I thought that scene of Klaus/Haley/Hope was a dream. Anyway, from reading Daniel Gillies comments in the Alloy article, it sounds like Elijah will help Haley be freed from her curse and that he's hopelessly in love still. My imagining of the finale and future seasons do NOT include Elijah/Haley, not for awhile anyway. This probably means Jackson is going to die. It's all set up, Haley declaring her love for him and the pack as her family. This way both are nobly freed from their partners. Unless they go for a triangle! Boo, hiss... Oy, enough with the daggering of each other if that's the plan for Bekah. I'd prefer to have Maisie stick around. You're probably right about this one wednesday. I do like the title of this episode, and how both Rebekah and Elijah talk about the destruction the Original family leaves in their wake. But hey, we wouldn't love them if they didn't, right? If it is a dream, who's is it? I still say ugh about Elijah and Hayley! and Boo hiss! I guess they're going to keep the wolves around somehow according to the interview. What else are they going to do with them though? They've pretty much played that story to death. Is Hayley going to trudge through the bayou with them or are they going to follow her around the compound like her guard dogs. I mean really what else are they going to do? It's boring. Even the Guerrera family was more interesting at this point and that's saying something. I am curious to see what they will do with Maise? Eva is gone. She won't be Rebekah. Who will she be? Dahlia or Esther if she body jumps? I don't think I'd like that. I want her to be a nice person like Rebekah. What are they going to do with Freya? The title is definitely interesting for sure! Those sneak peeks are very telling. Davina you poor girl! You have no idea who you're dealing with! She fell in love with Kaleb the witch, not Kol the vampire. I don't think she really has a clue how bad he was. He certainly never told her what did he nor did any of the others? If she knew I don't think she'd be so gung-ho to bring him back. I almost laughed when she told Vincent he's nothing like them. I actually think he might be worse! He's certainly a mini version of Klaus that's for sure! Kol was ruthless. Klaus had to dagger him a few times to stop him from his killing sprees. Vincent is right though, when push comes to shove he will side with this family because he did in the end this time around. All he ever wanted was to be loved by his siblings and Davina saw that first hand when he was dying. I don't know what makes her think he would abandon them now that he knows that they really did love him. Would Kol come back as a witch or a vampire? Davina can only bring back one person right? If they need Esther's blood to defeat Dahlia do you think Davina will have a change of heart at the last minute and bring her back to defeat her so they can save Hope? They can't defeat her otherwise without Esther's help? Unless there's something else to Klaus's plan that we don't know about. Did Klaus ever give Davina Kol's ashes? I can't remember?

The Originals: Daniel Gillies previews a 'Shakespearean apocalypse'When we first met Elijah Mikaelson on The Vampire Diaries, he was looking for a way to kill his brother, the infamous NiKlaus Mikaelson. And he came very close to doing just that. But at the last second, with the promise of a family reunion, Elijah decided to let his brother live. Jump forward to The Originals, and we learn that this brotherhood has been filled with a lifelong pattern of betrayal, forgiveness, and more generally, family loyalty. But when Klaus killed Gia in front of Eiljah in season 2’s penultimate episode, it’s possible he finally took things one step too far. “There’s got to be a point at which the writers have to acknowledge the compound interest of all of these offenses. They need to mean something. I think that that’s the place that we’re approaching,” Daniel Gillies said. “I honestly think that we’re getting to a point where it is unforgivable. I would like to see him not get past it. My girlfriend can’t quite literally go up in flames in front of me, and then [Elijah and Klaus] resume the relationship.” That being said, Elijah doesn’t exactly have time to cut his brother out of his life right now. With Dahlia’s attack on the horizon, Elijah will be forced to work with Klaus one last time. “Gia was just sort of a casualty thrown under the bus in the name of Klaus’ smoke and mirrors, but I think in order to defeat Dahlia, he’s going to have to relinquish whatever feelings he has towards that treachery and just move forward, because Dahlia is certainly an enormous threat to them all.” At this point in the season, fans have gotten a glimpse of the type of threat Dahlia poses to the family. But Gillies described the finale as the perfect “straight right cross” to follow the penultimate episode’s “jab.” Yes, those are boxing terms. Specifically, he said, “I can’t say enough good things about the absolutely sinister performance delivered by Claudia Black. She’s brought a whole new dimension to the show.” As for what she does in the finale, Gillies said it’s “nothing short of a Shakespearean apocalypse.” So what does one do after an apocalypse? Is there any way for the Original family to walk away from this fight unscathed? The short answer: No. “I truly think that they are beyond redemption,” Gillies said. “I think that Elijah, being perhaps the most analytical one of the family of who they are and what they represent in their universe, knows that. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t think that they can live good and just lives. He’s not saying without hope; he’s saying that nothing can wash us clean from what we have done. We’ve done the most terrible things to each other, to our enemies, to those that loved us. No amount of goodness can take it away.” For Gillies, The Originals is not a story of redemption at all. “They are monsters,” he said. “I don’t think it’s redemption they’re seeking; I think that they need to be at peace with the fact that that’s what they are, and then continue. Their definition of morality had to shift when they became what they became. When you become this creature that has to survive by ultimately sort of cannibalizing others, your morality barometer has to be significantly disproportionate to whatever a human barometer of morality is.” That being said, “just because someone says we’re beyond redemption doesn’t mean that they can’t live good lives,” Gillies said. “But they can never remove the centuries of vile behavior, certainly by human standards.” The Originals finale airs Monday, May 11 at 8 p.m. on The CW. www.ew.com/article/2015/05/07/originals-daniel-gillies-previews-shakespearean-apocalypse

