So there is where I can say...that while I wasn't thinking about 'ships when reading HP or watching the movies...I really couldn't help but want Harry and Hermione to end up together. I got over it, but they just seemed so well matched. Though I loved book Ginny more than movie Ginny so was cool with Ginny for Harry too.
Fred's death probably hit me the hardest for some reason when reading the books, but Snape's death in the movies left me beside myself. owing a lot to my love of all things Alan Rickman. He is amazing.
Those be my little HP tidbits of the day.

I didn't really think about ships with HP either. I usually sort into Hufflepuff, with the occasional Gryffindor, but I like Hufflepuff. they're hard workers, loyal, and I remember hearing Helga Hufflepuff was a defender of the house elves, a woman who promoted causes, and that appeals to my social worker self. Hedwig and Dobby were the two deaths that crushed me For people, DD's death was the hardest. Even though his true death was Snape's AK spell, I think of his death as taking place in the cave when he drank the potion. The whole cave scene was emotional for me. Favorite book: Trade off between Prisoners of Azkaban and Half-Blood Prince Fave film: Prisoners for it's darker take on the book, and GOF for making all the tasks so fascinating to watch. HBP ruined the astronomy tower imo! The cave scene was good though. Fave characters: Harry for sure. Luna! I loved her. Lupin & Sirius, probably Sirius more because I didn't like Lupin's trajectory as much. Dumbledore until I found out he was so manipulative. Hermione and Prof. McGonagall grew on me.

wednesday OMG thank you thank you thank you, my fairy gif mother. Their friendship was perfection. I can't wait for you to read the books, so so much fun to read. Even if you don't consider yourself an avid reader those books are just a joy.

Even if you don't consider yourself an avid reader those books are just a joy. Oh no problem! I have tons of gifs when it comes to shows I love as you now know! Oh I love to read, but I have to be in the mood for it. I do plan on getting to them eventually. I do watch the movies a few times every year. My favorites are 1, 3, and 5.

Thank you for all the gifs wednesday and for these of Dobby in particular. Sniff . He was so brave. The scene in the book was incredibly well done, but seeing it visually on screen - I was a mess! I liked the Harry/Hermione friendship in the movie best. Looking at your gifs reminds me how many sweet moments they shared (and Hermione yelling at him when needed lol).

You guys are getting me all excited for Thanksgiving, because we usually have a Harry Potter marathon at my house. heck yeah! Wow! You watch all 8 films!! After posting all these gifs it made me want to watch some of the films. Like I said the 1st, 3rd and 5th are my favorites. I love Sirius! It absolutely kills me when he dies! The 5th one is just visually stunning and fast paced from the get go. The only thing I don't like about it is Dolores!!! Oh how I hated that woman with a passion!! I wish they had killed her!!! She was pure evil!! I love the 1st one for obvious reasons! It's the one that started it all and the 3rd one is just very well done from start to finish. I can't find anything to complain about. I may not have read the books yet, but I can pretty much discuss most things about the movies. I know I've cried alot through most of the deaths! Cedric! Dobby! Sirius! Hedwig Dumbledore Fred Snape Prof Lupin and Tonks! Did I get everyone that was a main character? The first 3 affected me the most! Which are your favorite movies?

It was love at first sight for me with our little house elf! I thought he was the cutest thing! He was just so funny jumping around on the bed saying Dobby this and Dobby that and banging his head on the dresser and with the lamp! He had me in stitches! I love these 2 scenes. I like the last one because he has shoes on and looks cute and keeps pushing Kreacher off of him telling Harry what happened! Harry wouldn't have made it through anything if it hadn't been for Hermione! She was one of my favorite characters hands down.
