I liked the episode alot, 4/5 points, I have to rewatch though to write down my thoughts! One thing ... if they give Jer one scene per episode, it was the best choice Steven R McQueen did, to leave the show...one lousy scene!!! Like Ty and Matt scenes though. Enzo is ...I can hardly find words for him, other than i would like to give him a dose of misery every day throughout hos wretched life --> Enzo = Pain in the a** villain this season. Whereas Kai = convincing villain, that actor kicks it!!! SUPER!!! Every time Kai appears on screen I am on the edge of my seat! BUT I am not saying that Michael Malarkey is doing a bad job...on the contrary!!! He is a very good actor, but Enzo, is arrrgggghhhh!!!! Caro seems to be getting back on the rails again...good! Elena...no comment. Stefan made alot more sense in this episode, good for him!!! Thumbs up! Damn it...Damon, I am beginning to like you, like really like you...oh crap!!! Scratch my head while I am writing Sheriff Liz and her situation make me sad...but the ending scene was really good, I like parallel montaging. More later!!!! Cheers

I loved Paul's acting in this episode. Stefan seemed so happy... well not happy with all the things going on but... he smiled and he was just so human... I loved that. Everything Delena just doesn't work for me so I won't comment. I loved Kai and Elena's storyline. I love to hate Kai. He's the one I hate most out of all villains we had. It's just his character... I want to scratch his eyes out all the time. He's so annoying and I enjoy hating him ... weired I know but I hope he stays a little longer I never really cared about Tyler but the storyline he has with Liv really starts to change that. They are cute together. I'm kind of over Enzo. He came to the show as a possibly good villain but now his motives make no sense at all. Why does he hate Stefan so much? Just because he thinks Stefan wasn't a good brother to Damon? Why does Enzo think this if Damon loves his brother and has no evil thoughts about Stefan at the moment? And why is it Enzo's business at all? If he thinks he has a right to judge Stefan because he is Damons good friend why don't we see him being Damon's friend? They have no contact at all. I'd like to see Damon's reaction if he finds out what Enzo is doing to Stefan. Elena was kidnapped and nobody even cared to tell Stefan or Caroline. So much for beeing friends. Although everyone is complaining about the vampireblood cannot heal cancer thing. I think it makes sense. The blood might be able to heal the damage the cancer does but it will only result in cancer doing more damage and once the blood is out of the patient's system everything gets worse again. It's a little far taken but I can live with it. There have been worse plotholes.

What did I like... hmmm. Um, I liked the camera opening up on Damon's sleeping face, his one funny line, and the scene in Liz's hospital room. I don't know why he was playing around with the red rose, director's choice, I guess ;)
I liked that Jeremy brought down Kai. Good for him.
Paul did a good job but the script for this episode was unfortunately extremely weak.
What I didn't like:
The whole scene with the other terminal cancer victim and the impact of vampire blood visually recalled poor old Jesse from last season. Sorry -- it still makes no sense that the magic of vampire blood wouldn't have any impact on a non-magic illness. The logic fail makes it impossible to suspend disbelief. I guess the huge hemorrhagic purge is required to eliminate the possibility that there is any vampire blood left when the guy passes on so he can't come back as a vampire?
Elena encouraging Damon to rummage around in her guts -- as a joke? Now she's Enzo?
Enzo is just tiresome.
The symbolism of the ring melting away as the last vestige of Stelena. BOO.