I'm behind on commenting wednesday, taken down by a virus the last few days. So the dream: initially I thought it was a dream b/c it looked like the safe house. No idea why after watching the promo again, noticing all the wood piled up. Then I wondered why the happy family tableu with Klaus/Haley/Hope after what Klaus and Haley did to each other. ?? So that was my scattered logic for a dream sequence although no idea who would actually want Klaus/Haley together. What WILL they do with the wolves now?? It's a cute idea that Hope will be brought up with wolf protectors but you don't need a whole pack for that. There must be an intrigue brewing for next year with an all out species war again, now that the witches are solidified behind Davina (as long as she doesn't blow herself up ). Lol, Davina is so in over her head. I think Kol will come back as a witch since that was his state when he died. Back to another post, Vincent seems like a stand-up guy. What he told Davina about wanting to retire from the witchy business might be all there is behind him pushing the regency on her. I'm still curious why he's hanging around, watching what she's up to. No where else to go? I like him, want to see him next year. Davina will need a mentor for sure. Good question about Davina bringing back Esther. I do feel like the sisters are meant to come together again after centuries, that the primary story right now is theirs. Freya's a pawn and like all good pawns, she's a likely sacrifice. What do you think?

What do you think? I hope you get to feeling better. I'm still confused about the whole Hayley and Klaus thing too. I'm wondering if Hayley is going to be so quick to forgive Klaus after what he just did to the wolves even if it was to trick Dahlia. Who would want Hayley and Klaus together? Are you referring as like a couple? Trust me there are people who actually ship them and think they are soulmates! I just don't see it, but to each their own. I was never really a big Klaroline shipper, but I think she brought out the best in him and whenever the show does end I would love to see Caroline show up for him. Hope with wolf protectors. If it were up to Klaus he'd probably have Jackson running around being one of them! Talk about torture. Hayley can't really be WITH her husband, but she can always have him around her. That would be something sick Klaus would do to them. I hope we'll be done with the whole war of the species. They said that they'll be wrapping stories up this season so I wonder if that will be it or if they were just referring to the whole Dahlia/Freya SL. Yeah poor Davina is in over her little head for sure. It does seem odd that Vincent is just hanging around. Maybe he just wants to make sure she'll be ok now that he's turned that kind of power over to her. I hope he doesn't have some kind of evil agenda. Been there done that. I'd like to see him stick around as a mentor to her. As for Kol, if she's bringing him back in Nate's body he died a vampire. So wouldn't he come back as one? Or would they stick with him as a witch since that's what Kaleb was? Will it make a difference because they were different bodies and different species! That will be interesting!!! You'd think the sisters would have a big showdown since they're been talking about them for so long and they do need to have Esther's blood to defeat her. But Davina can only bring one person back! How is that going to work? She wants Kol, the others need Esther? This is going to be interesting!!! I can't wait!!

Tomorrow!!! Season finale !!! Well at least for USA, for me it is Tuesday morning or evening, I need this to end now, so I can regenerate my nerves and go into my annual rehab from TVD and now also TO. I want to see Klaus and Cami as a couple, that is if he ever let's a woman that close to him and commits finally, him and his trust issues, but he trusts Cami and he wants to protect her, what he doesn't realize is, that she is already so involved in all this mess, that it is too late for her to withdraw. For Elijah I see no true happiness in the future, at least not with that idiot Hayley, please spare me that!!! I hope you all enjoy the show my friends wednesday @dman24 and jennifer... we will talk on Monday or Tuesday again. Cheers and have a nice rest weekend!!!

You may have hit the nail on the head with Klaus keeping them as wolves permanently. Oh, and you're right about Nate. I guess I'm theoried out and need to see that finale!

jennifer and moshe12 I'm conflicted. I'm not really sure how I felt about this. What did y'all think? Well I do know 2 things I didn't like. BOTH Rebekahs leaving town. I had a feeling it was going to happen since both of the actresses have new shows they will be working on, but at least they left us with the option where we can have the best of both! I really like Maise. To me she has the best chemistry with Marcel. I don't like that we didn't get Kol back at all! They tricked us by having him in the credits on IMDB. Why even bother listing him? At least they left it open where Rebekah is still searching for a way to bring him back.

I was so confused by Alice Evans coming back from the dead with a different face and hair that I missed most of the interaction between she and Dahlia in their big moment. I thought maybe they gave Alice credit as the one who rose up in the bath, then inserted another actress in. A web search proved me wrong! The first part worked better than the second part, which was choppy. It seemed a little bland for a finale, moving chess pieces around to set up next season. Hope needs to find a new family. I laughed out loud at Klaus toting the baby bucket 'round to the bar in search of a babysitter. I suppose compelling the other patrons away was an indication he takes his fatherly duties seriously. It was better than leaving her out in the clearing with three unconscious adults. Hmm...more tomorrow when I'm not tired.
