Michael Jai White? YES. YESSSSSSSS! I'm really interested in his fight scenes now after hearing this. Not familiar with his character however but teaming up with China White? I'm on board.
And I enjoyed Kevin in True Blood as Jesus so I'm glad to see him make the jump here now. The casting for the show is just out there with the people they're pulling in. Spot on.

spoiler alert
Everyone was asking questions about the Hobbit and Azog and stuff, but I decided to ask about Arrow. My question was:
"What will your character be doing in Arrow this season?"
and he responded with
"Well, someone’s coming to town, and it isn’t Santa Claus."
So is Slade coming to Starling City??? Maybe that’s what’s happening! Could be someone else, who knows.
I started flipping out in the chatroom and he said “I enjoyed answering your question!" which then made me go into full fangirl attack and start crying.

Slade in present day? Amazing. What I've always wanted to see happen but as early as S2? Just...cake. Given the pace of the show, guess I should have seen that happening.
EDIT: I guess I should have seen this. Him being bumped to regular would have to be more than just flashbacks unless they ramped up the frequency of those this season. I don't think Shado (sp?) was upped so that would mean Slade would have to be in both present day and flashbacks to be considered 'regular' (think Felicity was the only other bumped to regular).

Yea when we found out he was bumped to Series regular my initial response was.okay we.going to most likely meet him in present day also meaning he found a out of the island before Oliver? Then it made me.wonder what on Earth happened Shado? Did.oliver give up his.spot to escape.so they could escape first? Did one of them turn on their little group? So many questioms that im looking forward seeing answered this season especially since I love the flashback.episodes. Btw Slash did you see the preview.for next season.

Watched it this morning. I like how Felicity upgraded all the stuff. 'City of Heroes' is a nice tag line. We got Arrow, Canary, Roy is possibly donning his suit this season, Slade showing up and that's just what we know. We have a few ideas of villains so Ollie will need to broaden his team or might be in luck if more heroes just show up to do some good.

A recap from an article about the New Teaser
The most notable details of the video showed that fanboy favorite Summer Glau (“Serenity”) has joined the cast; Oliver’s bow and other tech gear are new and improved thanks to Felicity; Queen industries is in turmoil due to its involvement in Starling City’s devastation; and a new masked female superhero enters the fold.
Producer Andrew Kreisberg was more than happy to share with fans what they can expect in the upcoming season.
“It’s about Oliver becoming the hero,” Kreisberg said of the lead’s upcoming evolution from Arrow to becoming Green Arrow.
Kreisberg also revealed that Oliver will have “a couple more heroes helping him out this season.”
The season premiere will take place five months after the devastating events of season one’s finale, which included Starling City being virtually destroyed and the death of Oliver’s closest friend, Tommy Merlyn (played by Colin Donnell).
“It’s not about crossing names off the list anymore,” said Amell, also citing Tommy’s death as the primary motivation for his character’s change in season two.
In comics news, Kreisberg told fans that the Ramsey’s character Diggle will begin appearing in the comics, and actor Ramsey confirmed that his character will continue to be Oliver’s moral compass on his journey.
When surprise guest John Barrowman sent the room into a frenzy with his appearance, he said that he “would be happy to come back into this family” — even though it would provide added difficulty for the writers since they killed his character off last season’s finale.
Guggenheim also gave DC comics fans something to cheer for when he told the audience that there would be an appearance by Sebastian Blood, who’ll be played by Kevin Alejandro, as well as Bronze Tiger who’ll be played by Michael Jai White.
But the crowd really got excited at the announcement of the addition of The Black Canary to the cast, who it was previously reported would be played by Caity Lotz.
It was also announced that Glau will be playing a villain named Isobel Rochev.
The first season of “Arrow” will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on September 17, and the second season will premiere October 9 on the CW.

SPOILER ALERT {click to view}This contains some spoilery stuff about Episode 3 of Arrow in Season 2. Don’t read further if you don’t want to get spoiled.
A few days ago, some information came out about the 3rd episode of Season 2’s Arrow. We learned that the title of the episode was “Broken Dolls". We learned that it would feature a (potentially) recurring character named Barton a “creepy homicidal maniac."
Lolanae reminded me in the comments that we also go a previous tip from Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim about episode 3 being the episode where “The writers room is talking about Oliver sleeping with someone…"
BUT I also remembered this morning that Guggenheim dropped another tidbit about Episode 3 at Comic-Con, saying, "…episode 3 is really about his [Dt Lance] relationship with the vigilante, and what their new status quo is going to be. I think it’s going to surprise some people." [x]
So we have a homicidal maniac, “broken dolls," and Oliver sleeping with someone all in an episode Guggenheim says is “really about" Lance’s relationship with the vigilante. Hmmmm.
Of course the Felicity-lover in me would love it if a maniacal, homicidal whackadoodle gets hold of/threatens Felicity and brings Lance and Oliver together to work to find her, because, let’s face it, ever since Lance found out Felicity works with the vigilante in Season 1, I’ve been dying to see how it’d play in changing/developing the Lance/Vigilante relationship in Season 2. It had to happen for a reason, right?

SPOILER
Who are the two villains coming to Arrow this season? —Casey
NATALIE: With Isabel Rochev, Sebastian Blood and Bronze Tiger being introduced — and Deadshot and Slade Wilson returning — the possibilities are endless! "Our two Big Bads of the year, we know what their endgame and master plan is," executive producer Marc Guggenheim says. "[They'll both] feel like they're acting from a righteous place. They will cross paths, and there's a Venn diagram in terms of their goals and in the diagram, there is overlap." Who do you put your money on?

Thought they were going to avoid superpowers. I guess if they're jus using Arrow for a jump off point for Flash's own show with powers, that would work but I worry about the budget of that show.
