jennifer and moshe12 I'm conflicted. I'm not really sure how I felt about this. What did y'all think? Well I do know 2 things I didn't like. BOTH Rebekahs leaving town. I had a feeling it was going to happen since both of the actresses have new shows they will be working on, but at least they left us with the option where we can have the best of both! I really like Maise. To me she has the best chemistry with Marcel. I don't like that we didn't get Kol back at all! They tricked us by having him in the credits on IMDB. Why even bother listing him? At least they left it open where Rebekah is still searching for a way to bring him back. I was so confused by Alice Evans coming back from the dead with a different face and hair that I missed most of the interaction between she and Dahlia in their big moment. I thought maybe they gave Alice credit as the one who rose up in the bath, then inserted another actress in. A web search proved me wrong! The first part worked better than the second part, which was choppy. It seemed a little bland for a finale, moving chess pieces around to set up next season. Hope needs to find a new family. I laughed out loud at Klaus toting the baby bucket 'round to the bar in search of a babysitter. I suppose compelling the other patrons away was an indication he takes his fatherly duties seriously. It was better than leaving her out in the clearing with three unconscious adults. Hmm...more tomorrow when I'm not tired. You didn't recognize Alice? Well she did just wake from a very deep slumber! She did look a bit different than the last time we saw her though didn't she! That's what I thought! I guess bland is a good word for it! Last week felt more like a finale. I guess we're use to the finales being more dramatic and last year's was more dramatic for sure! This did resolve a lot of problems I suppose, but it went out with more of a whimper than with a bang. I'm glad that Elijah wasn't so quick to forgive Klaus. Klaus thought he'd just murder Gia and curse Hayley all in the name of saving family and all will be forgiven. Elijah has forgiven him for every other heinous crime he's done so Klaus figured why should this be any different. He honestly thought they'd all be one big happy family with his 2 sisters helping him raise Hope and Elijah at his side. He really is insane. I think Cami needs her head examined too. Vincent's right, they do need more alcohol! I really like him and am glad he's sticking around. Maybe he can make Davina likable again. I didn't mind her in the past, but they're making her a brat right now and I don't like that. Hopefully they'll do something else with her next season because she's starting to sound a lot like Tyler with his "I hate Klaus" speech. Although in her defense she does have every right to do so, they just need to do something with her character besides rant and rave every episode or she's going to sound like a female Klaus going on a tangent! Did it seem odd having Claire back? I read some comments on other sites and people said it felt like she wasn't quite herself. Maybe it's because she's been gone so long and we've gotten use to Maise being around now? I really like her so if Claire did stay away I'd be ok with it. I mean it was nice to see the 3 Originals back together, but it all felt rushed. Is the white oak stake really gone now that Dahlia turned it into ash? They can't get it back right? So there isn't any threat of anyone taking them out anymore? That was the only thing that could kill any of them and it's gone or did I miss something? It was nice to see Esther finally sacrifice herself to save all her children after she tried to kill them for so long! The scene where Dahlia and Esther were embracing each other was really cool. It reminded me of Interview with a Vampire. I bet JP stole that idea from that movie. I know I wasn't the only one upset about Kol not being brought back. People said they were tired of being "pleced"! I thought that term was funny! I'm hoping they keep Hayley in wolf form for awhile so we don't have to see Elijah pine after her. It did make me want to seeing him with her. I just hope they don't solve it in one episode. I wonder how much time will have passed when the show returns. How will things be between Elijah and Klaus? I hope Elijah makes Klaus suffer. That was funny with Klaus at the bar. We know exactly how seriously he takes his fatherly duties! Can't wait to hear more of your thoughts. Yours to moshe12 if you can stay awake this time!

First things first, I didn't fall asleep because it was boring, I was just so damned tired. I woke up at 2:30 and live streamed the last 20 minutes. but all the ads made me sleepy... I will give it 5/5 points, it wasn't an epic season finale, the penultimate episode was epic, in means of battle, blood. BUT i loved it. Klaus and Cami ...aahhh bliss if he could cross his shadow, my God he is so shy when it comes to her, they love each other... Klaus' onelines are epic " I guess we are all orphans now" LMFAO I was glad they cast the real Esther for the episode. The actress that played Dahlia did a good job, menacing she was...but good that she is gone. Vincent is quickly becoming my fav witch/wizard/his girl Friday... whatever you would want to call him...I loved that conversation with Cami and his..."We'll need another bottle" I am tired of the Bex bodyshopping business, either stay or go. I love Bex and I love her with Marcel. OK Davina needs to go, she is a pain in the ass. She is so annoying and the actress is starting to bore me, she always does the same face. And all this Kol drama of hers is unnerving me...she met the guy like a few times, Vincent please take back your witchcraft and Davina STFU. Hayley needs to die, she is a thorn in my side. I can't stand her!!!!! wednesday this is a bad news for you, but I am starting to hate Elijah, I guess it has to do with Hayley, he is an idiot, so what is he going to do, go and live with the furry wolves...duh!!! I was super annoyed with his displayal of grief towards Gia nd then in the end he had nothing better to do than meet wolf girl in the dark...Omg BARF!!! I loked the last minutes when Klaus was rocking his kiddie and telling the "fairy tale". Ok I have to have mý coming out now, I am officially #TeamKlaus ...he is my fav character and my super dream villain, I love him. Need a break from both shows now, looking very forward to season 3. I need to see what developments there will be between Klaus and Marcel. Cheers!!!

