The CW has released an official description for the third episode of The Originals’ third season, airing on October 22.
The title of the episode is “I’ll See You In Hell Or New Orleans.” Here’s how they describe it:
FLASHBACKS TO THE FIRST VAMPIRE EVER SIRED — With tension running as high as ever, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) are forced to come together in order to uncover Lucien’s (guest star Andrew Lees) true motives in New Orleans. Cami (Leah Pipes) is caught off guard when she finds herself face to face with Lucien and is surprised when he reveals some unexpected information about his past with Klaus. Elsewhere, a mysterious figure presents an enticing offer to Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) turns to an unconventional way of coping with her current situation. Finally, an old acquaintance from Elijah’s past arrives in New Orleans and delivers some startling news involving the growing threat to the Mikaelson siblings. Yusuf Gatewood also stars. Michael Grossman directed the episode written by Declan de Barra & Michelle Paradise (#303). Original airdate 10/22/2015.

I think that Lucien Castle said "like a phoenix I rise" and I know that it's a reference to him coming back to life just before the brothers were going to set his body on fire, but could it also mean that he is somehow connected to the Phoenix stone from TVD ?

Thanks ! I'd love it if they make some crossovers between TVD & TO like DC TV does with Arrow & The Flash and soon to be Legends of tommorow

Hi aiseman! i have to confess I didn't watch Originals this week, but when I read your comment, it made me wonder about the phoenix stone - good point! It does seem raising someone from the dead with the phoenix stone could infuse that person with evil, or Bonnie wouldn't be getting such bad vibes and visions from it. Sorry wednesday, moshe12 and shoe20 (are you watching TO shoe?) but I'm having a hard time watching this season. I'm dvr'ing and may binge watch at some point, or get hooked again - who knows??

I didn't watch episode 3 yet, havn't had time, but I am not getting connected with the story this season, unfortunately, makes me a bit sad, but I must confess that I am enjoying TVD far more than TO this season, at least so far. And I think that Klaus is treated very badly, also not very eager to watch a new rivalry and conflict rise between Elijah and Klaus yet AGAIN. The situation between Klaus and Cami is very frustrating for me meanwhile, those two have great chemistry together, but they can't find to one another. It is very frustrating. And so many new characters ... I just don't know yet

Plus, Thursday viewing is over the top for my shows with TVD, Sleepy Hollow and now Big Bang returning to that night. If TO had remained on Mondays, I might be watching. I'm a little vampired out at the moment. Like you, I prefer TVD this season (much to my surprise because I was so mad after the finale!). Maybe TO will take a turn for the better and you can enjoy it again like we did last season.

jennifer and moshe12 I hate that neither of you are enjoying this season and have given up, but I understand. It did start off slow because I didn't care for the premiere at all, but it is getting better with each episode. Is anyone else having problems getting into this season?

I know it's one of the few shows I get to chat with you about, esp. in Fall, so that's a bummer. I didn't try very hard with TO admittedly, in part because I'm cutting down on TV in general. Come Winter, we'll have a couple of shows to overanalyze. I hope you keep liking TO better and better as the season progresses.

I know it's one of the few shows I get to chat with you about, esp. in Fall, so that's a bummer. :( I didn't try very hard with TO admittedly, in part because I'm cutting down on TV in general. Come Winter, we'll have a couple of shows to overanalyze. :D I hope you keep liking TO better and better as the season progresses. I finally binged the first four episodes last night and I'm moderately intrigued. I like the concept of the sire line wars and I'm optimistic that Aurora will wreak havoc, hopefully also creating romantic tension too among all these men who had a thing for her (including her brother - GoT anyone? Yuck!). The thing about this show is that there is always a lot of talking and not very much showing. I'm constantly dozing off! Freya is growing on me. I really like Vincent and I hope he gets a more prominent storyline as himself, not as a possessed body! Cami is always just OK for me. I can't get past the retconning of Klaroline when it comes to Klaus's attraction to her. And if they're going with it they just need to go with it, at least by giving us a bit more of the Klami romance. The Strix is kind of cool. Aya is interesting. Marcel is bad ass, in glad he foiled the initiation plot. (plot point from 3x04, sorry) Hayley is at her best when she's with Jackson, he makes her interesting. Otherwise she just doesn't fit in with the Mikaelson world - part of this is PTs acting but part of it is just the two dimensional nature of her character. I will probably continue to binge watch it like this, every few weeks I'll catch up.

moshe12 Ok. We saw that Klaus had a fling with Aurora and that he was responsible for Lucian being beaten to death by Tristan. Klaus turned him accidentally. Obviously Klaus feels remorse over what happened to him and responsible plus he was the first one he turned. What I want to know is what on earth made Elijah turn Tristan after he saw what he did to Lucien! And what made Rebekah turn Aurora? I'm assuming it was her since they said they were the Trinity and each of the Mikaelson's turned someone. Right? I didn't like Lucien at first, but after seeing what happened to him I felt a lot more sympathetic towards him. I still want to know how he got the cure for a werewolf bite and hope we get an answer to that. I bet Aurora's fling with Klaus is what drove her nuts too. I just wonder if it's Druscilla crazy?

No vamp or whatever creature can beat Drusilla! She was a miracle. But Aurora is pretty nuts let me put it this way. I don't undertsnad Elijah anymore tbh
