timothy Busfield), who mentors Crane and eschews clothing — sometimes simultaneously. "We'll see him early and often and, well, quite a bit, as he's scantily clad," Goffman adds, laughing.
BONUS SPOILER | Capt. Irving "does not stay in prison very long," Goffman teases, but "That doesn't mean that he's a free man."

Sleepy Hollow - Episode 2.01 - This Is War - Extended Synopsis
Episode 2.01 - This Is War (22-Sep-2014) In Sleepy Hollow, it would seem as though the status quo has been restored, but things in the formerly quaint town are never truly as they appear. Even now, how Crane managed to escape being betrayed and buried alive by his son, Jeremy (aka Henry Parish, aka the newly minted Horseman of War), or how Abbie freed herself from Purgatory, remains a mystery... even to them. What appears certain however is that while both Katrina and Jenny have apparently been lost, the Two Witnesses have not abandoned their quest to fight tirelessly against Moloch and his minions. Meanwhile, Moloch’s malevolent forces use all the powers at their disposal in an attempt to locate a key - once belonging to Founding Father Benjamin Franklin - which is capable of unlocking the gates of Purgatory. After using his unique skills on an unanticipated prisoner, Sin-Eater Henry Parish discovers a clue which points him in the direction of the valuable artifact, but Crane is intent on finding it first. While in Purgatory, Moloch works to raise a demonic army in preparation for his invasion, but those who would prevent the hoard’s advent get help from an unexpected source. Meanwhile, we learn that Jenny and Katrina are both still alive, though each is being held prisoner for vastly different reasons, and Crane takes the inadvisable action of re-entering Purgatory in order to fulfill a promise.

SPOILERS:
Question: I love Sleepy Hollow‘s Katrina – please tell me she’s in the real world longer than just one episode. —Erin
Ausiello: Well, she’s around long enough to engage in some retail therapy, says executive producer Mark Goffman. “I would say she doesn’t cling to her wardrobe the way that Crane does,” he teases, adding that when Mrs. Crane hits the mall, her style is “pretty edgy.” So… no Revolutionary War re-enactor costumes? “She’s a much cooler dresser in a way of mixing and matching the modern era with her own.”
Question: If and when we meet Crane’s mother on Sleepy Hollow, will Victor Garber return as his dad? —Dave
Ausiello: “There’s no doubt that we will learn a lot more about Crane’s mother, potentially in the second half” of the upcoming second season, Goffman tells TVLine, going on to say that Garber – who’s already filmed at least one Season 2 episode – would be very welcome to make another visit. “He’s unbelievable. We loved having him on the show last year and are excited to have him back.”

SPOILER:
What sort of monsters will Abbie and Ichabod face when Sleepy Hollow returns? — Andre
Remember how Judas was paid in silver to betray Jesus? What happens when someone in Sleepy Hollow literally gets their hands on the same silver? "It brings out people's darker sides and inclinations," Nicole Beharie said of the coin, which was also once owned by Benedict Arnold. "That's a lot scarier ... than a monster that might cut off your head because... if it's someone you love [who has the coin] what do you do? You don't want to kill them."

SPOILERS:
Question: Some Sleepy Hollow scoop, please? —Becca
Ausiello: Next week’s hour spotlights money that has really bad mojo. “There’s a coin that Henry puts into circulation around Sleepy Hollow that starts turning people against the ones that they love and they start killing each other, as well,” Tom Mison tells TVLine, adding that the cash has ties to at least two other severely bad moments in human history. Oh, and the Mills sisters will fall under its evil spell.
Question: Anything Ichabod-related from Sleepy Hollow would be more than welcome, thanks. —Jane
Ausiello: Ichabod’s finally learning how to drive! In an upcoming episode, “We see Ichabod and Abbie swap seats,” says Mison, who recently got his own first driver’s license and admits that his lack of experience was evident during production. At one point, the show’s stunt coordinator hopped in the passenger’s seat to talk Mison through a sequence where he was the only person in the shot. “I made one of the leading stunt coordinators on the East Coast whimper,” the actor reports, laughing.
