I read them all but the 11th one which came out a month ago. Some were weired but the Stelena moments were always worth reading. The moment when Elena found Stefan in his prison in the dark dimenson. Him nearly starved to death... I hope it will be as epic in the TV show as it was in the books.

oh the first book of the ghostwriter was bad but I liked the 2nd and 3rd. I don't care who writes them as long as the story is good. And I found the last two better than the ones with the dangerous trees and the kitsune and those worms who possesed people.

Yeah a lot of authors use ghost writers it is pretty common practice and she was asked to go in a certain direction lol.

I think because there was never a doubt that Elena loves Stefan and Stefan loves Elena many "fans" say they are not as good as the show. The majority of TVD fans is Delena and that's why they say the books are bad. But in fact I really loved them. There were so many cute Stelena moments that were worth reading

I never bothered reading the books since it wasn't in the same path as the show since I watched the show first.
I read all of the stefan diaries though

the books have a different storyline and some different rules (vampires can starve to death in the books for example) but the characters of Stefan, Elena, Damon, Matt and Bonnie are the same. I really liked the lovestorypart but some of the fantacy parts where weired.
Ruby I read all of the Stefan's Diaries books, too. Do you know if there will be a 7th book because the story seemed like it would go on

The last VD book I read was The Return: Nightfall. So did Elena ever actually sleep with Damon in the books?

I didn't think she did. They just ruined her character for the show then. That sucks!
