Maybe I got it wrong but ... Elena's dad is dead for some years already and this roommate was a freshman. So why was she at the campus 3 years ago? Well we don't know it's on campus do we? It looks like its at a park? I guess we will have to wait and see. |

Elena is once again faking smiles and dealing with death and its breaking my heart this girl deserves happiness. I wish she'd stop losing the people she most cares about cause I don't know how much more Elena can take. Elena is the master of facades she knows how to put on a mask better than anyone. I think she believes if she can smile she will be okay and while I admire that I wish she'd let it out rather than bottle it in. |

Well she is destined to have a difficult life because she is drawn to vampires. She will always have a dangerous life and unfortunately people will die. She I hope will grow into herself more soon

She knows what Damon is going to do..cause nothing has told her otherwise. She knows she's not getting Bonnie back. And you can see her blaming herself..."if i had just stayed put....if i hadn't left the house....if i hadn't called stefan...none of this would have happened and bonnie would be alive." But it's not in Elena's nature to stay put and to not care so she did go to Stefan and her actions had their consequences. So while she isn't mad at Damon for what he's going to do she's mad at herself or at least upset.
And I hope we see more of this continued. I wonder how its going to change what she does from now on. She says she isn't giving up on Bonnie and that theyll find a way. So is she now going to be smarter than her opponents or is she going to continue falling into traps? |

Anna as much as I loved Elena this episode especially compared to the last. I am not sure I would call what you explained character growth or an example of an adult relationship. but that is probably for another thread.... I did like that Elena is finally realizing and verbalizing the type of relationship she is in with Damon and of course I loved that she was able to see Stefan still being Stefan even without his memories. I loved that she recognized at Stefan's core he is a good person.

I must say that the series is not moving forward at all   . Its the fifth season already for gods sake. Katherine is still alive and bugging everyone (plus the new found daughter), now Stefan is back in the game with Elena/ Katherine when Damon and her hadn't been dating that long yet. Two pointless characters: Katherine (plus daughter) and Klaus. There is no appeal anymore, just annoyance.  Bloody accident for both, bloody/ sexy sex etc weird stuff for Damon (whose now fueled with vampire blood... , might get interesting)  and weird dominatrix stuff for now ex couple Caroline & Taylor/ and smoochy smooch/ slash "dead people in our bed doing the nasty" for Bonnie & Jeremy. They should definitely take the relationships deeper before changing partners.
