They seem to be rushing this episode just to bring closure to the good residents of Bon Temps but I did almost die laughing at Ginger and Eric together. I never thought I would laugh at and yet still be envious of a sex with Alexander Skarsgard.

I must say I have really enjoyed this final season, they really did strike the right tone as far as bringing it all back to the beginning. Which of course had to mean Bill and Sookie were end game, they are not my ship but it makes sense in the overall arc. A more fleshed out backstory of Pam and Eric. Closure for Tara and Lettie Mae. Peace for Arlene. A future for Sam. Happiness for Lala. Jessica and Hoyt (that was wonderful!) and my favorite moment last episode was Jason laying next to a girl and NOT having sex. It was a great moment for his character. Eric finally banging Ginger, that scene was pure belly laughs from me. Hysterical! This season really brought some of the humor and heart back into the show that really started to waver in seasons 5 and 6. Especially 5, my least favorite season. If this could all end with Sookie and Bill being the only characters who die...that would be great. For all its up and downs, this show really brought some deeply entertaining and interesting characters into the world that I will truly miss when they are gone.

This show changed the actor's lives. That is why they are all speechless.
You haven't posted in a while. I hope all is good with you. I missed your posts.

Well the TB finale didn't disappoint ... I did think at one point they were headed towards making Bill human, because Sookie could hear his thoughts. After considering that, I think the way they went was best. Eric and Pam doing infomercials was too funny. I'm glad they didn't kill off Sookie, even though there were times in the series I wanted to choke her. lol They gave all the rest of the characters a pretty happy ending .... Bill got redemption in the end by sacrificing his life to set Sookie free. Pretty ballsy to make Sookie do it.

It would have seemed to weird if he and Sookie had ended up together. I'm glad they also brought up how it isn't natural to live so long and that Bill was meant to be laid to rest with his family. Being with a vampire also took away from Sookie's life choices. I would hate for them to do that to Stefan but I could see TVD ending similarly with Stefan sacrificing his life so Elena can have a happy, human life. The only story line I didn't like was Tara's. As the child of abusive parents it would have been nice for Tara to at least have some time living, if only as vampire, while being at peace with her past.

Just walk out into the damn sun, Bill...don't traumatize her by making her kill you (reminded me of Buffy killing Angel). I do love that Sookie decided to keep her light as it makes her who she is. The infomercial was funny, but what killed me was Eric dancing in the car. It was nice to see everyone have a happy ending, but did Jason knock Bridget up on the way to the airport because in the flash forward their kid seemed older than 4 years! And hardly any screen time for Lala. The finale really needed 2 hours I felt.

crimmyj, first I agree it should have been a 2 hr finale. I also though it was wrong on a lot of levels for Bill to have Sookie do the deed. As far a Jason/Bridget goes, it had to be the airport trip.... the time flash was 3 yrs and they already had 2 kids and one on the way. Your right about Eric dancing and bobin his head with the whole back seat filled with dead Yakuza. It was cool they didn't show the guy Sookie ended up with, there was no need. Would have liked to see more Sam and Lafayette in the finale. napoli, I agree it was best to have Bill die in the finale. You may be on to something about the TVD finale. Question about the TVD finale....What happened to Damon's body ... did it burn up in the fire? Did they recover the remains and bury it? A lot of the going back and forth to the other side, has a lot of unanswered questions. But we know that's all over now, right JP?

A lot of the going back and forth to the other side, has a lot of unanswered questions. But we know that's all over now, right JP? It was was about a 5 year time jump. First it was 'About a year later...' Eric and Pam infomercial. Then 'Three years after that...' Eric and Pam at the Stock Exchange. Lastly, 'The following Thanksgiving' a turkey being immersed in a big vat of boiling oil. And crimmyj I thought at first Bill should've just let himself fry in the sun too but then it would have been too similar to the scene with Godfrey and Eric. That scene with Godfrey meeting the true death in the sun was beautiful but it just wouldn't of worked the same way with Bill and Sookie. The way Sookie straddled Bill almost made me believe they were going to go at it one more time. Who needs the extra 1hr when another minute would've been enough for them. It was still a physical and entangled death versus sending out a bolt of light. Bill was holding Sookie's hands and pushed the stake into his own heart. It was as though even in the end they were working together. It was messy and most likely traumatic for Sookie but it still made some sense for them as a couple.

I agree with you crimmyj, he should have just walked into the sun. It was wrong of Bill to ask Sookie to kill him. If he loved her that much he shouldn't have asked her to do that.
The man that was to be Sookie's husband, we didn't see his face, was played by one of the stuntmen from the show and the woman in the studio, I believe she was behind the camera with Eric and Pam was none other then Charlaine Harris, the writer of the True Blood books.
Did True Blood go out with a bang, it sure did.

napoli, tks for the time frame clarification. I totally forgot about the year jump to Eric/Pams TV gig and focused on the three year thing..... So Jasons/Bridget's oldest looking 5 wasn't a goof after all. I do agree Bill's death was erotic the way it was filmed ... messy too. lol I gotta say I liked the way the series had the vamps explode into "blood jelly" ... very creative. I thought it was great that Jessica decided to go ahead and marry Hoyt so Bill could give her away. There was simply no doubt in her mind it wouldn't work, so it didn't seem rushed at all to me. All in all a great end to an entertaining series. I have my doubts TVD will end as well.
