Hello, guys! I'm only starting a new thread -- gosh, I hope I'm allowed to -- because my phone can't operate the ones with many gifs. There doesn't seem to be a proboards app for Blackberry. Anyway, I have just been thinking about 1x01. Stefan's passion for Elena was made evident from the very start, in that he responded so deeply to her -- not only to her blood when she fell, but to her -- that his blood spontaneously flooded his eyes. His response to her was so profound -- and passionate -- that he realized it was overwhelming decades of sublimation therapy. Because we were testing that moment for basic evidence of his vampirism, I think I wasn't realizing at the time how unusual it was for Stefan to show himself -- the depth of his passion -- thru his veins in that way. That's the test, I think, for whether a new love can compete with his feelings for Elena, spell or no spell.
Let me know your thoughts when you are done your review of Seasons One and Two?
