Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin signs up for Fifty Shades Darker
Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin has been added to the cast of Fifty Shades Darker, Universal confirmed to EW. He’ll play Boyce Fox, a co-worker of Anastasia Steele. Though Fox is only briefly mentioned in E L James’ books, his role as a rising author who eventually signs with Christian Grey’s publishing company is being expanded for the film. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are both returning for the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel as Ana and Christian, but director James Foley (Glengarry Glen Ross) is taking over for Sam Taylor-Johnson. Foley will also direct the third film, Fifty Shades Freed. Hoechlin joins Fifty Shades along with other newcomers Kim Basinger, Bella Heathcote, Eric Johnson, Brant Daugherty, and Arielle Kebbel. Though Hoechlin is most famous for his TV roles in 7th Heaven and Teen Wolf, fans will also recall that he played Tom Hanks’ son in Road to Perdition. A former college baseball player, Hoechlin gets back on the diamond this April 1 when he stars as a ballplayer in Richard Linklater’s coming-of-age jock comedy, Everybody Wants Some. Fifty Shades Darker opens Feb. 10, 2017. www.ew.com/article/2016/02/26/fifty-shades-darker-tyler-hoechlinHappy to see that Tyler is doing so well with his film career!! BUT also sad at the same time because it looks like we won't be seeing Derek anytime soon. Hopefully he'll visit before the series wraps!!!

Teen Wolf Season Finale: Ryan Kelley Teases (Fatal?) Clash With the Beast
If you’re not at all concerned about Parrish as he prepares to battle the Beast of Gévaudan in Tuesday’s Teen Wolf season finale (MTV, 9/8c), you might want to reconsider exactly what’s at stake here. “It looks like Parrish and the Beast are going to square off with only one of them surviving,” star Ryan Kelley tells TVLine. “Will Parrish even make it out alive? And if he does come out victorious, what’s his purpose? Not to mention he’s supposedly dead already, as we heard that ‘Jordan Parrish is no more.’ There are a lot of factors in play here.” Bellow, Kelley offers up a few more finale teases, reflects on the most surprising moments from his time on Teen Wolf, and even discusses the apparent return of “Stydia.” TVLINE | How many uniforms do you think Parrish destroyed this season by turning into a hellhound? I feel like you’re always on fire.[Laughs] Yeah, you don’t see him much in a uniform this season, do you? That’s actually a running joke on set. During the first two seasons, no one would recognize me if I wasn’t in uniform; I would literally walk around set and some of the crew members would be like, “What’s this guy doing?” Now, if I have clothes on, people are like, “Whoa, what happened to you?” TVLINE | Which surprised you more: finding out Parrish is a hellhound, or finding out that he’s technically dead?Probably being a hellhound. Even though Parrish is technically “dead” — and I’ll admit don’t really know where that storyline is going — I have to imagine that he’s somehow still around, at least part of him. This is Teen Wolf, so if there’s any way he could come back, I’m sure he will. TVLINE | He was really opposed to embracing his hellhound side early on. Is that starting to change?I think he’s starting to listen to Lydia, who went through a very similar journey. He hasn’t won many fights against the Beast, but he knows he has a chance. He’s that Boy Scout-type person who will help if there’s any hope. Whether it’s good or bad, he’s willing to embrace the hellhound to save his friends and the town. TVLINE | Since you mentioned Lydia, how do you feel about her connection with Parrish? I have to say, it really seems like she’s moving back towards Stiles. From a fan perspective, I love what [showrunner] Jeff [Davis] is doing, teasing Stiles and Lydia. And it might not be a tease! Parrish is such an intriguing character for Lydia; they’re both harbingers of death, so they have that supernatural connection. I’ve always wondered if they have a friendship, or if there’s a little more there. She’s a beautiful girl, so Parrish would be stupid not to be attracted to her, but he’s got a lot on his plate right now. The writers keep us on our toes. TVLINE | What’s been your favorite part about this journey you’ve been on with Parrish for three seasons?Half of the time, I’m on the edge of my seat with the fans. It’s been a very interesting ride from when I started on the show. I’m nowhere near where I thought I’d be. I originally thought I was going to be a human hunter! tvline.com/2016/03/07/teen-wolf-spoilers-season-finale-parrish-beast-fight/#more-691398

