shoe20 What a great extravaganza it was, Milady..... You giffed all the scenes I like the most in the episode.
No problem!! There were so any great moments between everyone it was really hard to narrow it down!! One of the best episodes by far! I'm in that boat, for me it was the best ep of the season......I am curious about the ledge scene too.... I told kiki when we were chatting the building climb was great (in boots too) To tell you the truth I think he may have done the window fall stunt himself. The looks he shoots Anne are unmistakeable, and she beams when ever he's around.... I just don't see their big secret staying hidden much longer...
I'm really hoping they have a bts video for that scene!!!!He certainly looked like he was up there! It is so hard for them doing scenes like that in the boots. In fact they all said running in the boots all over the place is one of the toughest things to do more so than fighting and riding the horses! You might be right about him doing that stunt and ledge scene because they did have him hanging from the window in the pilot! I have a shot of him wearing a wire for it. Poor Santiago! I feel for him because he's afraid of heights! I can relate!! I want Porthos to find out about Anne and Aramis so Aramis doesn't have to carry such a heavy secret and it will help take some of the pressure off of Athos! I've actually done some climbing (I too was scared of height's) no better way to get over it. The boots was what blew me away.... I climbed in these cute little sticky rubber tennies.... they gave ya grip on anything.....boots, no way.... Heights are Ok when you trust your safe, and that only comes from doing it. Of course they wouldn't let him "free climb" the bulding...... Just like the water stunt in 201... backup on backup....they want to thrill us not impress us with a body count equivalent to the "Red Guard" When I watch it again I'm gona keep count of the "Red Guard" corpses. ) I like the way TPTB finished last season with the boys riding away together..... and started this one with them riding back together..... It's nice not to have some giant cliffhanger to fret about... It's a real shame we didn't start this thread with the pilot.
I'm glad they didn't either. That would've been agony! I hope we're not left with one this season!!! I love it when they're all riding in together too!!! You let me know when y'all want to have discussions for the other episodes because I'm totally down for it!!! I have tons of gifs for all the episodes that I'm more than happy to post!!! Who am I kidding! You'll get to see them whether we have episode discussions or not!!! They're not JP.... They trying to entertain not rip our guts out. Don't you worry as soon as this season's over we'll do the series from 101.... Kinda a retrospect, and I'm dissapointed I didn't get to comment on each episode..... It's a done deal. Here's your shot of them riding off!! I'm glad your warming up to Milady.
Well she got a few brownie points in this episode, but I still don't really trust her. She really did it for self preservation. Now that Louis has thrown her out of the palace I wonder what she'll do to survive. I read the advanced preview as I'm sure you did and it doesn't sound very good. She turns Athos's offer for help away probably because of her pride. I can't imagine her going to Rochefort for help!!! He's a nightmare and I wouldn't want to owe him a thing!!! Look at what he's going to try to do to Marguerite. The others were talking and don't think she will make it through the end of the season which is fine by me. I don't care for her. She's going to try to have a talk with Aramis about how he feels!!! Seriously! I don't think he can get more blunt than he was in this episode!!! Did he break off their affair before this episode or were they suppose to still be involved? I'm still wondering if Anne really knew that something was going on between them. How could she not if he was seeing her at the palace because Rochefort knew about it. Marguerite threw herself at Aramis when she saw that he was alive. Anne tried not to show emotion, but I'm sure it hurt her. At that moment I don't think she cared too much because he was there and they had a moment to be together with their son. Of course she's still working for self preservation.... the only promise she can keep right now is to her self....That's gona change, this is only the start.... I really believe if Milady and Athos work through their problems (and their huge) they could be the strongest couple in the series.. .(strongest, not cutest) I think they have a real shot...Maybe Louis has the hots for Rochefort..... he does have a crown and knows where Anne keep her dresses
Right now I wouldn't put it past him the way he threw himself at Rochefort when he thought he was his hero!!! Milday was too much woman for him!!! That was just sick to watch!! I don't blame Athos either, I'd want to go back to the garrison too! Milady was just passing time.... she is way too much woman for the manchild...geeze my dog is. LOLOk Kiki what is this about you having a thing about the "beak boys?" They were freaking creepy weren't they!!! Kiki and I were busting on the beaky boys.... she said the boys were having a birdhunt. lol Those masks were real distracting though, weren't they. Trying something new.... what cha think, ya'all ....too busy or just right? Kinda a me.... you ... me... thing. hahaha I cheated on ya today and posted on Spoiler.... hey, you left me alone for the virgin.... later BB

