Orphan Black Season 4: 'Horrifying' Twist Will Pit Sarah vs. Her SistersThe first Orphan Black Season 4 spoilers have been unleashed, and here’s the major takeaway: A new adversary will send Sarah in a “horrifying” new direction — fracturing the “sisterhood” in the process. Per a just-released BBC America press release… Season 4 of the drama will see leader-of-the-pack, Sarah, reluctantly return home from her Icelandic hideout to track down an elusive and mysterious ally tied to the clone who started it all — Beth Childs. Sarah will follow Beth’s footsteps into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, heading in a horrifying new direction. Under constant pressure to protect the sisterhood and keep everyone safe, Sarah’s old habits begin to resurface. As the close-knit sisters are pulled in disparate directions, Sarah finds herself estranged from the loving relationships that changed her for the better. The BBC bulletin also announced that Canadian actor Joel Thomas Hynes is joining the cast as Dizzy, an edgy, self-reliant hacker who doesn’t conform to group mentality. Production on Season 4 is currently underway ahead of a Spring 2016 premiere. tvline.com/2015/09/28/orphan-black-season-4-spoilers-sarah-versus-sisters/#more-645386

Exclusive intel and photos of the newest Orphan Black clone
Orphan Black (April, BBC America)
It seems every time the clone sestras find answers about how and why they exist, those answers only lead to more questions. But Sarah, Cosima, Alison, and Helena may have a new source — if they can just get this person to unmask herself. Season 4 will see the introduction of a mysterious new clone who wears a sheep mask and goes by the name of M.K. (and is played, like all the other clones, by Tatiana Maslany). “She’s very paranoid,” says co-creator/director John Fawcett. “She knows more than Sarah does, so she knows how dangerous the whole thing is.” –Dalton Ross Season 4 of Orphan Black (which will premiere in April 2016 on BBC America in the U.S. and Space in Canada) will see the introduction of a brand-new clone shrouded in mystery who goes by the name of M.K. (and is played, like all the other clones, by Tatiana Maslany). She has vital information, but getting her to share it is another matter altogether. We spoke to co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson to get the scoop on the new addition. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Okay, gentlemen: What can you say about this new clone?GRAEME MANSON: Her name is M.K. A mysterious name for a mysterious character. JOHN FAWCETT: We’re excited about this new character because it really has been fun unpacking and unveiling this story of this slightly traumatized clone who has a deep past. MANSON: Yeah, she comes out of the shadows and for the first time we’re meeting someone who knows more than us. Sarah is meeting a clone who has got more answers than she does, and yet she’s a slippery character. FAWCETT: And very elusive. And quite highly skilled and very smart. And it is interesting as Sarah tries to interact with this character who is almost kind of like a Deep Throat kind of character. What’s very cool about it is this is a clone who has been self-aware for some time. MANSON: Yeah, for longer than any of us. FAWCETT: And is helpful in some ways to Sarah, but there is a little bit of a dangerous side to M.K. as well. So she is this really fun new character that we’re going to see in season 4. And when you say she’s a little mysterious is this due to the fact that doesn’t trust anyone, or is it because her intentions and motivation are a little unclear, or is it both?
FAWCETT: It’s a little bit of both. She’s very paranoid. She’s very security conscious. She knows more than Sarah does so she knows how dangerous the whole thing is. She’s purposefully avoided contact with the sisters to keep herself safe, and Sarah is now trying to draw her out of the shadows and trying to utilize the information that she has so that Sarah can follow her own mystery and fill in the blanks and protect Alison and protect Cosima from Neolution. But this girl is very unwilling. MANSON: Yeah, she’s a reluctant source. So what do you want to say about the sheep mask?MANSON: You get it? FAWCETT: Dolly the sheep. MANSON: We had a lot of fun going through masks to figure this one out. We saw about 5,000 masks. FAWCETT: We wanted it to be spooky but kind of childlike at the same time. We wanted a little balance. The new season premieres in April on BBC America in the U.S. and on Space in Canada — www.ew.com/article/2015/12/28/orphan-black-tatiana-maslany-season-4-new-clone

See a new clone come to life in Orphan Black teaser
The latest member of the club — played by Tatiana Maslany, of course — is M.K., whom Orphan Black co-creator John Fawcett describes as “a slightly traumatized clone who has a deep past” and “a Deep Throat kind of character.” “She comes out of the shadows and for the first time we’re meeting someone who knows more than us,” co-creator Graeme Manson told EW. “Sarah is meeting a clone who has got more answers than she does, and yet she’s a slippery character.” www.ew.com/article/2015/12/28/orphan-black-new-clone-teaser-space