Teen Wolf EP Reveals Season 6's First Villain, Teases 'Something Big' With Stiles and Lydia, Plus More Scoop
If the end of Tuesday’s Teen Wolf finale felt a little too much like happily-ever-after for you, fear not — there’s plenty of hellish mayhem on the way in Season 6. TVLine spoke with showrunner Jeff Davis about the episode’s most intriguing developments, how they’ll affect the show moving forward and, of course, what we didn’t see in the finale. For example: “This was the first episode where ever actually did time compression,” Davis revealed. “It’s when the episode is a minute too long for airing, and we use a company that removes fractions of frames so we can cut a minute out of the episode. I couldn’t cut anything. It was impossible.” TVLINE | Allison played a surprisingly big part this season. Can you talk about the decision to honor her character the way you did? There are two things to it: We loved the idea of writing a love letter to Allison, and also to Crystal Reed. When we were able to get her back for that episode, we were able to tie it into the plot, even the way she looked. It was another way for us to have Allison save Scott’s life, to show that these incredible relationships and bonds survive even after death. She can still save his life, even from beyond the grave. It was also a way of starting to hand the baton over to Teen Wolf 2.0. It is a very different show now, so we acknowledged the past while also moving towards the future. We’re seeing our high school kids on the way to graduation. It’s a strange thing doing a teen show that lasts four seasons, because they do eventually have to grow up. … I don’t think we want to have to change the title to Adult Wolf or Man Wolf. TVLINE | Am I crazy for hoping that whatever crawled out of the machine at the end will be played by Crystal Reed?[Laughs] That was the Nazi werewolf! I can absolutely confirm that the soldier has left the machine and will be a part of Season 6, a threat. It was something we were planning for a while, and we weren’t sure if we were going to use that final shot, but once we started shooting Season 6, we figured we might as well use it. TVLINE | Fair enough. What about Stiles and Lydia? They clearly have lingering feelings, so can we hope for some progression in Season 6?They’re not only lingering feelings — they become a focus, a focal point of the next season. Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you’ll have to tune in to see. TVLINE | That’s bad news for Malia. Speaking of, should we expect to see the Desert Wolf back in the near future?[Laughs] That depends on how Riverdale does. We were really happy with Marisol Nichols on the show, and we’d love to have her back. Malia’s relationship with her parents is always interesting, and you might see another parent show up soon. TVLINE | How about Theo: Dead or alive?I think he got his just desserts in the end, but I will say that we really like Cody Christian. We wanted to make sure we didn’t kill him, so we could possibly bring him back. TVLINE | It seems like everybody got the ending they deserved. A lot of loose ends were tied up.We absolutely wanted to do that. After the ending of 510, where we saw everyone at their lowest, we wanted to slowly bring everyone back up again, rebuild the pack. … That way, we could also get back to fun high school stuff, like seeing Coach again and getting Stiles back to humor. TVLINE | Stiles has been on fire these past few weeks.I remember being on set and demonstrating for the director exactly how Stiles should fumble the gun. The director asked me, “So, do they direct?” And I was like, “No, they should just stare at the gun on the floor,” and he should say, “I probably shouldn’t have a gun.” It’s fun to do moments like that, and I love that our show has a sense of humor. TVLINE | Let’s talk Parrish: What’s next for him after all of this?He is back in the world of being a deputy, and he’ll have to come to terms with what it means to be both supernatural and human. He’s definitely got some learning to do. His job wasn’t necessarily to kill the Beast, but to slow the Beast down enough. Was he the hero he was supposed to be in this last episode? He’ll be dealing with that in Season 6. TVLINE | And I imagine Mason will be experiencing some repercussions from everything he’s been through? We’re still debating that in the writers’ room as he develop Season 6. How much do we want this to effect Mason? Do we want his character to change? One of the things we like most about his character is that he’s utterly optimistic. He’s got this unflagging enthusiasm, so I don’t know how much we’re going to darken his character. He’s sort of a beacon of light for the other characters, and now that he’s human again, we’re most excited to see him being funny. TVLINE | As long as Corey’s sticking around.Yes, we’re going to explore that relationship — quite a bit, actually — in Season 6. TVLINE | Lastly, the fans are worried about Kira, who apparently loves to leave town. Why was she gone so much this season, and when can we expect her back? There are some big changes coming to the show next season; you’ll have to wait and see the fate of Kira. It was partially because we wanted her to go down a difficult path. We wanted to see her with her mother in the desert, to make sure we gave her a full episode to explore her character. As for certain characters not being in certain episodes, it’s a lot like The Walking Dead — some episodes, we just focus on different characters. It’s about where the show and the characters are all headed as we start to hand things off to our 2.0 characters. We’ll see the older ones graduate and go off and have other lives. tvline.com/2016/03/08/teen-wolf-season-6-spoilers-stiles-lydia-nazi-werewolf-villain/#more-691827

