Holy s**t...that was awesome. Grant Gustin is simply amazing. I cried multiple times, Barry and Joe. Barry and his mom. Iris and Eddie. Cisco and Wells. Just so many moments that carried such emotional resonance. What an exemplary first season! That is how you build a cohesive story line that both has action and great heart. I can't wait for season 2. Yes!!!! Did you catch the images during the speed force? Killer frost, legends of tomorrow, the flash museum, Barry being the one in Jail instead of his dad, so muchhhhh Cant wait for SEASON 2 I was so shocked when eddie shot himself. Like I thought Steins speech to him was simply amazing and I remwmber saying you know if they really wanted to get rid of reverse flash all they would have to do is kill Eddie but in a million uears did I ever think that would happen. So many feels for this episode. Barry and his mom killed me. Sent from my SM-G900T using proboards I actually jumped off my couch when I saw Caitlin as Killer Frost. Clearly I think we will get to see her as that character but will it be the Caitlin we know in this timeline or another one since they are pretty much establishing the whole Flash multiverse scenario, which is awesome because the possibilities are endless. Also I was shocked when Eobard/Wells told Cisco that he was effected by the particle accelerator too, therefor we get Cisco as Vibe. I mean I knew he would be Vibe but I always imagined him just making his own tech to be Vibe considering his background and not an actual metahuman. I just hope as Vibe he doesn't lose his Cisco sense of humor. I LOVED his reference to Douglas Adams with his "so long and thanks for the fish" remark. And yes total shock when Eddie killed himself...I really thought they were building up that character to become another speedster starting this Allen-Thawne feud. What a moment for Eddie to be the hero, especially after that great conversation between he and Dr Stein. It was amazing to me that we went practically 40 minutes into the episode and yet to have the standard "action" scene but it was so riveting. I was on the edge of my seat with every character moment. The build up to get to those last few minutes was just overwhelming. I can't say enough about the writers and the actors on this show, you can feel their passion for what they do (its something that feels so lacking in TVD especially from the actors). And can anyone cry better than Grant Gustin? Whether it be the rage tears filling in his eyes when he was talking to Wells at the beginning and his "because I hate you" line. or his scene with his mom....oh god....I will start crying thinking about that scene, so heartbreaking. Grant has been amazing, he so embodies The Flash/Barry Allen perfectly that it reminds me of how RDJ just took the role of Ironman/Tony Stark and became iconic. Honestly DC is making a HUGE mistake by not using Gustin in their feature films for Flash. He just completely owns that role for me. CW overall has really upped their game with a lot of these new shows from the past couple of years, that TVD totally needs to step up because it really for me has become the weakest link in much of their programming.

Reign is doing worse in ratings than TVD but it's still on so I don't see TVD disappearing if they are keeping Reign around. This isn't a comment on the quality of Reign because I've never watched it. I think CW is hoping pairing TVD and TO together will bring up the ratings for both shows.

Yeah I should have lumped Reign in there with TVD by saying I think Thursday nights are CW weakest night by a huge margin. Obviously Reign is on the verge of dying because they moved it to friday which is a terrible time slot. And pairing TO and TVD made more sense than pairing TO with Jane. The Flash is clearly the crown jewel for the CW right now giving it better ratings than its ever had, and deservedly so....that show is one of the best shows on television let alone the CW network.

I used to watch Arrow, I don't want to make anyone upset, but I lost interest in s2 so even though The Flash looked interesting I was afraid it was just going to become just another Arrow. I love almost all the characters on Arrow but I just couldn't keep watching. Maybe I'll give Flash a chance.

I am a big comic book geek at heart so I am geared toward that type of show in general. I love anything supernatural, superpowered, superheroey etc. but a show also has to have heart, a strong emotional connection. The Flash is that in spades. Honestly napoli I can't recommend it enough, I thought it was that amazing. I know cw is going to reshow season one on tuesdays over the hiatus so do check it out, I would be curious to what you think. And if you end up not liking it, that is cool too.

