@evers17 that's what happened. I was just trying to figure out where they would get the idea that Zach's name was Whitmore. Which I don't think it was. As to Zach's exact patrimony, was it spelled out? Stefan was turned at 17, likely not him. Damon was older and served for the Confederacy -- he could have sired a child. Or they had another brother. Their father had brothers? Their father sired a child with one of the household staff? Or otherwise out of marriage? I'd go for the father's brother's son. In the books the Salvatores were an Italian family and those are usually huge. Maybe in the next season it turns out that Zach's mom was a Whitmore? That wouldn't make his last name Whitmore but at least it would give a connection to any Whitmore storyline he might be involved with

It's always nice to see Zach Roerig at the Comic-Con conventions. It's not a party until he shows up. And boy did he look good on that poster! Am I right?Wow!
Okay, sarcasm aside, it's really a travesty that Zach is never involved with these Comic-Cons. I don't know if it's his decision, or the producers, but not having him there is really disappointing. The guy has been on the show for years, yet rarely have we seen him involved in significant appearances with the cast. And Michael Malarkey has been on the show for what... less than two years, and he's front and center? Doesn't seem fair, does it? Zach seems to always get the proverbial short end of the stick, while other actors are allowed to flourish. It's gone on so long it's comical. I just think it would be nice to see other members of the cast included in these major promotions, that's all. Having someone else's perspective for a change would be nice to see. And Michael Trevino? When has he ever been to any of these promotions? Sigh! This show is really doing a disservice to their audience with this.

Zach has a little kid at home, I think. That may have to do with his availability for cons?

The music on TVD in recent seasons seems to have taken a back seat to other things on the show. Before it was loud and prominent and really complemented a scene or emotional moment; now it's all but background noise, with the occasional song taking center stage. It's sad, cause this was one of the better aspects of the show. How many fans actually take the time to look up a song anymore? Or how many of them even care that it's playing? Along with the storylines and ratings, the music (at-least it's importance) seems to have taken a nose dive, and I doubt whether we'll see it at the same level again. Saying that, a few nice songs do slip through the cracks. And one of them -- which I heard on Spotify without realizing it was on TVD -- is this song by Young Summer called "waves that rolled you under." It was featured in Season 6 episode 11, and it's really good. At-least from my perspective.

Season Four Re-Watch. Favourite Klaus line:
Take this -- gestures to snowflake painting -- to the Mystic Grill (pause) immediately.

But as far as everyone else knew, Stefan and I were dead. Family name had to go somewhere. ” — -Damon to Rebekah about his half-brother

Does anyone know what happened to vampire-diaries.net? I tried to visit it but it had an adfly account? Strange. Is it because the site is finally shutting down, or someone else took over and is trying to make money with it? I'll be curious to hear if other fans had the same experience.

It lets see me the farewell post but doesn't let me access the main page Sent from my SM-G900T using proboards It's weird, cause I don't even see the website. Just an adfly account. If it is the end though, it's a sad day, cause I really loved that site. I spent over five years there and made a few friends too. It's definitely an end of an era.

Here's a thought I posted on another site about Nina and Elena. It's only fitting that I put it here.
I loved when Nina played Katherine, cause she truly showed her talent and range as an actress. Many times I sat there in complete awe, not quite believing what I was seeing. She was that good! But sadly, she wasn't able to bring that same intense, varied performance in the later years to Elena cause the writers never gave her anything to work with. For the last two seasons the character has regressed considerably, often relegated to superficial storylines not worthy of her status or Nina Dobrev's acting abilities. Elena had the potential to be a truly great character, but she was never able to reach it, and that will always be one of the great tragedies of the show. A terribly missed opportunity and a real injustice to the fandom. We can only hope that she goes out in some dignified fashion; something that pays homage and respect to her, reminding us of her glory days and what she truly stood for.

We can only hope that she goes out in some dignified fashion; something that pays homage and respect to her, reminding us of her glory days and what she truly stood for. I agree wholeheartedly. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I was up on Twitter begging people to either give Elena a better chance with a human love interest or let her go off on her own. I can't believe the writers have Elena sleeping in a coffin after six years of epic ups and downs with her character. It is so wrong. If they don't want another actress to play Elena, fine, but theories and comnents from fans in denial are no reason to treat Elena's character, and all of the others, this way. Putting their friend and girlfriend in a coffin and shutting her up in a tomb makes the other characters no better than Klaus. It's just wrong. The writers were going for a Sleeping Beauty angle, but it didn't seem like any fairy tale to me. That kind of thing belongs on shows like OUAT anyway. I work for Disney, which owns ABC, but it's in no way affiliated with the CW.