Teen Wolf finale postmortem: Jeff Davis explains 'love letter' to departed character
As Teen Wolf’s fifth season came to an end, Scott and his pack were able to defeat the Beast, save Mason, and reunite Theo with his sister in a truly horrifying way. But no finale is complete without a cliffhanger, and for Teen Wolf, that cliffhanger involved a new villain: A Nazi werewolf. (Oh yeah. Believe it.) We spoke with showrunner Jeff Davis about the hour, that Allison moment, and what comes next. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: I loved how this finale, and this season really, was such an ode to Allison in a way. Tell me about deciding to make her a central part of this story.JEFF DAVIS: It was in a way a love letter almost to both Allison and Crystal Reed. We were able to get her for the Maid of Gévaudan episode and to tie in her likeness. We knew that we could have a way for Scott to survive. We tried to really set up in that episode as well that Scott was never going to be able to defeat the Beast by pure strength alone, and it had to be clever. So that’s why Scott had a few tricks up his sleeve. This was the season of Scott as an alpha defeating the Beast through brains and not necessarily brawn. It also allowed us to have Allison save his life one more time and show just how much of a hero she was. And it’s also a way to say that these friendships and these relationships are so strong that they come back to you even after death. You never know when someone will be there for you. Does this cliffhanger mean that we have a Nazi on the loose?Yes it does. But he’s not the only villain. I have to say: I never thought I’d see a Nazi on this show.[Laughs] Neither did we! But we love history on this show, we love going into things like World War II and combining our Teen Wolf mythology with real historical events, as we did with the Japanese internment camps and Marie-Jeanne Valet being an actual person who defended herself against the Beast of Gévaudan. So we are possibly going to do another historical episode where we go back and see the Nazis’ obsession with the occult. Are the Dread Doctors still around? No, they are gone. I think we tied it up pretty nicely with the reveal of Marcel being The Surgeon. We wanted to say goodnight to that storyline. It was our first attempt at doing a storyline over 20 episodes and it’s hard to do. We are definitely going back to doing 10 episodes as one storyline. I have to know: Was one of the Dread Doctors female?Yes. We called her the Geneticist. One was the Surgeon, one was the Pathologist, and one was the Geneticist. The Surgeon created them, right?Yes, the Surgeon was the one who created them. That was Marcel. Is this the end for Theo?We can’t say just yet. That was one of the creepier things you all have done.[Laughs] Yeah, it was pretty weird. He was dragged into the earth by his sister. The Desert Wolf is knocked out. What’s next for her? It’s hard to say since she just booked a pilot. [Laughs] So we’ll see. We can say that she’s in Eichen House most likely doing her time now in our supernatural prison. Is Kira a Skinwalker now?She is not a Skinwalker but she is going to be with the Skinwalkers for a while learning to control the fox spirit. Deucalion was shot, but he’s still around. Is there an opportunity for him to return?Absolutely. The only reason we didn’t have him on the show sooner was because we had a scheduling conflict. But we absolutely love Gideon Emery, and we liked the idea that Scott would come back to him and say, “It’s now time to pay your debt. We let you go and now you have to help us.” It was nice to have Gideon back especially since he does such a great job with very long monologues and speeches. Mason just went through a lot. Are there going to be any after-effects for him? That discussion comes up a lot in the room and what we decided a while ago is Mason’s too “good” of a character. He’s such a good person that we find it hard to see him being affected by it. He was basically a pawn. It was like he was sick with the flu and now he’s back 100 percent. It’s not going to be quite like Stiles where he felt the after-effects of the Nogitsune lasted for quite a while. I loved that shot of Malia and Lydia linking arms and walking into the school. I know Holland [Roden] told me that they’re getting friendlier. Does that friendship make things awkward for Stiles?[Laughs] That’s handled quite a bit in the first episode of season 6: Where does his heart lie and how awkward is this going to get? www.ew.com/article/2016/03/08/teen-wolf-season-5b-finale-postmortem-jeff-davis