moshe12 I can always count on you for brutal honesty! I'll post my response tomorrow. Nice post btw! Check out the spoilers for S3 in the spoilers thread. Should be interesting and frightening at the same time. When I say frightening, I mean can they actually pull off a new big bad and new mythology.

Yours to moshe12 if you can stay awake this time! Re Alice, I didn't realize how much of a difference a wig makes. That was good to see Esther sacrifice herself. Who knew she had that in her? Having the sisters go to the meadow oversimplified their complicated relationship. The show was right to move away from the parents/aunt though, and put the focus back on the siblings. I like Vincent as much as you two do. Cami was right on the money telling him he's shirking his duties by turning over the regency to a teenage girl. I was glad to read in the spoiler section that we'll learn more about him next season, his past, why he's reluctant to be a witch. He and Cami will be good for each other as friends. I hope he realizes Davina is slowly becoming a crazy person and he needs to take his rightful place as regent. I can't blame Davina; how many times can a girl be Mikaelsoned before she loses it? Also from the spoilers: a new mythology next year? Do we have to? They honored Gia properly with several moments and references to her. As Elijah looked at the horror of her body, it reminded me how much he's seen, what immortality truly means: too many losses for a mortal to comprehend. He feels them, too. Elijah hasn't allowed himself to become numb. You know, I didn't get the feeling Elijah was pining for Haley so much as he considers her family. What Klaus did to her got included in his pile of 'beyond redemption' actions. I want Haley freed immediately so Hope has a decent caregiver, but it sounds like Freya will have that role when next season starts. ARGH! I so wanted a baby to change the dynamics of the Mickaelsons - and ultimately I think Hope will be a key to Klaus' slow arc of redemption - but she's become a plot device. How can Rebekah leave her so easily? Speaking of Rebekah, I prefer Maisie now. Partially because she and Marcel are cute together. I need my head examined too, because no matter what Klaus does, I end up forgiving his deluded self. I don't love him as much as you do moshe12 but I also find him hard to hate completely. He's such a unique character, like Katherine was. Those don't come around very often. Well, so another season gone. I feel like you moshe, ready for a break from both shows.

Yes it was hard for me to admit it, but that is what I meant with my coming out, I do love him, I think I watch this show meanwhile because I need my Klaus/JoMo fix ... I find it difficult to understand where I stand right now. wednesday would know what I mean, I adored Elijah from TVD season 2 episode 8 spot on from the moment he appeared, but I am sad to say that Elijah has lost much of his enigmatic portrayal or character for me, he has lost alot of his mystery and fascination, at least for me he does...with Klaus on the other hand...I have hated him with a passion since season 2 of TVD straight up until somewhere between season 3 and 4 and the actor is doing such a terrific job that he has won me over, I will say this, I am now used to Klaus' tantrums and fits and screaming and shouting since how many years But Elijah screaming is putting me off and I am sad. It is all Hayley's fault booohhooo!!! No joke aside, I cannot digest the sight of Elijah and Hayley together, it is giving me the collywobbles. THIS COMES FROM MY DEEP HATRED FOR HAYLEY SINCE THE BEGINNING and it grew very rooted after the betrayal of Ty and his Hybrids in TVD season 4. I will never be able to forgive her that and she was also indirectly responsible for the murder of Carol Lockwood

Oh and I might as well add that I agree that I prefer Maisie as well, because I got used to her, she is acting fine and just as beautiful as Claire Holt and has better chemistry with Marcel, but now they are both gone with the wind Surprise surprise !!! We now have sister Freya instead...no use complaining...we will have to get used to her, both Bexes can only appear in future as guest stars. And Freya is now sereies regular. See how the wheel of fortune rises and falls Maybe I need a shrink as well jennifer wednesday ... who knows. I know only one thing, after the DVD price falls I will purchase season 2 as well and watch on my beautiful TV screen ...but for now I have season 1