Yup...so much this. I was bored this entire episode, but I did finish my laundry during so there is that. Enzo's storyline is just wha? I keep thinking, "you got rid of Lexi, but brought back Enzo...for THIS?" and then what, have him fall for Sarah's character? *yawn* I just don't care. Please tell me this Sarah Salvatore storyline is going to carry some weight at some point down the line. Wacky crazy vampire blood mythology...I can't even. Plus I'm kinda pissed they even decided to go ahead with trying to heal Liz with the vamp blood because if she was going to die, I wanted it to be a total human death with zero supernatural mojo involved to keep her character and the humanity of this show firmly rooted and untainted as a great juxtaposition to the supernatural...but now the vampire blood speeds up the death process...ugh, really? These writers can't even get a cancer story right. I feel like the writers have truly boxed themselves in with all of their characters because of how death has been treated over the seasons. Its meaningless. Every character has died at least once that there is no gravity to any scene in which a lead character is in danger. Elena being held by Kai...so what? There is no sense of drama or risk at this point, further accentuated by the fact that Elena jokingly let Damon rummage through her guts for a wood splinter. WTF. I also miss Damon with an edge, moony-eyed Damon is a neutered character which makes him now guilty of being the boring character that people used to claim Stefan being. This show needs an angry and changed Bonnie back and quick. Her scenes with Damon have been the most compelling this season, she challenges him in a way no other character can. And any scene with Kai, Chris Wood is killing it with that character. He was the bright spot of this episode, it is just unfortunate that everything around him is a borefest. I am missing Damon and Bonnie being trapped in prisonworld with Kai. those moments had a dramatic weight to it. Hey Jeremy got to use his crossbow! Too bad he couldn't have fired an arrow into Damon for laughs ("looks like I can still shoot this thing" "you missed" "did I?") I mean...Jer deserves to get a few licks in to Damon before he leaves, right? Also...who knew Liv was packing such heat under her tshirts.

I mean...Jer deserves to get a few licks in to Damon before he leaves, right? Also...who knew Liv was packing such heat under her tshirts. Enzo is Damon's alternate personality. Or at least he should have been. What's missing from TVD -- and what has been missing from TVD -- is the core conflict between Damon and Stefan. Ever since Stefan accepted the relationship between Elena and Damon, there has been no motivating conflict, or even any dramatic purpose, for the series. Enzo should have been an imaginary character, the product of a core psychological split that emerged during the five years Damon was held and tortured by Augustine. All these scenes Stefan and Enzo are having right now should be scenes between Damon and Stefan. By the same measure is the "problem" with Delena. At some point several years ago, they erased the conflict between Damon and Stefan over Delena. So in my opinion Delena has absolutely no frisson. I guess the set up between Stefan and Enzo is a fail safe in case Ian Somerhalder leaves the show? Enzo is a character that was saved by the actor's charm -- like Ric, except Ric also addresses the issue of absent parents. Secondly, I find it interesting that Paul Wesley shied away from Stefan doing a scene in his underwear but didn't stop from letting that young lady perform a scene in her bra. Fair is fair, people. There was no reason why Stefan wouldn't have gone downstairs in his own house in an undershirt.

Yeah! this is about the crux of my issue here. I rarely post anymore, because this is the kind of entertainment that amuses the majority here. I get the satirical element, I do, but it is beyond repetitive, to the point that it is beating a dead horse. It was amusing the first time, slightly comical the second, but as time goes on it becomes boring and tasteless. To each there own I suppose.

I forgot to add, a complete rip off of Price Peterson, who for the most part is a dick, but at least he is talented and funny.

Im a bit confused as to why a sarcastic meant to be funny (to those who find it funny) recap makes you judge "the majority" of the members here. People who choose to click on the link can see it and people who dont, do not. I was wondering the other day where you have been bc I hadnt seen you on the site but I guess I know the reason why. Actually, many people enjoy these recaps more than they enjoy the show, right now... If you want to share some recaps that make Damon look good and Stefan look bad, feel free to do it. I won't read it, because I know I won't like it, but I won't say it's boring or tasteless... Fortunately, people can see things differently, enjoy characters diferently and disagree about things. What you really won't achieve here is to get everyone to agree with your opinions, I'm sorry about that.

I enjoy the recaps from both sources. Yes, 95% of any week's recap could be very stupid. However, there is always one that cracks me up. This time it is the exchanges about Stefan and Matt. I laughed out loud -- Not Matt? And then later Stefan's tears. LOL.
