Okay, so the thing is, CTV2 aired the episode tonight at 8 pm. I guess they didn't get the memo here in Canada. I will reserve further comment until tomorrow evening.

Tonight's Vampire Diaries's bourbon-based cocktail is the Suffering Bastard, apropos of this evening's narrative. I oz bourbon, I oz gin, juice of one lime, topped with four ounces ginger ale. See you on the Other Side.

OKAY! Let's get down to business. One of the best episodes of The Vampire Diaries since Season One. Excellent performance by Ian Somerhalder. Consistent, funny and very moving. Very well written. One of those episodes that will continue to be watchable for years to come. Loved the costumes and art direction. Loved the different iterations of Damon's relationship with Stefan as seen closely through Damon's eyes, how Damon uses (not very accurate versions of) Stefan as mirrors / moral compasses for his own self-recrimination and self-examination. Well edited. Loved the resets -- hilarious. Character-driven, rewards multiple viewings. The last four minutes were incredible. This is what The Vampire Diaries used to be. Thoroughly enjoyable television.
Favourite line: "Never write again."

Wow ... just wow!!! That was intense, very good episode. Smolder did a very good performance and the ending was a jawdropper. 5/5 points from me

The episode was really great I loved how they included the main cast yet it was still centered around Damon and his problems. As the resets kept occurring, I was actually really scared what would happen when there wouldn't be a reset any more. And I was right to fear it. Bravo to Ian Somerhalder. It was intense and damn so painful. I guess this is the reason why Damon isn't allowed around Caroline and the babies any longer in the future? I knew something had to have happened. What did you guys think? demetra Yes that line was hilarious!
