The Originals Episode 1x17 - Moon Over Bourbon Street

The CW has released an official description for the March 18 episode of The Originals.

The episode is called "Moon Over Bourbon Street" and here is how they describe it:

UNNATURAL ALLIANCES — After accusing Klaus (Joseph Morgan) of doing nothing while their control over the Quarter crumbles, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) makes a move to take matters into his own hands. He receives an intriguing offer of support from Francesca (guest star Peta Sergeant), a beautiful woman from a powerful New Orleans family. In an attempt to bring the warring factions of the city together, the Mikaelsons throw an extravagant party, where Klaus offers Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) a tempting deal, Elijah and Hayley share a dance, and a violent fight comes to a surprising end. Finally, even as Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) works on a new path to power, he continues to help Cami (Leah Pipes) deal with her Uncle Kieran's tragedy (guest star Todd Stashwick).

This was probably one of the first Originals Episodes that I wasn't so excited about. Not saying that I did not like it because I did but it was kind of mellow to me.

My highlights

Davina and Josh
I absolutely love their friendship. It always puts a smile on my face when I see them onscreen because they are too adorable. I like that he's so open with her and that he really wants to help her and not use her for anything. I am glad he was able to help her with the magic situation.

Monique
Still trying to figure her out but I don't like how shes power tripping and getting at Davina so much. She need to chill the heck out. I wanted Davina to smack the crap out of her when she interrupted her and Oliver (the new werewolf) I was so happy when they showed her reaction to Davina's "rose garden"

Elijah
You aare one sexy man sir especially when he is the one in charge. I liked how he was trying to come up with a peace treaty but I had to agree with Hayley I did not find it fair that he was excluding the werewolves. They still are part of the town

but also Mr. Elijah Be careful your jealousy is showing. Earsdropping on Hayley and Jackson conversation. Tsk tsk hahahah

Hayley
I like that they have Hayley taking charge for her family the wolves. the main reason why she left mystic falls to New Orleans was to find her family or her clan. She has finally found them and now she knows that she is part of werewolf royalty. She is definitely stepping up to her position. I enjoy her character way more on this show then TVD.

I liked that she was willing to stand up to Elijah at the end when she said you might as well kill them all if that's the attitude you going to have. Two men who adore her got her point loud and clear.

The Human Faction Leader aka Fransheska
I do not know how I feel about her fully yet. I like that on the originals they are introducing all these strong female characters but for some reason she rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe its just her face lol but I don't like that she comes into town threatening yet flirting with Elijah. lol b*** hahaha. I wonder how her role will play into effect with all this.


Cami
SO although Cami does not serve any purpose on this show for me sometimes. I must say this episode she was  extremely extremely BEAUTIFUL. Maybe it was the hair or the make up but she looked hot. Her getting at Klaus regarding Genevieve, I wanted to just punch her. Since when is that your damn business what he does lol You constantly judging the dude and then you wanted to go head on with a witch. I know she made a point saying that she tried to kill him with the dagger but still... I loved Genevieve's response to her about being fully naked 10 minutes before hahahaahha.

Her sleeping with Marcel....well I liked that they did but it shows me how much more I cannot and never will be for Marcel and Rebekah. also Cami caring what Klaus thinks of her sleeping with Marcel...hmmm? I see genevieve will be using this to her advantage especially since she felt the need to spy on her.

Marcel
Again Marcel you are cute to look at but I do not like you very much. You let my girl leave on her own and then when Cami is like Im tired of being alone you have the nerve to say that you do too? Mother F*&^Cker

You also trying to get back the city from the outside in with you and your invisible army. Im glad him and whats his face are friends again but seriously you cant kill the originals so how do you expect to make this work...

Only good thing i liked was that he went to josh so he can help davina because he does truly care about her.


Genevieve
SO you sleeping with Klaus and now you questioning his relationship with Cami... my head is ringing with Psycho Alarms all over the place. Klaus better be very careful to not betray a witch. Although Im enjoying that Klaus is getting some action lol.

It's been what? A month since Rebekah Left? Im glad to see how much it has effected Klaus regarding his sister. it just shows how much he truly does love her. He has focused himself into painting after painting while Elijah is running things before they get out of control. Klaus though has his own plan that hes not sharing with anyone and it involves the wolves. Hes building his own secret army but i do hope it doesnt get thrown back in his face for going behind Elijah's back.

I want to see how exactly this can effect everything. I loved his last paining with the gigantic moon over new orleans. But he has the head witch on his side and now possibly the wolves....this is goingt o get very interesting.

Liked the episode. Hate the next hiatus already. Booh!!! 3 weeks!

The episode was very calm and yet interesting for what is to come, esp the end scene with the painting Klaus did.

People I can't stand: Jackson, Oli, Francesca, Monique, Genevieve, Hayley

I feel so sorry for Father Kieran. Starting to like Cami.

Starting to like Diego as well.

Still don't like Thierry.

Love Josh and Davina friendship. I hope Davina kicks Moniques' a**!!!

Love the three leading men though

That JoMo makes Klaus so adorable, he gives the character exact the right amount of vulnerability he needs. And his introverted pouting dimple face is so pretty.

Elijah is sooooo sexy ith his suit and stepping up. BUT take care Elijah!!!

Marcel: Oh Marcel I cannot bring myself to dislike him or hate him. He has too much sex appeal. And Charles Michael is a very very good actor and very charismatic imo. I know him from Switched at Birth. And boy did he toughen up in his looks, all bulking up and hulking out.

Surprisingly I didn't miss Bex.
