The CW has released a description for the November 3rd episode of The Originals.
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ NINA DOBREV APPEARS IN FLASHBACKS AS TATIA, THE ORIGINAL DOPPELGANGER — In order to show Elijah (Daniel Gillies) that her plan is what’s best for him, Esther forces him to relive a time long ago when he loved a young woman named Tatia (guest star Nina Dobrev). With the help of Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is determined to find Elijah, who has gone missing, but is torn when she discovers that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is also in trouble. Elsewhere, Cami (Leah Pipes) finds herself in a dangerous situation when Mikael (guest star Sebastian Roche) takes her hostage as a way to lure Klaus to him, and Davina (Danielle Campbell) makes an upsetting discovery about Kaleb’s (guest star Daniel Sharman) true identity. Lastly, a violent confrontation ensues when Klaus comes face-to-face with Mikael.
Michael Robison directed the episode written by Declan de Barra & Diane Ademu-John

Esther is just lethal. Once again the show confirmed she's the most evil big bad ever introduced on TVD/Originals. Turning her children into vampires wasn't enough; no, she also had to manipulate and spell them both in childhood and as adults. It's some combination of power by obliteration and a way to vindicate her actions (to herself?) . It hurt to watch those scenes with Elijah, and I'm still not sure what Esther said was true! Did Elijah bury the truth so deeply about the gory events of his past that his fastidiousness is a clue to his bloodshed rather than a personality trait? I don't want to believe Esther, but at times there were looks of horror and recognition on Elijah's face. On another note, I love seeing Alice Evans in flashbacks; I wish she could be the one acting in present time because no one can imitate her steady, cool rage. Lenora is pretty good, a little too much surface rage rather than psychological manipulation. Mikael is looking more and more like an overgrown bully with a limited repertoire of taunts and moves. It was great to see a group standing up for Klaus, even if two of them still want to kill him. I was on the edge of my chair for this one! Anyone else??

jennifer I can't say, I was into this episode or really any others. Not enough Klaus screen time for me. There is NEVER enough screen time of him for me. Hayley will be the next Esther Jumper. If only,, to get rid of the character she is in now. If they really want to get creative they will have Esther jump into Cami for her Witchy Woo arsenal of Bag of tricks,, really anything to get rid of Hayley and Cami,, join hands with Marcel,,and they can take a long walk off a short pier together. I really like Mr. Mikaelson,, he really shakes things up,, too bad he couldn't have shaken up Callub,, so that the REAL KOL falls out of him.!!!!!

Ohhh Haley, now THAT would be a really bad situation for Elijah. No chance of your wish for Haley and Cami to both go away, but you can dream. It is too bad about Kol, loved seeing Nathaniel B. in the one episode. I'm sure you loved it even more. Good to see you here - thanks shoe20.

I'm still not sure if Esther was spelling Elijah to see things. Going to read some theories....

I thought the episode was ok. I was underwhelmed by Nina's appearance. I thought there would be more to it. She was fated to be with Klaus, but chose Elijah? She and Klaus barely spoke in the episode? He grabbed her and kissed her and she pushed him away and ran to Elijah. What kind of relationship did she really have with Klaus? I thought we would find out more about that with the two brothers. I guess she and Elijah were the ones that were actually in love. According to all the articles and interviews I posted in the spoilers from the writers, Elijah was the one that did kill Tatia. Poor Elijah. I wonder what this will do to him now that he remembers the truth. I agree with you jennifer Esther is one sick chick! Actually both of the parents are! It's no wonder the kids are all so screwed up! I don't get Mikael at all and almost laughed at him! He hates Klaus with a passion, but holds no resentment toward Esther? WTH? She was the one that cheated on him and had the affair that resulted in Klaus!! I almost died laughing when he told Cami he did care about Klaus at one time, but that he had turned his family against him. From all the flashbacks we've seen Mikael has shown anything but love toward Klaus since he was a little boy! If that's love I'd hate to see how he showed real anger! I still wonder what he thinks happened to Kol and Finn? Cami is still as useless as ever! I was praying Mikael would put me out of my misery and kill her!! She's the reason Klaus almost died! I couldn't believe they had him give her the white oak stake! That was the only thing that could save him. She actually thought she could go up against Mikael and protect Klaus? What's she going to do? Talk him to death? She certainly tried! I agree with you again jennifer Vincent definitely has way too much personality for this version of Finn. I had commented on that in the general thread. This version of Kol is way too tame. I hope we get Nate back maybe after his web series wraps up.
