Hey guys this is just an over all discussion of the show I guess XD
I really love this show!! I am obsessed, I like what they have started to develop here. I also love the characters Klaus(<3 omg so sexy and I love his character) Elisha ( he reminds me of Abraham Lincoln! Also I have a theme song for him it fits so perfect!!! Hey brother by avicii) and all the other characters.
Some things I don't like well, I hate Klaus and Carolina.... Don't even get me started( she makes me want to pull a klaus and stab someone's eyes out) I hate how they killed divina, but I have a feeling she might come back. Also I hate how long I have to wait to watch new episodes.
So if you want to discuses or share anything please reply!!!!

Ruby wednesday so what do you think Ruby and WD? How about a discussion roundtable for The Originals like the one we have for TVD. I love to do these season roundups, it is a good occasion for reflections and understanding the series, a finishing touch I might say. Cheers

I was just thinking about how Esther, Finn, and a new witch are supposed to have been resurrected when Season 2 starts. It occurs to me that Esther might have wanted the baby sacrificed because that would have been enough power to exchange to resurrect Esther. People keep saying that Joseph Morgan said that what happened to the Other Side will spread to New Orleans in Season 2. If that's true, then like Markos on TVD, Esther could have been someone who was resurrected even though she shouldn't have been, initiating a problem in Limbo. Three witches were killed before Esther and Finn popped up, but I think she wanted the baby for a reason. She was too powerful to just resurrect after the death of a normal witch, or even a Harvest girl. She was resurrected in Cassie's body, but that doesn't mean that she'll be limited to whatever Cassie would be able to do. If she brought Finn back in the body of another dead witch, then Esther is definitely more powerful than any teenage girl. I don't see how the spirits would approve of her behavior, much less help her with it. They wouldn't get fooled twice after what Celeste pulled. Maybe Esther gave up on having control of a coven. If she can't have their support, she's going to want to free herself from those demanding spirits.

I have some questions: How could Esther come back? Didn't she have to pass Bonnie? Can witches keep coming back, now the other side is gone? And don't you think, the series could be more interesting with more flash backs? Maybe about human Mikelsons or how they found out they can turn people? Or heal people?

Question: Now that the "Other Side" blinked out of existence, what are the implications for those stakes that can be dipped in white oak ash to put an Original in a coffin? Do they still work? If so, does that mean the spirit of the staked Original stays bound to its body and never went roaming on the Other Side?

She was consecrated on the NO Witches' grounds before the fall I think which seems to be it's own 'pocket' afterlife. I imagine that the TVD 'Other Side' was just the general supernatural afterlife but since Witches seem to be the root, they can create their own like what NO has to pass on ancestral magic/use as a power source. Her kids did her a favor by consecrating her as it moved her to a safe place where she could once again meddle and plot the demise of her children.

I'm still having a problem adjusting to the new Originals. They just seem so out of character or is that the whole point. Finn and Kol seem to have traded personalities. Finn was quite and rarely said a word. Now he's outspoken and in your face all the time. Is it because he's a witch and he feels empowered by having powers? You'd think he would've felt stronger being a invincible vampire. Kol: this version is very low key and quiet whereas Nate's version was the life of the party. Basically a mini version of Klaus, but a little bit more unpredictable. It just doesn't feel right. I keep hoping that we'll get the "originals" back for the "real" family reunion especially when Esther and Mikael come face to face. I fear that may not happen now that Nate is getting his own web series. This Esther seems over the top. Since Esther is this all powerful witch is there any way she could bring the boys back to their original bodies? Can anyone be a werewolf on here on do they have to be born a werewolf? I forget the werewolf mythology on this one. Slash I get my shows mixed up with TW and Being Human. It's not like where you get bitten and have an Alpha like Scott on TW. Or you get scratched like Josh on BH? I think from one of our previous conversations you mentioned that you had watched BH at one time. I don't know if you noticed the similarities to the names on here and that show and reverse of species. Josh was a werewolf and Aiden was the vampire. On here it's the opposite. Josh the vampire and Aidan the werewolf! I didn't realized it until I read other fans comments after the episode. It made me miss them and their friendship. I know it had it's hit and miss moments, but the friendships on the show were my favorite thing. I couldn't resist posting this. It's probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire series! Best Josh and Aiden moment!

TO/TVD's Werewolf mythology and being one is a family/bloodline thing. Can't pass it on by bite/scratch, has to be in your lineage/ancestors. Most other series seem to take a middle ground (both) or go scratch/bite. I know Underworld and the Mercy Thompson series use scratch/bite but it's stressed at times that not everyone survives and is killed in the process. UW takes a virus approach (if I remember) and MT, you have to survive being ravished by a Werewolf so that's a bit more on the extreme end.
TO/TVD is pretty much if you descend from a pack, kill a human and enjoy your new life.