Teen Wolf Season 6: Meet the New Teacher We Already Don't Trust
Beacon Hills High School is welcoming a new teacher in Teen Wolf‘s sixth season. (Any chance he isn’t harboring a supernatural secret?) Pete Ploszek (Workaholics, Shameless) will recur on the MTV drama as Garrett Douglas, a “charming” educator likely to catch the eye of several students, our sister site Deadline reports. Few details are known about Teen Wolf’s upcoming season, but given BHHS’ penchant for hiring shady teachers — I haven’t forgotten about you, “Jennifer!” — it’s entirely possible that Mr. Douglas is connected to the Nazi werewolf who broke free in Tuesday’s finale. “I can absolutely confirm that the soldier has left the machine and will be a part of Season 6, a threat,” showrunner Jeff Davis recently told TVLine. “It was something we were planning for a while, and we weren’t sure if we were going to use that final shot, but once we started shooting Season 6, we figured we might as well use it.” tvline.com/2016/03/09/teen-wolf-season-6-spoilers-new-teacher-garrett-cast/#more-692348

Teen Wolf Season 6 Teaser Hints at New Nightmares in Beacon HillsA new four-legged foe is coming to Teen Wolf in Season 6 — and it has hooves! Following Teen Wolf‘s fifth season finale on Tuesday, MTV released a 15-second teaser for the drama’s upcoming sixth. As always, the powers that be kept things pretty vague. Only a few images are even fully decipherable: a mysterious man riding a horse, chasing Hayden and Liam through the woods; Stiles entering what appears to be a hospital room, looking forlorn; and someone (Stiles perhaps?) holding the hand of a sleeping patient. I’m just spitballing here, but could the man on horseback be one of the “ghost riders” Kira’s mom mentioned during her monologue about the “wild hunt” in the Season 5 premiere? Perhaps it’s being summoned to Beacon Hills after Parrish’s inner hellhound completed its mission? Thanks to showrunner Jeff Davis, we know that the Nazi werewolf — who was seen escaping from its mechanic prison in the final moments of Tuesday’s finale — will factor heavily into Season 6, as will Stiles and Lydia’s “not-only-lingering” feelings for one another. tvline.com/2016/03/09/teen-wolf-season-6-teaser-video-spoilers-stiles-villain/

Teen Wolf's Arden Cho Not Returning for Season 6 — Watch Announcement
Kira Yukimura is extending her trip into the desert. Arden Cho on Monday revealed (via an emotional YouTube video) that she won’t be returning for Teen Wolf‘s upcoming sixth season. “I just want to say I love Kira Yukimura so much,” she says in the video. “I love the Yukimura family. I loved my experience on Teen Wolf. I love the cast and crew, it’s been an amazing three-and-a-half years. It’s gone by so fast, but unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira’s storyline and she won’t be coming back for Season 6.” TVLine spoke with showrunner Jeff Davis following the Season 5 finale, at which point he said, “There are some big changes coming to the show next season; you’ll have to wait and see the fate of Kira.” (I guess the wait is over.) tvline.com/2016/04/11/teen-wolf-arden-cho-leaving-kira-season-6-video/#more-703075

Dylan O'Brien injuries further delay Maze Runner sequel productionFox has shut down production indefinitely on Maze Runner: The Death Cure to give star Dylan O’Brien more time to heal from injuries he suffered in an on-set accident last month. O’Brien, 24, was hurt filming a vehicular stunt for the post-apocalyptic adventure movie on March 18 in Vancouver, Canada, and his injuries have turned out to be more severe than initially thought. “His injuries are very serious and he needs more time to recover,” O’Brien’s publicist, Jennifer Allen, told EW in a statement. Twentieth Century Fox said in a statement, “The resumption of principal photography on Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible.” Production on the film had been slated to resume next month. The Death Cure is the third installment in a trilogy based on James Dashner’s YA novels. The director is Wes Ball, who helmed the previous films, The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials. The Death Cure is currently scheduled to hit theaters Feb. 17, 2017. www.ew.com/article/2016/04/29/dylan-obrien-injuries-maze-runner-delay

