I thought that this episode was great, however I felt that the final scene was not long enough but at least the track that accompanied it 'Fire Breather' I think it was called was rather good and pretty much sums up their toxic relationship.

I am sad to confess that I have lost my passion for TVD. Nevertheless I watch it out of a habit probably. But I thought tonights episode wasn't that bad after all. The last 5 episodes I didn't care for.
I couldn't stand that false Liv from the beginning. The way she threw herself at Jeremy. Sneaky to the core! Same goes for her sneaky brother.
But it seems that the circle is going to close and that things might make more sense. We will see.
Feel sorry for the Stefan doppelanger already. What do the travelers want, restore the balance?
The Elena and Damon scenes are horrible imo. So overdramatic. And I get bored by them and I don't buy it, otherwise, not a bad episode after all.

too many open ends again. What was the purpose of the vampire killing virus? Why were the travellers interested in it and helped Dr. Wes with it? Why were there 2 versions of the virus? This whole virusthing could have been Damon's first storyline but now he is reduced to rolling his eyes and taking his shirt off again
But the doppelgänger/Traveller storyline is getting interesting now. I'll try to skipp over Delena from now on and focus only on Stefan's storyline

I have seem to lost some passion for TVD as well but ill still watch it to the end. I must say Ms. Elena Gilbert woke up beautiful for having to be trapped due to her trying to kill her friends. I guess the make up in general this episode was amazing because all the girls looked so flawless. I liked how they involved the hallucinations with Elena. It was fun to see. I love the way Nina acts so I liked her going "crazy act" act. which btw the scene with her Bonnie and Liv was Cray Cray. Elena made me gasp when she flung the stick at Liz. It was such a Damon move and I guess they paralleled her scene with Damon's threatening matt again to get out. Although I am not a Delena shipper I thought the phone call scenes were very cute. The gossip scene where Damon tells Elena about Caroline and Klaus had me cracking up haha. and even their convo at the end how the clearly know they do not work together because it changes them they cannot resist to love eachother. Please don't shoot me I still love you all hahaah 
At this point in the story I do not want Elena with neither brother. That's just me though. I love Stefan and Caroline scenes. I love how they have their back. Stefan told Caroline the same he would do for Elena he would do for her. and I loved her expression when he said that. I cracked up when he woke up after they did the linking spell and was like Rebekah? He had me going for a moment hahahahaha They also showed that Caroline is passionate about her all her friends. WHen the witches were attacking Bonnie she killed all 12 without hesitation because her friends come first. It was the same thing with Stefan she threatened Sloan to lay off of Stefan. Now they need to kill the new Doppelganger. Which btw...I am glad they went with a Stefan Doppelganger rather then a Elena one because it makes sense. Stefan has been alive now for over 100 years. They could have given him a different hairstyle though like come on TVD. But I do not know how I feel about them killing the new Doppelganger. It's Elena's story all over again. Now to people in Atlanta the mystic falls gang are the villains. it never ends does it. Caroline and Enzo though...."Ahh Damon told me you can be a bit judgy and I heard you had a thing for Accents" how did he know that was Caroline. She never introduced herself hahaha.  Liv and her brother...Im actually excited they are bad. Im like this b*** is playing my bonnie. What the heck do they want with her? Maybe they are travelers as well. Trying to destroy the other side? urgh I knew it was a trick to lure bonnie in. Liv is lucky she is hot. |

The moment she first appeared she played witchgames with her pencil in the middle of the classroom. Come on it was obvious she wanted to lure Bonnie's attention. And the salt thing was playing dump too obviously. But I wonder who she really is. One thing keeps me thinking. Most of the witches have dark skin and most of the travellers have white skin... Julie was once accused to be discriminating because the witches always have dark skin but she said it's because they are all related. Yet Esther the original witch was white and Tessa was some kind of mix. Do the travellers come from their bloodline? And will we get to know a difference between white skin witches and dark skin witches? English is not my native language and I know that this skin thing is a discriminationproblem but please don't judge me for calling them darkskin and whiteskin. It was the easiest explanation for me. |

The phone call between D and E was also somewhat ok, and the gossip was funny...Caroline and Klaus sitting in a tree... lol!!! But the end scene went on my nerves. BTW I am starting to like Enzo (dry British humour) and looking forward to that Markos dude. Though the travellers ....yawn up to now! I can't stand Liv and Luke, but you are right, they are also catching my attention and I hope they can make the SL interesting...THE NEW SUPERVILLAINS??? Regarding the aspect that The originals have their own tv show now, which I must painfully admit has thrown TVD off my personal tv throne, I am glad that the core group (Bon, Ty, Jer, Matt, Caro and the doomed triangle) is still on the show. It kind of makes me happy, probs the only TVD aspect that I am glad about constantly. |

So I liked how they are showing Katharine's resourcefulness lol compared to elena. It was interesting how angry she got with Katherine but damon can kill a good friend and it is like nothing happened. I liked how the writers continue to explain de as a negative thing but feel like this episode was for that fandom. They are so happy (any de's can let me know if I am wrong) with this episode yet both characters described the relationship as toxic. I have even seen some de's say this is a positive thing. I feel that the de's were getting upset because lets be honest the last few episodes glorified se. So this is something to give fandom what they want. I liked the fact that caroline is almost taking from elena the heroine role. More to come I have to go to ncaa party.

I really have so few fond memories of these last few episodes of Season 5. a lot of jumping the shark going on. |
