Not currently reading anything although I do have 'The Immortal Rules' by Julie Kagawa waiting to be read. Description talks about Vampires mixed with a dystopian future. I know Vampires seem to be the big craze/trend but if you have any interest in the flip side, I'd highly recommend the 'Mercy Thompson-Alpha & Omega Series' by Patricia Briggs (my sig and avatar; sig is Mercy, avatar is Anna from A&O). Actually kicked off my book reading frenzy these past few years. They're 2 series set in the same universe, same timeline (a book in one series will take place before/after a book in the other and there are shared characters). Mercy is a Shifter who has had to grow up with Werewolves and it all takes place in a world where Fae and Werewolves are out to the public. I think one of the big reasons I enjoy it outside of the mythos is that Mercy and Anna don't fall into the tropes (?) that annoy me with other books with female leads (such as the way Sookie and Elena come off). Have you read the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa since you read one of her other books? I have that on my list to read. Those others sound interesting. I may have to add those to the list. Now I see why you like Teen Wolf.

The same author has also put out some Ebook Novels referring to short stories about Magnus Bane which is the Main Warlock of both Trilogies (The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments)
Here is the website for the descriptions of the stories if anyone is interested www.cassandraclare.com/my-writing/novels/the-bane-chronicles/You've got me excited now! I may have to bump some of my others & move Infernal Devices up on the list.

Now I see why you like Teen Wolf. I have not. My aunt bought me the book so it wasn't one of my choosing. It will be my first venture into the author's work. I like Werewolves, what can I say? . Underworld really kicked it off with their Lycans and the Patricia Briggs books hit a very solid point for me in covering the Werewolf base as a lot of the other stuff I have is Vampire oriented. I've dropped House of Night and still need to finish off Vampire Academy but I'm burned out on Vampires for now but maybe the Julie K. book will be a fresh breath.

I love the Underworld movies too. I couldn't finish the HON books either. I gave up on book 8. It's the Neverending story and not in a good way! I read all the Vampire Academy books a few times. They're some of my favorite. I have the spin off series too, Bloodlines. I've only read the first one. I'm kinda collecting the next 3 so I don't have to wait so long in between books! I hate that. Waiting in between for VA like to killed me! I was burnt out on vampires so that's why I liked the Lux series so much. Aliens, can't get more different then that! I have a few other books lined up on angels, demigods, reapers & fairies so I've got a mixture to look forward to.

I have a few other books lined up on angels, demigods, reapers & fairies so I've got a mixture to look forward to. I'd like for them to do some expanded universe stuff on Underworld. A series of novels (a lot of Lycan history to cover, specifically the outbreak of the war) or even a show, which they've thrown around in wanting to do. I don't know what book I stopped on with HON. I think the last one I read was the one God getting released but I do think I own the book after that but never got around to reading it. It does seem to keep going on and on and although I like to see a universe become 'rich', I think up to that point, it just became a bit much for me to bother keeping up with. And the lead (don't remember her name) was kind of all over the place. She wanted the one guy at her school, she wanted her old human boyfriend, she had the hots for the one aide or whatever and I think there may have been one other. She was just kind of wanting a bit of everything. Vampire Academy I think I'm 2 books shy of having all + the Bloodlines books. Think Rose was just returning to school and had to go visit whatshisname to get more info. Next book I should be getting is the latest Mercy Thompson book. Since all the other ones I have are paperback, I have to wait like an additional year after the books release to get it in the form to keep with the rest of the collection =\ I've been meaning to check out the Beautiful Creatures books but I want to check out the movie first to see if it's worth the jump. Also need to catch up on the 'Nightshade' series by Andrea Cremer. Read the first book and liked what was crafted and I think they're on a prequel series now so I should be able to get the main series done in one go now without waiting for a next release. I've got my hand in a few series and I really should finish some of them up/get caught up instead of diving into new ones. I'm just really scattered on that front lol.

