I don't know, i don't really enjoy this show as much as I once did. I feel like even though they have plenty stories to tell, it always feels like it's the same one, in one way or another.
Emma going dark seemed like a good opportunity to spice things up, but even that seem's blah at this point. Maybe it's cause they've teased it so much. You know in last season, how every second episode was about Emma going dark.
I think the only thing I'm at interested at this point are the swords being combined. The Dark one's blade and the sword from the stone.

I havn't rewatched any series this summer, but gave quite a few different other shows a try. OUAT was one of them and I really like the show...I am actually up to date with it, so I watched the season 5 premiere shortly after US air date. Very good show. On a sidenote ... my fav character is Rumple aka Mr. Gold. Robert Carlyle I know from other movies and he is a tremendously good actor. HE NAILS IT!!!

Once Upon a Time’: Is Arthur really the hero to pull Excalibur from the stone? Dark Swan’s (Jennifer Morrison) motives are becoming a little clearer on “Once Upon a Time.” Now the Savior turned Dark One is on a mission to reattach the Dark One dagger to Excalibur and free herself from the remaining strings tethering her to the light. Unfortunately aligning with legend, the Dark One doesn’t have the righteousness necessary to re-extract Excalibur from its stone. A hero will have to do it. It the story books, it is Arthur (Liam Garrigan) that is the only person of pulling Excalibur from the stone — but the Arthur currently stranded in Storybrooke seems far from the hero worthy of such a task. While Emma’s mission becomes clearer, it’s become equally cloudy as to exactly what Arthur and Guinevere’s (Joana Metrass) hope to achieve. In Sunday’s (Oct. 4) episode, “The Price,” the Camelot flashbacks show Guinevere having reservations about the Storybrooke citizens trying to free Merlin. Arthur assures her that helping them will help them be the ones to reunite the Dark One dagger with Excalibur and preserve everything they’ve “worked so hard for.” The secret meeting raises a red flag about what Arthur’s true intentions are, and the dangers if he is to succeed in reuniting the two swords. It seems important to note that he and Guinevere were much more interested in repairing the dagger than freeing Merlin from the tree. Possession of a fully intact Excalibur seems to be the important end goal of the Camelot half of this “Once Upon a Time” season — but who is willing, and righteous enough, to pay the price to make it happen? The episode was really good! I like the SL of Merida and I wans't expecting that ending! The finale was the best part I want to know what happen and how or why Emma is now so dark! I hope Gold is good! I also want to know what the hell happend to him! Do you guys rememeber the episode Skin Deep (1x12)! Belle kissed Rumple and she stopped the curse of the Dark One so I'm wondering? What if Hook just kiss Emma??? I loved the premiere! I was very happy with Merida and look forward to more of her story. I think they did a great job with the casting of her character. I also liked how they worked Rumple in to the story as well because I was worried we wouldn't see much of him since Gold is in a coma. Plus you know me I prefer the EF Rumple  even though right now he is being the little devil on Emma's shoulder!  Looks like you called it with Hook going for true love's kiss. That scene was so sad for me at his reaction of it not breaking the curse. We know him though and he won't give up till they bring Emma back. I'm looking forward to more with Excalibur. I'm not too sure I really trust Arthur and Guinevere 100%. I love that Regina is trying so hard to be the savior for everyone. I loved these scenes with Belle:    You know I'm no Charming fan, but I did think it was cute of him trying to teach Regina how to waltz although I still found it hard a little hard to believe that she never learned how?  I loved the ballroom scene with all the couples dancing! .gif) Here's somewhat of a vague answer to your question about Rumple: For Once Upon a Time, are we going to find out how different Mr. Gold is without the darkness inside of him? — Dina“That gets explored,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “When the Darkness is removed from his heart, and if he gets out of that coma and doesn’t die, which is always a possibility, I would say that he should be a different person. moshe12 I'm so glad you finally got into the show!  Robert is an incredible actor! He does a great job making you love Rumple one minute and hating him the next. At the moment I'm more of a EF Rumple fan because of certain events that Mr. Gold did to my favorite pirate last season.  I just thought I'd share a few of my favorite Rumple scenes that happen to be with my favorite couple. The S3 finale is probably my favorite episode of the series. Hard to imagine why. The look on Emma's face is priceless when she comes face to face with Rumple for the first time. Rumple cracks me up talking about why he hasn't killed Hook yet and then how he talks to Belle and him falling for the help!  Rumple playing fairy godmother to Capt. Swan and him talking to them like they are idiots!
