the further elaborate on that spoiler from wednesday {Click to View}n Season 2 of the superhero series, Glau will fill the recurring role of Isabel Rochev, the beautiful (yathink?) and dangerous Vice President of Aquisitions for Stellmoor International, a company looking to take over Queen Consolidated. Previously on the show, her name was glimpsed on Robert Queen’s “list.” Per DC lore, at least, Isabel fancies herself a bit of a rightful heir to the Queen family business, and as such she will be eager to get Ollie out of her way. (She is also technically a blonde, but if the show so desires, sources tell me we now have the technology to make that happen!)

Arrow really is being heavy handed on getting 'geek' favorites it seems. Glau is just another one to add to that list of guest stars. I'd recommend checking her out in Firefly (by Joss Whedon) if you haven't. She's also in Sarah Connor Chronicles (Terminator; so 2 sci-fi shows), which oddly enough, was also canned like Firefly, both on FOX.

OK, so Laurel's character just took a hit/became more useless: Ever since The CW's Arrow began last year, fans have wondered when series regular Katie Cassidy, who plays Laurel Lance, would make the transition to "Black Canary" (her longtime superhero alias in the source material.) Well, good news and bad news gang, which do you want first? Good news: According to The Wrap, Black Canary will be joining season 2 of Arrow! Bad news: It won't be Laurel Lance. Instead, the show's producers have decided on bringing in the "golden age" version of the character and have cast The Pact's Caity Lotz as Dinah Drake. The character will start the season as recurring one but will eventually make the transition to series regular as she is being groomed to become another love interest for Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen. No word on whether the character will feature her trademark high-pitched scream, but given the "no super powers" rule of the world it seems unlikely. The inclusion of Dinah Drake makes the rumors that series regular Colton Haynes started a few months ago even more interesting, when he teased that "they might form a team." www.superherohype.com/news/articles/178231-the-cws-arrow-casts-its-black-canarySo this doesn't go to Laurel at all (for now?) and this new one is going to be a love interest as well? I'm going to cringe if she has better chemistry with Oliver (like Felicity) but we get Laurel constantly shoved into the picture. Just...go away now Laurel.

Exclusive: Arrow Boss Sets the Record Straight on Black Canary Casting
Arrow fans were thrown for a loop Thursday night after reports surfaced that The CW series had cast the Black Canary.
The Pact's Caity Lotz has, in fact, been tapped for a recurring role on Arrow's second season, but she won't be playing Dinah Drake, TVGuide.com can exclusively reveal.
"There's been a bit of misinformation printed out there and what I would say is, yes, Caity Lotz is joining the show in a recurring role and we're really excited," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells us. "She's a tremendously talented actress. The character she's playing is really the beginning of the story of the Black Canary."
The fact that Lotz's character, whose name Kreisberg declined to reveal, has a connection to the Black Canary has worried fans who believed that Katie Cassidy's Laurel Lance would fill that role, as the comics dictate. But Kreisberg wants to set the record straight. "The character that Caity is portraying is the beginning of the Black Canary story and we're really excited for the fans to go on the journey with us," he says. "So much of our show is about defying expectations, meeting expectations and exceeding expectations, and we really want our fans to experience the show by watching it and enjoying it and enjoying all the twists and turns and surprises the way we intend."
Kreisberg likens the Black Canary's journey to other characters that the show has already introduced with a twist. "Everything about our show is about origins and evolution," he says. "When we met Deathstroke, everyone automatically assumed it was Slade Wilson [Manu Bennett] in the mask, but then we revealed we met Slade Wilson later. With Tommy [Colin Donnell], we thought that that was Merlyn, but Tommy was really the beginning of the Merlyn story because we saw how it evolved to John Barrowman and beyond. Oliver [Stephen Amell] himself, when we first meet him, he's not the Green Arrow yet. The series itself is an evolution of this character."
As for what this means for Laurel, Kreisberg says, "Everyone knows that Laurel Lance is the Black Canary. That's the way it is in the comic books, but how we get from A to B is the story of our show. In the same way that Oliver, when we meet him, is the vigilante, but this season he's going to becoming the Arrow, that's the step of his journey to eventually becoming the Green Arrow. Laurel Lance right now is a lawyer with a lot of heart and a lot of humanity and courage. But it takes more than that to put on the mask and go out and fight crime. Our series is the evolution of that. People will see how Caity Lotz fits into Laurel's journey along the way. For us, it's very emotional and surprising and exciting. I would say to everybody, we haven't let you down so far. Keep going on this ride with us."

Arrow Season 2 adds Michael Jai White and Kevin Alejandro as Bronze Tiger and Sebastian Blood.Exciting news, "Arrow" fans. DC Comics character Bronze Tiger and Sebastian Blood are joining Season 2, played by Michael Jai White ("For Better or Worse") and Kevin Alejandro ("True Blood"), respectively. White is above next to a representation of his character, while Alejandro is below with the same. Just what roles will Bronze Tiger and Sebastian Blood play in Starling City? Bronze Tiger is a claw-wielding assassin and will form an unholy alliance with villain China White (Kelly Hu). Sebastian, meanwhile, is a politician. He is an alderman seen as a "man of the people," who is at odds with Oliver Queen, because he blames the Queen family for the earthquake that devastated their beloved city in the Season 1 finale.