Orphan Black: The Clones Go Down a Rabbit Hole in Season 4 Teaser
Who knew Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland could sound so disturbing? In the newest teaser for Orphan Black‘s fourth season, released by BBC America on Wednesday, Sarah, Helena and the rest of the Clone Club recite one of Lewis Carroll’s most famous passages — in which Alice falls down the infamous rabbit hole — and they put a really creepy spin on it. While the sestras talk, we see glimpses of their harrowing journey thus far, as well as a disconcerting image of Kira’s stuffed monkey. (Not even the toys are safe this season!) SPOILER:
Question: Is the business with the male clones pretty much over with on Orphan Black? —LaShawnaAusiello: Even though Rudy and several of his brothers died, executive producer Graeme Manson warns, “We’re not finished with our male clones. Mark’s still out there, and Ari Millen’s still in the cast for Season 4, I guarantee.” And with the last surviving Castor clone (that we know of) having earned Sarah’s trust, the question becomes, “If we can find our own cure, can we cure Mark? Is that a possibility for next season? Is Mark the one brother who’s earned the right to call himself a brother?” tvline.com/2016/01/22/greys-anatomy-owens-sister-nathan-riggs-transgender-season-12/#more-676515

Orphan Black - Renewed For Fifth And Final Season
Some news Clone Club has been waiting for: BBC AMERICA announced the renewal of its award-winning original series Orphan Black for a fifth and final season. The drama starring Tatiana Maslany has been re-commissioned for a 10-episode order from Temple Street and is slated to air in 2017. The series has been hailed as “thoroughly impressive, wildly entertaining” by The Hollywood Reporter, and as “a singular accomplishment in drama” by The Daily Beast. Sarah Barnett, President of BBC AMERICA, stated, “Orphan Black is a thrilling, genre-bending ride that has captured our fans’ imaginations and hearts like no other show. Our genius team of actors, writers and producers have, time after time, taken us to a place of awe, delight and utter shock and surprise. Tatiana has been and continues to be a complete revelation, hers is one of the most remarkable performances on television, and she is joined by an extraordinary cast. We can’t wait to take our incredibly passionate audience on one final gobsmacking clone adventure.” Co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson stated: “We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters. The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC AMERICA and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high.” “When we embarked upon this journey with John and Graeme, we knew we had something special on our hands, but didn’t imagine how deeply it would resonate with audiences and the worldwide acclaim it would receive. We are truly in awe of Tatiana who, each season, pulls off the impossible and brings each clone and their unique personalities to life in an extraordinarily captivating way,” said David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, Executive Producers of Orphan Black and Co-Presidents of Boat Rocker Studios. “We are so proud of the cast and crew, who will be on this final ride with us as we draw the Orphan Black story to a close, and extremely thankful to our partners at BBC America and Space for their continued support, as well as the legions of fans who have made these five seasons possible”. The series has received considerable critical and award attention. It earned a Peabody Award in 2014, and lead actress Tatiana Maslany has received a 2015 Emmy nomination for Best Actress, two Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Actress, a TCA Award for Individual Achievement, a Young Hollywood Award, a Gracie Award, two Canadian Screen Awards and Golden Globe®, SAG and People’s Choice nominations. Orphan Black's Final Season Will Put You Through the 'Happy/Sad Wringer'
The end is near for Orphan Black, and neither Tatiana Maslany, Tatiana Maslany, Tatiana Maslany nor Tatiana Maslany are happy about it. Visiting Michael Ausiello — for the last time? — at TVLine’s Comic-Con studio presented by ZTE, the BBC America series’ star, along with Kevin Hanchard, Kristian Bruun, clone double Kathryn Alexandre and Jordan Gavaris, shared their mixed feelings about Season 5 marking the end of this wild ride. From the sound of it, viewers will feel all sorts of things — going through a “happy/sad wringer,” as executive producer Graeme Manson put it — as those final episodes play out. In the video Q&A above, the topics also include the possibility of introducing another clone in Season 5, and which of Sarah’s sestras is most “painful” for Maslany and Alexandre to play. As an added bonus, Emmy nominee Maslany pulls off one of her better bits of acting when Ausiello asks her about how the series will end! tvline.com/2016/07/22/orphan-black-cast-interview-tatiana-maslany-season-5-video/#more-734820

Orphan Black @ Comic-Con: 12-Clone Scene (!), Musical Number on Tap?
Knock knock, it’s the man with all the answers to Orphan Black‘s mysteries. As hinted at in the Season 4 finale when Rachel received a special visitor at her stoop, “The revelation is that the founder of Neolution [P.T. Westmoreland] is somehow still alive,” co-creator Graeme Manson said at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday. “That is part of the big mystery for next year.” “We all want answers,” co-creator John Fawcett shared. “This is stepping through that last door. I don’t know if you’ll call him a bad guy, but it’ll be interesting to see what this man is all about.” The creators have yet to pick a theme for Season 5’s episode titles — that will come after they’re all written — but they did reveal a popular reference point in the writers’ room: The Tissue-Culture King, a short story by Julian Huxley. As for the decision to conclude the show next year, it was always part of the plan to go out while creatively on top. “We had five seasons in mind,” Manson explained. “The thing we don’t want to do is get soft around the middle. We think it’s cooler to cancel yourself than to get cancelled or peter out.” “And [star] Tat [Maslany] works too hard. We don’t want her to cry in the lunch lineup,” Manson joked. The chameleon actress doesn’t know how the series will wrap up, but the producers have long known the ending – and Maslany may have her work cut out for her before reaching the finish line. “We just want 12 clones in one scene,” Fawcett half-kidded(?). Not a joke: Fawcett revealed that there are plans to have an actor in a musical segment, a la Alison in her local neighborhood production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
