I liked the season 5 finale, but it was all so rushed...my oh my...have to rewatch and post my thoughts then. Here are my first impressions. I am pondering about who died and who not e.g. Liz Forbes Sheriff Forbes needs some vamp blood to heal all those bad burns. My Beremy heart was bleeding, i howled when Jer spoke to Bon on mobile and cried "don't you dare ..." and when he ran to find her I was shredded to pieces. My poor Jer Damon&Elena were so Thelma&Louise, that was cool. And then at the end Damon pulled a Sidney Carton. I didn't know whether to cry or laugh when Silas was sucked into the black hole. So glad that Markos got sucked away, ROFL hehehe I am very happy that Ty survived, very happy that Matt, Caro and Jer made it out without a scratch. Happy Stef and Ric made it out. But as Silas appeared I was a bit confused whether it was Stef or Silas. R.I.P. Sheila and Lexi. So disappointed that those useless wonder twin witches survived. ...to be continued Cheers The end scene was awesome imo, so sci fi. Bon and Damon holding hands and waiting for Idk, we will see next season. I thought I was the only one that liked that Ty survived... I think he has such great potential as a human, trying to watch his temper.

I like Ty since season 2, actually I began to feel sympathy for him when his father was all jerking him around in school and wanted to force him and Jer to beat each other up. And then Alaric intervened. That was cool. i just rewatched season 1 and 2. No you are not the only one, I am sure there are many more Tyler appreciaters out there in the world. And Ty will def be having to controll his temper and rage. That human boy with a werewolf gene is a lose end.

TVD Ratings - 1.57 million. Wow!!!!!! I never thought it would be that bad. And for a finale! They need to remedy this asap, cause the show might not last the sixth season if the ratings keep droping like this. That's just awful! I wonder if they can even fix this. There is only one way to fix it. Fire the current writers- Dries and Sonnenshine are the worst IMO, and start a fresh. Before anyone writes anything, they should all spend hours watching seasons1-4 on a loop, until they know the SL and the characters inside out, just like most of the fans. A great last couple of episodes, but a poor incohesive, confusing season overall. Have a great summer everyone, and welcome to the newbie members.

Alaric is back! What I've been waiting for! Now all we need is Damon on the same plane and we 're good to go! Ha!!! I knew I had forgotten someone...Alaric...he is back. I loved Alaric and remember well that I cried buckets when he died in season 3. So then we will have another parental figure? Did he come back as a vampire/vampire super hunter?

See and that's why i like ric-a parental figure at times, absolutely...but is flawed as well (drinks too much, anger issues), there's many sides to ric and I like that about him. He can be a great friend and mentor though, I think that was part of why he was so popular. S6 will be time for him to both get help along with giving help (usually he gives more than he receives-I like that this is the season for the gang to give back). Yeah, as far as I understand he'll return a vamp hunter/original vampire and has a lot of trouble with it and has to come to terms with it. My thinking is Elena will be a big support system to him, maybe Stefan as well? Still too bad Damon won't be around, at least for the 1st little while-I love the dynamic between those 2!

I guess I like the flawed characters! I also see huge potential in his character...he could be a strong leader if given a chance, I just don't think the writers used him in the right way. When I think of him, all I think of is the scene in s4 when the pack if werewolves where bowing to him-he could have been made to look like a strong leader, but again he was just made to look jerkish. Maybe being a human again trying to fight off that huge temper will be a humbling experience for him, maybe he'll be a little less of a jerk and a little more helpful?

Oh man that scene was awesome in season 4, he has potential greatness in him but a pity it didn't evolve (storywriting again!) In season one he was the biggest jerk and ahole around, spoilt little brat, selfish. Although a Forwood fan I didn't really get angry with him when he left Caro, I try to understand both sides. But he is part of the gang, although he is a even bigger loner than Stefan. I just hope he doesn't trigger the ww gene again.

He was a huge ahole in s1, I think he continued to be a jerk he just didn't show it as much because he was going through a lot (warewolf turned hybrid)-he was always fearful of what would happen next. I agree though, he appeared to be a crazy loner in MF though we're still not completely sure what he was doing when not in MF or how many packs he was in if it all. I wonder if he just feels left out in MF being the only warewolf and esp hybrid,,maybe as a human he won't feel so left out.

Yeah about the forgivingness....those were the circumstances that surrounded the breakup that lead me to not get to messed up about it. I think Ty lost his father (who was a full grown alpha male douchebag as Alaric had pointed out very early in season 1, Klaus killed/murdered his mother, his pack etc. And sometimes a man/woman has got to do what he/she must do. Another astonishing thing about forgiveness...is Klaus and me...he killed Aunt Jenna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He had a murder rampage in over 1000 ys and then he took off to NO. BUT even so, Klaus is one of the best portrayed and multilayered characters in TVD and TO. I just don't know what it is about Klaus aka JoMo. In any case he is one crazily talented actor. I am generally not that forgiving as you assume

Alaric is back! What I've been waiting for! Now all we need is Damon on the same plane and we 're good to go! well as for me I am very excited about Damon and Bonnie's storyline on the other side. I hope it will not be over after a few episodes already. This storyline could bring a whole new dimension into the show. And I loved their bonding in the books. Hopefully it will happen on the show, too.

Alaric is back! What I've been waiting for! Now all we need is Damon on the same plane and we 're good to go! This was such a bitter sweet moment for me. I have missed Alaric, I miss the extra dynamic he gave to the Gilberts and Damon. If he had come back in just about any other episode, his resurrection would had me jumping up and down like an idiot, as it happened, it was overshadowed by Damons death, and I was too busy weeping into my snotty tissues. A few days on, and it is a silver lining in a very dark cloud. I hope we do get to see more Dalaric at some point next season, I am a massive fan of the bromance.

You have no idea how much I agree with your post! Ric without Damon just seems wrong to me, they really bring out the better parts of eachother. Damon loosens ric up, makes him a little less angry, and ric is a huge positive influence on Damon. I too feel the same about Damon, still crying.. But some friends from the other site convinced me not to lose hope, plenty of dalaric scenes to follow upon Damon's return (which should be sooner rather than later). Still in shock though...