jenniferAthos was barely on this ep. but he got two of the funniest lines, telling Aramis to come back after taking Anne to safety and then comparing Porthos to a wounded bull The scenes he had were important to the story.... Talking to Treville about him moving on... and his interactions with Milady bordered on affection....The look he shot her when he gave her a "leg up" on the horse.... the "You'll be safe here"... and telling her she had his respect.
I agree with shoe20 all of his scenes were very important to his story and actually stood out to me more so than some of the others and he did have some of the best lines to a very dark episode. I loved it when he told Aramis to come back too because he knows him so well. I really love the different relationships that Aramis has with both Athos and Porthos. I think Athos keeps him in check and tries to keep him grounded. I loved all their scenes together in S1 and really hope we get more of that in the next season. I'll be posting a bunch of gifs soon on all their scenes together. I love the more light hearted moments. Oh, and Milady. I thought for a minute she was on Marmion's side until it was clear she really did get help, so kudos to her even if it was selfish. Yep, seeing more than guilt in Athos' face these days
That's the thing about her, you never know who's side she's going to be on! I guess it's whoever can give her what she wants at the moment and whatever serves her best interest. She is a survivor that's for sure and for someone in her position you kinda have to be. Like I said above to @shoe it's going to be interesting to see where she goes from here. I do hope Louis learned something from Marmion even if the guy went about it in a such a violent way, but from the sound of his whining to Anne, it's still all about Louis.
I don't think Louis is ever going to learn his lesson. He certainly didn't after he was kidnapped in EP2 or here!! After everything D'artagnan has done and layed his life on the line to protect him he's the one that gets blamed for putting his life in danger when it's all of Louis's own making!!!! I hope his treatment of the Musketeers comes back to bite him in the butt when he learns the truth of Rochefort and his true colors are shown! I almost laughed when Louis was saying that the people that are after him are around every corner!!! You asked why Rochefort is so stuck on Anne when they've barely seen each other wednesday; were you including the time period where he tutored Anne when she first came to France? My impression is he fell in love with her (or whatever it is!) at that time.
Yes he fell in love with her back then and she was nice to him, but she's done nothing now to prove or let him believe that she cares for him other than a friend. Other than the time she thought the baby was kidnapped they've barely spent any time together or at least from what we've seen. Has your opinion changed a little bit toward Anne after this episode? It just made me ship them even more! I just don't see how they're going to have a happy ending though! So no one thinks Louis can change. He's becoming so farcical my hope is they're making him completely ridiculous before turning him a bit, like after he finds out Rochefort betrayed him and that makes him not a great judge of character. It's true that he hasn't changed yet though, even after several events that could've had an impact on him. Anne....My resistance to shipping them is pretty much what you said, no happy ending. More than that, Anne always has the power whether she wields it or not. Aramis will get the short end of the stick because she can't leave her situation. Aramis can never lay claim to Henry without hurting Anne. Anne can't leave her station in life even for true love (like Constance can at least try to do). Aramis protecting Anne and his son is what he can offer and she can accept, and even that has a limit depending on who's around watching. One caveat: I'm reading the book and Constance helps Anne arrange clandestine ways to meet up with her love (not Aramis in the book), so maybe that's a future story? It still feels a little sad for Aramis, but then he knows he can't marry Anne and raise their son together. Eyes wide open.

I can't tell if there's a debate going about whether Aramis did his own stunts. My two cents is he did, esp. when we got to see there was a ledge below that probably held a padded mat, and they could harness him on the wall then air brush the lines out. Any official word? If it were Luke, I'd definitely say he did it after watching those training videos. He was gung ho. Santiago looks equally athletic.