Late to the game here! I finally watched the Flash finale - what a heartbreakingly surprising ending. The episode was so compactly written, nothing left dangling except what the writers wanted to leave for the cliffhanger. The talk between Dr. Stein and Eddie, leading Eddie to determinie he had a place at the table as the sacrifice.....just wow. Did not see that coming at all when Eddie talked to Iris for the last time. It sounded like he believed his destiny was to be with Iris. I'm so glad he told her his whole life had led him to her. Barry saving his Mom and changing all their lives in the process didn't feel like a Barry thing to do when the idea was presented, but I never excepted he would actually get the chance to talk to her one last time. Beautiful scene, and you're right on crimmyj that Grant was perfect! I liked his messy, real crying with drops falling all over the place instead of one or two single, graceful tears. Getting to actually talk to his Mom as she was dying...to hear how much she loved him!! That's pure gold. I didn't catch all the moments Barry saw as he was running, need to re-watch that part.Really glad to have Dr. Stein and Ronnie around for season 2, they have a fun, bantering relationship. Also extremely happy Joe is still alive!! I was worried about him. What a 10-star roller coaster ride!

SPOILER!!!!
From EW:
Flash scoop, please! I will take anything on Iris West or Westallen. Just name your price. — Tatiana
I’m a big fan of Funko Pop! and cold hard cash. Iris will be stepping up in a big way this season now that Wells is no longer the team leader at S.T.A.R. Labs. “Iris slides into [the role] very naturally,” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “She’s a born leader. One of the best things in the premiere is Barry decides that he wants to work alone because he doesn’t want to risk anyone else’s lives, and Iris is really the one who gets the band back together again. She’s the only one who can stand up to Barry.” www.ew.com/article/2015/08/28/spoiler-room-blacklist-castle-flash-spoilers
Jennifer: Kinda wondering about this one since Iris isn't a scientist. I thought Dr. Stein would take over. Oh well, glad someone gets the team working together again, and pulls Barry back from isolation.

The Flash (The CW) When to Watch: Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. What to Expect: Can the world handle more than one Flash at the same time? Central City is about to get a double dose of scarlet speedsters when the original Flash, aka Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) arrives in town to warn Barry and the S.T.A.R. Labs team of an impending danger that he alone cannot hope to stop. "Having Jay Garrick come onto the show was one of our earliest ideas," showrunner Andrew Kreisberg says. "It is so exciting, as we rush into season two, that we finally get to bring the Crimson Comet to life. We couldn't imagine anyone more suited to play the original Flash than Teddy." Plus, Barry is getting a new suit! www.eonline.com/photos/16921/2015-fall-tv-spoiler-rama/513083

THE FLASH Following last May's wormhole cliffhanger, the first DC character to take on the Flash title — Jay Garrick (Masters of Sex's Teddy Sears) — arrives from the past and becomes a mentor to Barry. But what about the man who guided him until now? "Harrison Wells will be back, but he's going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we've seen before," exec producer Gabrielle Stanton previews. But how (or should we say, from where/when?) will he return? "We've got other worlds. We've got other timelines. All I'm going to say is he's from one of those places," the EP replies with a laugh. Elsewhere, Iris is dealing with Eddie's death by throwing herself into her work, so Barry's eye may turn to police officer Patty Spivot (One Tree Hill's Shantel VanSanten), who "becomes a 'What if?'" possibility for the young hero. BONUS SPOILER!: Caitlin's new hubby Ronnie "is going to play a big role in [her] development" – did anyone else feel a chill? – while Cisco's Vibe journey will take on "a slower burn," Stanton teases. RETURN DATE: Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8/7c (The CW) tvline.com/gallery/fall-tv-2015-season-premiere-spoilers/#!14/fall-preview-flash/

Anything on The Flash would be great, especially regarding Iris West or WestAllen, thank you! — What Other Girls? How about scoop on everyone? Apparently I’m a big fan of lightning rounds because I got EP Andrew Kreisberg to give me a quick scoop for each Flash character. Ready? Set. Scoop! Barry: “New love.” Iris: “Face from the past.” Caitlin: “Brrrr.” Cisco: “Metahuman.” Wells: “Alive?” Joe: “Stalwart.” Ronnie: “Bravery.” Henry: “Heart.” Jay: “Broken.” Patty: “Delightful.” www.ew.com/article/2015/09/11/spoiler-room-flash-once-upon-time-arrow-spoilers

Any info about The Flash would be great, especially Barry Allen info. Thanks! — ShellyThe title of the season premiere is a very curious thing: “The Man Who Saved Central City.” While the residents of Central City believe that man is The Flash, and viewers believe it’s Eddie, there’s someone else that played a very big role on that day. www.ew.com/article/2015/09/25/spoiler-room-greys-blindspot-murder-spoilers