Supergirl Casts Superman: Teen Wolf's Tyler Hoechlin to Play Man of Steel
Supergirl has found its Man of Steel! Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin has been tapped to play the iconic role of Superman on The CW series, EW has learned. Hoechlin will appear as Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, in the first two episodes of the new season, visiting his cousin Kara (Melissa Benoist) in National City. “Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says. “We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.” Though this will be the first time that viewers will truly see Superman, his presence has been felt on the show. The Man of Steel has kept up a relationship with his cousin via online correspondence, and even appeared as a child when Kara suffered from the Black Mercy. He also appeared in the final episodes of the season when Non set off the doomsday device Myriad – or at least his boots did. In addition to his role on Teen Wolf, Hoechlin’s credits include Road To Perdition, Hall Pass, Solstice, and Everybody Wants Some. Hoechlin joins a long list of actors who have suited up as Superman, including George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, Tom Welling, Brandon Routh, and Henry Cavill, among others. The news comes as Supergirl is moving from CBS to The CW, where it will live alongside other Berlanti series Arrow, The Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – all of which will crossover for an epic event slated for December. Supergirl will return Mondays this fall at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. www.ew.com/article/2016/06/16/supergirl-tyler-hoechlin-supermantvline.com/2016/06/16/supergirl-season-2-superman-cast-tyler-hoechlin-clark-kent/I don't watch Supergirl, but I think I might have to tune in for these episodes to see my boy Tyler!!! I guess this means he won't be returning to TW any time soon? I was really hoping he'd put in at least one appearance this season. Hopefully before the series ends!!!!!

Teen Wolf exclusive first look: Dylan O'Brien's officially back in season 6
It’s official: EW can exclusively reveal that Dylan O’Brien will appear in Teen Wolf’s sixth season. Despite suffering injuries while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the actor will still play a crucial role when the show returns this fall. Furthermore, Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis assures EW that Stiles’ role might be more important than ever. “Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season’s mystery revolves around him,” Davis says. “We’re going to see just what Stiles’ friendship means to Scott, Lydia, and Malia. We’re going to see why exactly he’s Scott’s best friend, what it means that he’s Malia’s human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won’t-they relationship is with Lydia.” EW has an exclusive first look at O’Brien in the first episode of season 6, in which many fans will take note of a hand brace. However, as the photo was taken before O’Brien left to work on the third Maze Runner film, Davis says it was a completely separate injury. “That is a Dylan O’Brien injury that was written into the show,” Davis says. “You’ll see what happens with that in the first episode.” But looking past the first episode, Davis says that putting Stiles at the center of the season 6 mystery had always been the plan. So despite the fact that the below photo was taken before O’Brien’s accident, Davis’ season-long plan didn’t change post-accident. “When we were going into discussing this season, knowing that Dylan O’Brien had a big movie he was going off to do, we wanted to make sure that Stiles was going to be a very important part of Teen Wolf 6A,” Davis says. “So a lot of this story is about Stiles.” Although Davis wouldn’t spoil exactly why everyone is going to have to re-analyze their relationship with Stiles this year, Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey elaborates a bit, telling EW: “Everybody has a lot of reflecting to do. It’s beautiful. It’s so cool what we do. You fall in love with Stiles every episode. It really makes you think of all the cool s–t that we’ve done with Stiles and Scott over the past few years, so it’s a really reminiscent season.” As for the friendship between Scott and Stiles — which was put to the test in season 5 — Posey adds, “They’re very in love with each other.” www.ew.com/article/2016/07/15/teen-wolf-dylan-obrien-season-6

Comic-Con 2016: Everything you need to know before the Teen Wolf panel
The Dread Doctors might be gone, but with a new season of Teen Wolf, there’s always more evil lurking around Beacon Hills. But before the cast hits Comic-Con, let’s make sure you’re caught up. Here’s everything you need to know before Teen Wolf takes the stage at Thursday’s Comic-Con panel in San Diego. Where we left off: Scott’s pack is back together, the Dread Doctors are dead, Theo has been dragged to who-knows-where, and Kira is off with the Skinwalkers learning to control her fox spirit. Oh, and Lydia is finally out of Eichen, Mason’s okay, and Hayden is officially a werewolf. Did you get all that? What we know about season 6: For starters, Arden Cho announced that she won’t be returning for season 6, which means that Kira is no more and Scott, for the first time, is going to be a single man for more than, like, a week. Then we’ve got the question of Dylan O’Brien’s involvement in the season, which was put into question after he was injured while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure. But as EW exclusively revealed, O’Brien is back, and Stiles will be a big part of the season. Other highlights: Stiles and Lydia are going to have a very “definitive” moment for their relationship in the first episode, and in unrelated news, one of this season’s villains is a Nazi werewolf. If you were wondering, yes, we will be getting a flashback (or two) to Nazi Germany. Finally, let’s not forget about high school graduation. To say it’s weighing heavily on Scott is an understatement. The true alpha will have to ask himself: Can he leave Beacon Hills behind? www.ew.com/article/2016/07/17/teen-wolf-comic-con-panel-preview