Concinses is he did do all of the ledge climbing on the building...He did have a harness and safety ropes...I read confirmation on another page.......The question I've posed is did he do the fall out the window, and I'm almost sure he did..... still looking for a bts video.... I hope we get one I know Santi is athletic, but it's well known he doesn't like heights... so I like the zip line stunt in 201 alot too.....d'Art was funny freeing de Foix chair.

shoe20 Of course they wouldn't let him "free climb" the building...... Just like the water stunt in 201... backup on backup....they want to thrill us not impress us with a body count equivalent to the "Red Guard" When I watch it again I'm gonna keep count of the "Red Guard" corpses.
I know they wouldn't let him free climb!!! They better have him strapped in like a baby in a car seat! We should've been keeping count of them! It's like they have a never ending supply right! Why would anyone want to be red guard when they have the life expectancy of a butterfly! I'd go with the Musketeers in a heartbeat especially if I know that I've got those 4 and Treville watching my back! You have a better chance coming back alive! They are like cats! Nine lives I'm telling you! jennifer I can't tell if there's a debate going about whether Aramis did his own stunts. No never a debate, always lively discussions! I think y'all are right and he did do them, but bless his heart since he's so afraid of heights, but looks can be very deceiving just like they were when they did the zip line! That was an awesome scene and they totally looked like they were dangling in the air! I'm sure he did have a crash mat and probably green screen, but I'm still holding out that they will give us a video!!! Luke is definitely a little risk taker that's for sure! He did have a harness and safety ropes...I read confirmation on another page.......The question I've posed is did he do the fall out the window.
Is it from the spoiler girls? Sandi does seem to have background info especially since she gets to see the episodes in advance and she posts with one of the producers or the costume designer? I forget which one it is, I just know her name is Jessica Pope. Where did you get that Australian spoiler! Don't you worry as soon as this season's over we'll do the series from 101.... Kinda a retrospect, and I'm dissapointed I didn't get to comment on each episode..... It's a done deal.I'm looking forward to it! I was sad we didn't get to do it from the beginning either! There's a lot of fun stuff to talk about plus I have gifs for days of all the best scenes from each episode! Are you down with that jennifer? Of course she's still working for self preservation.... the only promise she can keep right now is to her self....That's gonna change, this is only the start.... I really believe if Milady and Athos work through their problems (and they're huge) they could be the strongest couple in the series...(strongest, not cutest) I think they have a real shot..
I don't know if that's possible though. They do have HUGE issues!!! Athos doesn't know half the things she's done and probably doesn't want to. He'd have to arrest her for multiple murders! I wonder how many she has killed! The number is probably staggering! I think they may be able to work together in some cases, but to be together again, I have serious reservations! He could never truly trust her and with good reason. Kiki said the boys were having a birdhunt. lol Those masks were real distracting though, weren't they.
They were very distracting and creepy! It's a wonder those poor guys could breath under there! He's becoming so farcical my hope is they're making him completely ridiculous before turning him a bit, like after he finds out Rochefort betrayed him and that makes him not a great judge of character. It's true that he hasn't changed yet though, even after several events that could've had an impact on him.
They need to do something with him because he is becoming the biggest joke on the show! Maybe after what happens with Anne in the final episodes will give him a wake-up call! I mean he's going to have to wonder what happened to Rochefort's eye!!! I just hope he believes the Musketeers this time, but that probably won't happen unless he witnesses it first hand because he's so stupid!! Anne....My resistance to shipping them is pretty much what you said, no happy ending. More than that, Anne always has the power whether she wields it or not. Aramis will get the short end of the stick because she can't leave her situation. Aramis can never lay claim to Henry without hurting Anne. It still feels a little sad for Aramis, but then he knows he can't marry Anne and raise their son together. Eyes wide open. You're finally reading the book!! I thought you couldn't get into it? Third times a charm? The baby's name is Henry? They never say his name. They only refer to him as the dauphin. When I see that I always think they're calling him a dolphin! Who was Anne having an affair with? I don't know how they're going to work this out with those two!!! They've really gotten them between a rock and a hard place! They both love each other, but can't really be together but he can't really put his life on hold for her either. It sucks to be her too being in a loveless marriage to a man child!!! Even if they really re-wrote history and killed Louis she still couldn't be with Aramis because he's a Musketeer, but they could have a life long affair if they were really careful! But realistically I don't know how long that secret would last in that palace! I just hope we get a few more seasons out of the show to explore their stories and hopefully they will get happy endings. From what I know 2 of them most definitely do not so I want there to be some serious changes!! I cheated on ya today and posted on Spoiler.... hey, you left me alone for the virgin.... later BB
I saw that! I can't help it! It's addictive! It's neethi's fault! I would say I blame her, but I actually thank her! It's my new guilty pleasure!