Oh my dear moshe12 you have a way with words! "His girl Friday" and my personal favorite "collywobbles"! I get where you're coming from with Elijah I really do. I can't believe I actually shipped him with Hayley at one time. It's funny how JP can make you turn on a dime and despise a character so quickly. She certainly has a gift in that aspect doesn't she. I despised Klaus with a passion of a thousand suns until he started having scenes with Caroline. I loathed him for what he did to Stefan. I later ended up actually liking his scenes with Stefan too so Joseph does have a talent for making him a sympathetic character. He did make it more difficult for me this time around for doing what he did to Gia. I had really come to like her mainly because she was a big distraction for Elijah. He really cared about her and it was refreshing not to see him pining over Hayley so that's why I was such a big fans of hers. Plus they had great chemistry and she brought out a fun side of Elijah that we never got to see! She actually made him smile!! You NEVER see that and who knows if we ever will again in the near future so I'm still really miffed at the writers for taking her out. jennifer I'm glad you got the impression that he wasn't pining for Hayley because that would've really pissed me off. He seemed genuinely distraught over Gia. I know Marcel certainly was. He does consider Hayley family too because she is Hope's mother and he loves the baby. He sees that as the only decent thing that's ever come from Klaus. I hate that I can't stand Hayley anymore. I'd finally come to like her on this show and the writers went and screwed it up! I hope it will somehow change since we're going to be stuck with her. I don't mind Freya. Like moshe12 said we better get use to her. It will be interesting to see her try to bond with the brothers. Klaus didn't want to have anything to do with her or trust her and now he's so quick to have her help raise his daughter. Interesting indeed. Yep, I prefer Maise. I never thought I'd say that, but Claire just didn't seem to fit for some reason. At least not in present day. She seems to work better in the FB's to me. What do y'all think? I'm hoping her show fails so she'll come back! Isn't that terrible! Maybe Rebekah will meet someone while she's a human and have a baby! They could do a big time jump! That would be perfect! It would have to be a whirlwind romance or a one night stand! Either could work. jennifer I'm surprised Rebekah was so quick to leave Hope as well, but with both actresses schedules they really didn't have a choice I guess. Yusuf is an amazing actor. To go from making me despise him as Finn and then to love him as Vincent! I'm looking forward to his backstory and also his friendship with Cami. Speaking of Cami. I really wish they'd give her something else to do outside of Klaus. That's been a lot of people's complaint about her this season. All she's really done is try to counsel the Mikaelson family. Last season she had friends and she was working on her family legacy and all of that seems to have disappeared. They need to give her more to do. Y'all are really big fans of her and Klaus? I don't know if I really see the chemistry between them? Where you fans of him with Caroline? What do you think the new mythology will be about? I'm actually nervous because they haven't had any luck in that department and that's been pretty evident on TVD for the past 2 years. They've changed it and it hasn't made any sense and I think they just make it up as they go along. What else is there besides vampires, werewolves, and witches on this show? Are they going to start borrowing stories from SPN because there is a whole other world of spn beings out there if they're going down that road. It will be interesting to see what happens between Klaus and Marcel. He saved Klaus, but I think it was more out of self preservation because he told Davina they would fight another day. I wonder what they're going to do about Finn? Freya is still wearing him around her neck. Is that going to come up between everyone? I don't think JP will let them bring Kol back. I think that was pretty evident in the finale. I'm starting to believe those rumors about her animosity towards Nate. About the promo for this episode, they didn't show the scene of Hayley and Klaus sitting outside with Hope. Was that ever filmed? Also Elijah told Klaus he was beyond redemption, Klaus told someone they had a sister to save and an Auntie to send to hell. I don't remember any of that in the episode. Do y'all? I think I've just about covered it! We probably will need a shrink after everything they've put us through this season! I won't ever love a villain as much as I loved Katherine! She was one in a million! I still miss her!

I think I've just about covered it! We probably will need a shrink after everything they've put us through this season! I won't ever love a villain as much as I loved Katherine! She was one in a million! I still miss her! I have never been a fan of caroline and Klaus, she is far too immature for him, and I wasn't a big fan of their sex scene either. Caro and Klaus is never gonna happen. And back in those days she was together with Ty. I liked Forwood. Cami ... Claire Holt I perceived as there, but not there in the season finale. You know what I want to express...

wednesday - I was thinking the same thing about Maisie-Rebekah getting pregnant when she told Marcel she was keeping her options open. (Btw, starting to wonder if it's a genetic trait for Mickaelsons to carry coffins around.) Beware you two: I'll definitely be complaining about sister Freya. Probably 4 months from now I'll give her a chance. I'm flexible that way. I know what you mean about Claire in the finale moshe12. It was a nice touch to have the three original siblings from TVD together as Esther finally died. Other than that, Claire's return wasn't significant. Maisie got the best Rebekah scene of the ep. at the end. I've had fun talking about The Originals wednesday and moshe! Looking forward to another season...