Zoe was her name from the HON series & I thought the same thing about her. She did want a little bit of everything! The last thing I read of her she was with Stark her bodyguard, but who knows by now she could have switched up! lol! I hope you like the VA books. I cried, but I'm a big softie! I love Rose & Dimitri. They went through hell to be together so I felt for those two. I won't spoil things for you! They're making a movie of the Vampire Academy which I'm not really too excited for because the chick they picked to me is all wrong. She's the one from the Beautiful Creatures movie I think. The way Rose is described in the book is the complete opposite of this girl. Rose is tall & voluptuous. This girl is short & skinny! She's cute & all, but nothing what I had Rose to look like. The way she was described I pictured someone like Nikki Reed. Not Nikki herself, but someone that has her build & looks. The guy they picked for Dimitri is pretty spot on & at least he's Russian. I don't know we'll see how it goes. People threw an absolute fit when Rob got the part of Edward & look how that turned out. I heard the Nightshade series is really good. Kiki loved them.

Was Stark the one with some incredible gift for accuracy (with a bow?)? That might be who I'm thinking of as he was a new addition in the last book I read so I don't know where things went from there. Just looked up who is playing Rose and...not what I expected =\ I was kind of skeptical on who was cast as Jace in the Mortal Instruments movie but the trailer destroyed that fear so maybe the same could happen with a VA trailer surfaces. Just looked and Nightshade should be easy to catch up on. 3 main books, 2 prequels so far. I've been looking to find something with a male lead since everything else I'm reading is from a female POV and I do have a few titles/series I've been eying such as the Iron Druid Chronicles series by Kevin Hearne: Atticus O’Sullivan has been running for two thousand years and he’s a bit tired of it. After he stole a magical sword from the Tuatha Dé Danann (those who became the Sidhe or the Fae) in a first century battle, some of them were furious and gave chase, and some were secretly amused that a Druid had the cheek to defy them. As the centuries passed and Atticus remained an annoyingly long-lived fugitive, those who were furious only grew more so, while others began to aid him in secret.
Now he’s living in Tempe, Arizona, the very last of the Druids, far from where the Fae can easily find him. It’s a place where many paranormals have decided to hide from the troubles of the Old World—from an Icelandic vampire holding a grudge against Thor to a coven of Polish witches who ran from the German Blitzkrieg.
Unfortunately, the very angry Celtic god who wants that sword has tracked him down, and Atticus will need all his power, plus the help of a seductive goddess of death, a sexy bartender possessed by a Hindu witch, and some good, old-fashioned luck of the Irish to kick some arse and deliver himself from evil.

Yep that was Stark! Those books sound really good! You're right it is hard to find stuff from a guys POV so I feel for ya, but these sound good so even I may check them out. I think I have enough books to last me till next summer!

Slash. Beautiful Creatures is also a male lead n POV and was really good. THE movie goes a different route like I enjoyed the movie but it didn't do the book it's justice. I don't even think a sequel will be made which sucks because that happened with the I am number for series. I enjoyed the movie and decided to try the book and absolutely loved the books but was disappointed the movie didn't make the big hit it was expected to make.

Ah, I now recall that BC does take place from the guy's POV. Should probably check out the movie this week. I just really want to peel away from Vampires for a bit is all. Werewolves, Witches, Demons, Angels, Succubi, Trolls (I've got a book dealing with Trolls), etc.. MT/A&O/Nightshade covers Werewolves, Witches are covered by The Hollows, Angels are covered by the Fallen series (but I haven't gone past the first book as I thought it dragged on before getting anywhere) and I have no clue where to start with something dealing with Succubi.
As for reading, nothing lasts. If I'm really hooked on the book, I'll finish it in a day or two depending on length. Less than a week at the most. If I buy a book and start reading when I get home, there is a good chance I'm a good chunk/half-way through it before 3am...and probably still up reading it if I'm not taking a break. So if I did buy all the books I have my eyes on, they probably wouldn't last the month.

Well Beautiful Creatures is about Castors aka Witches to some extent and also Incubus/Sucubus it was really good =)

Fallen did drag a bit in the first book but the rest of the reads are pretty good. They take their time in revealing the big twist.