LOL, let's hope third time's the charm with the book wednesday. I'm stuck about halfway through at the moment. In the book, Anne is having an affair with an English Duke at least for the moment. Let you know if she and Aramis get together when I finish (I WILL finish this time ). Back to the show, I must've imagined the baby is Henry. I looked it up on wiki and he's listed only as "future Louis XIV." Nice, right?!? What do you mean saying "2 of them most definitely do not [get a happy ending] - two musketeers, characters? I'm very curious how they'll deal with Aramis and Anne too, given all the constraints on both sides. Hope you get what you want.

The Astroglobe - The Musketeers: Series 2 EP6
As fascinating as this is I was really hoping we'd get the video of Santiago's stunts!!! Hopefully they'll put that one out! They usually do when they are big stunts like that.

shoe20 I saw the pics yesterday but could only find thumbnails..... They spoil a lot, don't they? I do think Bonacieux is dead and Constance killed him for attacking her.....
They really do spoil! I don't mind though! I'm addicted and can't wait for the slightest info for the next episode! They only put out a few pics for the last batch of episodes because they don't want to spoil too much, but they gave us enough to send us into a tizzy! If Bonacieux does die I don't think it would be till episode 9 or 10 because we don't see Constance in jail till then. They could have a mass slaughter and take out Rochefort, Marguerite, Bonacieux and Louis!!! We'd be left with only the Musketeers and the ladies!! I could live with that! Marguarite, gets the cross and Rochefort confronts Anne with it..... he tries to force himself on her and she stabs his eye out with it...... I think the scene with Athos, Porthos, and d'Artangnan blocking Rochefort's escape with Aramis coming up behind is the death scene we've been waiting for..... I'm getting "Snoopy" ready to dance. lol
I still don't see how she's going to get it off of him willingly. I can't see him just giving it to her and I don't see him sleeping with her after last week either. I think she might have to knock him out! A lot is going to go down in 9 and 10!!! Rochefort attacking Anne and Bonacieux probably dying! I think Rochefort will probably kill Marguerite before it's all over with because of the remark Marc Warren made in that interview which I think is pretty sick. "I’m quite menacing and overtly sexual with Lady Marguerite, the Dauphin’s governess." I didn't see anything in there about Louise like you mentioned earlier. Constance and Anne are behind Aramis in that last picture and Rochefort has blood on his knife. I wonder if he killed Marguerite? She could've been trying to protect Anne and the baby? jennifer LOL, let's hope third time's the charm with the book wednesday. I'm stuck about halfway through at the moment. In the book, Anne is having an affair with an English Duke at least for the moment. Let you know if she and Aramis get together when I finish (I WILL finish this time ). I guess the show really inspired you to finish it this time. Are there huge differences in the show? I haven't read the book, but I read wikipedia so I do know a few things that happen which I'm not going to spoil for you so I will Hopefully they do make some big changes from the book. In The Man with the Iron Mask, D'artagnan was Louis and Philippe's father so they get creative! Anne and Louis have another son obviously, but I don't really see Anne sleeping with him again do you? Aramis would certainly be willing! That would really change history!!! Where did you get the name Henry?
