Synopsis: Ninety-seven years ago, nuclear Armageddon decimated planet Earth, destroying civilization. The only survivors were the 400 inhabitants of 12 international space stations that were in orbit at the time. Three generations have been born in space, the survivors now number 4,000, and resources are running out on their dying “Ark” – the 12 stations now linked together and repurposed to keep the survivors alive. Draconian measures including capital punishment and population control are the order of the day, as the leaders of the Ark take ruthless steps to ensure their future, including secretly exiling a group of 100 juvenile prisoners to the Earth’s surface to test whether it’s habitable. For the first time in nearly a century, humans have returned to planet Earth. Among the 100 exiles are Clarke, the bright teenage daughter of the Ark’s chief medical officer; Wells, son of the Ark’s Chancellor; the daredevil Finn; and the brother/sister duo Bellamy and Octavia, whose illegal sibling status has always led them to flaunt the rules. Technologically blind to what’s happening on the planet below them, the Ark’s leaders — Clarke’s widowed mother, Abby; the Chancellor, Jaha; and his shadowy second in command, Kane — are faced with difficult decisions about life, death and the continued existence of the human race. For the 100 young people on Earth, however, the alien planet they’ve never known is a mysterious realm that can be magical one moment and lethal the next. With the survival of the human race entirely in their hands, THE 100 must find a way to transcend their differences, unite and forge a new path ona wildly changed Earth that’s primitive, intense and teeming with the unknown. The series stars Eliza Taylor (newcomer) as Clarke, Paige Turco (“Person of Interest,” “Damages”) as Abby, Thomas McDonell (“Suburgatory”) as Finn, Eli Goree (“Emily Owens, M.D.”) as Wells, Marie Avgeropoulos (“50/50″) as Octavia, Bob Morley (newcomer) as Bellamy, Kelly Hu (“X2: X-Men United,”“Arrow”) as Cece, Christopher Larkin (“Squad 85″) as Monty, Devon Bostick (“Aim High”) as Jasper, with Isaiah Washington (upcoming “Blue Caprice,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) as Chancellor Jaha, and Henry Ian Cusick (“Lost,” “Scandal”) as Kane. Based on the upcoming book series by Kass Morgan, THE 100 is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studioswith executive producers Matthew Miller (“Human Target,” “Chuck”), Jason Rothenberg (upcoming “Twilight Zone” feature), Bharat Nalluri (“Torchwood,” “Emily Owens, M.D.”), Leslie Morgenstein (“The Vampire Diaries”) and Gina Girolamo (“The Secret Circle”). The pilot was directed by Bharat Nalluri.

SEASON TWO DESCRIPTION
WEDNESDAY
9:00-10:00 P.M. “THE 100”
Season one of THE 100 saw the human race return, after a 97-year exile in space, to a wildly transformed Earth...only to discover that the human race had never truly left. Clarke (Eliza Taylor) found herself forced to lead a band of disposable juvenile delinquents as they faced death at every turn – from a world transformed by radiation, from the fierce Grounders who somehow managed to survive in it, and, perhaps worst of all, from themselves. Alternately challenged and supported by rival leader Bellamy (Bob Morley), the two found common purpose: Survival. Through it all, Finn (Thomas McDonell) was helplessly drawn to Clarke, destroying his long-standing relationship with the brilliant young mechanic, Raven (Lindsey Morgan). Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) got close to a possible enemy Grounder, Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) -- some say too close. Meanwhile, as The 100 fought for their lives on the ground, The Ark's situation was no better. Though Abby (Paige Turco) believed that The 100 were still alive, she didn’t have proof and couldn’t stop Kane’s (Henry Ian Cusick) population reduction. The killing of 320 volunteers and the subsequent realization that it was in error broke Kane and enflamed a revolution on the Ark that Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington), despite his best efforts, was powerless to stop. Both on the ground and in space, the final episodes will reveal the true desperation of their plight, as our heroes risked everything just to stay alive. Noble sacrifices and heartbreaking choices changed everyone forever and left them scattered to the wind. The epic second chapter picks up with the newly returned human race desperate to be reunited. Season two’s quest will challenge them beyond anything they have faced before. Hearts will be broken. Lives will be lost. Heroes will be born.
Based on the book series by Kass Morgan, THE 100 is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Jason Rothenberg (upcoming “Twilight Zone” feature), Leslie Morgenstein (“The Vampire Diaries”) and Gina Girolamo (“The Lying Game”).

To bump this, watched all of S1 on Netflix, surprised it was one of CW's short season shows (13 episodes).
Anyways, it's like an episode by episode blow of humanity screwing up at every turn or resorting to violence. We near wiped each other out almost a century ago and still go at it. Ark is rough cause crime is treated as a capital offense and you can be airlocked for it (this show's terms of 'float' and 'grounder' just sound awful). And you get locked up till you're 18 if you're underage.
So they send 100 kids to the planet to see if it's safe again and sadly, these kids have to deal with establishing a society and even some diplomacy. They fail on all fronts. That's mostly due to the crowd being so fickle on what they want. They jump from bloodthirsty to 'Eh, let's do the right thing' and a lot of the time, this happens to be swayed by either Bellami or Clarke. At some point in the series, I was disappointed in everyone's actions at one point or another. I don't want to say it's a whole bunch of stupidity but at the same time...eh.
Looking forward to S2 however.

The guy went nuts because he was so worried about her After the last episode, I was just, why does every CW show has to have a love triangle? The clarke/bellamy scene was nice and I know many people really like bellamy and clarke, but I think she's better with Finn. But, I refuse to ship another CW couple, for obvious reasons... 1st SE, 2nd Mary/Bash (Reign)... If I start shipping Finn/Clarke, they'll end up being apart too so, no thanks
