Have you seen The Flash premiere yet? If so, how is it?? –JanelleI got around to it the other day, and by and large it is quite satisfying. You will (eventually) see exactly how the “singularity” was dealt with, and why that seeming victory has, sadly, splintered Team Flash in multiple directions. A highly entertaining bromance gets a big boost, one could argue that the foundation for Caitlin’s fated alter ego is laid, and there is a montage toward the end that is simply wonderful and loaded with heart. All that said, I’d be lying if I didn’t acknowledge a major “What the heck?” moment in the penultimate scene, a zag that actually had me yelling, “What the heck?” (or saltier words to that effect) at my laptop screen. tvline.com/2015/09/25/once-upon-a-time-mulan-ruby-spoilers/#more-644762

I was a little underwhelmed with the season opener, especially comparing it to AoS (watch that show, people!) which I watched directly after. While I was so thrilled with Professor Wells confessing to release Henry from prison, from then on that whole story arc was quick. Henry's hey I'm out, now I'm leaving...just seemed like a quick way for the show to move on from that story line and all. Atom crusher was a bit blah for a plot device villain to set up the season's big bad in Zoom. I feel like maybe they should have introduced Jay Garrick's character a little earlier to assist with that. Lots of good stuff (nice to have Iris on the team finally) but much of it felt a little rushed. Still no one can cry like Grant Gustin.

I found last night's episode disjointed, very unusual for this show. Cisco had my favorite line of the night, about Joe: "God bless him." Hehe. And ok, I'll go along for the ride of parallel earths so we can see Tom Cavanagh again! Wonder if Eddie is still alive in that version??

And ok, I'll go along for the ride of parallel earths so we can see Tom Cavanagh again! Wonder if Eddie is still alive in that version?? Yeah the show this season has a lot of balls in the air it is trying to juggle making it messier than normal, but I have no doubt it will find its groove because the individuals involved are just too strong, the writers need to catch up to that. Cisco is really killing it this season though, and his Vibe transformation is going to be interesting. I really like the intro of Patty Spivot on the show, she is a great female character in the comics and has great chemistry with Barry. Always great to see Tom Cavanagh...soooo good. |

Totally agree about Patty! Liked her and her persistence, as well as bringing out the fun side of Barry. He could use more of that at the moment. I thought there might be a mention of his Dad leaving as one reason why he was more intense this ep., but nada. There was too much else going on with the introduction of new characters and different earths, as well as Cisco putting together the puzzle pieces. He's always fun to watch, esp. now with a more involved story line. |

Which I am cool with, but when I watch Arrow or Flash, shipping is really the last thing on my mind so i'm really not disappointed that much whoever they decide will be romantically linked. |

Harrison Wells! Hell yeah, I love Tom Cavanaugh.
Also scene with Barry and Capt Cold are always fun as hell, but my favorite stuff in the episode were the scenes with Cisco and Lisa Snart. Also Joe is still the best tv dad ever. And I'm guessing they will use Iris' mom to bring Wally West on the show.

Spoilers Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I527 using proboards Dont get me wrong, I do love a good ship every now and again but what I love about a show is a good story and strong character development and not one that revolves around characters romantic entanglements. Sometimes on certain types of shows that actually can diminish the storytelling and drag a show down. I mean there are vids, tumblrs, and fanfic for all of that if people really want it. |
