SPOILER
Paul: They're very imaginative those writers. It does get worse (for Stefan). Well actually without revealing too much its actually much worse for another character (not Stefan)...The cliffhanger in season 5 is that one of the leads ends up in a place that is quite dismal looking for future hope.
Paul also believes 'It (Steroline) will manifest in season 6.'
I guess that leaves Damon or Elena stuck in another dimension? Probably Damon so Stefan and Elena spend time together (and start falling for each other again) while trying to get him back. Does Damon going to this other place mean he sacrificed himself to save Stefan and/or Elena? Will Damon be redeemed by the time he gets back in s6 resetting the triangle so that Damon (with a conscious perhaps) is Stefan's equal?

PW about the finale “The cliffhanger in season 5 is that one of the leads ends up in a place that is quite dismal-looking for future hope.” (And to repeat for those making guesses, it’s not Stefan. “Correct,” he confirms. “That leaves 12 others. Good luck!”)
“It’s the friend code, girlfriend code, but I guess maybe not? She’ll deal with that when it comes, but we haven’t gotten there. I don’t think she’s ever noticed anything,” Nina Dobrev about Steroline.
"They keep hinting at this thing between Caroline and Stefan, yet they don't quite do anything about it; it's funny," Wesley says. "I don't know what to make of it ... I don't know how to take it from best friends to romance, but it'll be interesting if and when they do it. I like when girls lighten [Stefan] up a bit." Paul about Steroline

www.zap2it.com/blogs/the_vampire_diaries_paul_wesley_makes_his_directorial_debut_with_nostalgic_episode_filled_with_easte-2014-04Some highlights of the interview: "And there are a couple things I really like about the episode. But one thing in particular is this one storyline where there are some really nice throwbacks to Season 1, some really interesting visions and flashbacks with Stefan and Elena. It's just really nice to shoot such a nostalgic episode because Seasons 1, 2 ad 3 were my favorite seasons of the show. I was able to recreate some of that which was really nice." And for any super fans out there, keep your eyes peeled for a common theme Wesley wove into his vision scenes like easter eggs. "There's an interesting thing I did in some of the visions, and I wonder if anyone will pick up on it," Wesley says. "It's not like a big deal, and I don't want to sound pretentious but there's kind of an interesting theme in the vision sequences that I'll be curious to see if anyone picks up on. It's a fun little clue for the fans."

If not SE's future it could also be a reference from SE's past. We'll have to brainstorm after the episode.

Well at least stelena is still happening. It is interesting what both fandoms took from this episode. We are being played . They cater more to de because they have teams of girls on social media so the delena relationship will have to have things in every episode. Se get restless about every five episodes so they throw us a bone. They will keep de going until the beginning of season six as there is not pressure to go beyond that. Hopefully the story wins out.

The Vampire Diaries (CW) Airs:Thursday, May 15 at 8/7c
There is no more confusion about who The Travelers are and what they want: to break a centuries-old witches' curse so they can finally settle. And if their leader Markos is successful, magic would be destroyed, which could be catastrophic for Bonnie and the other side. But perhaps Bonnie is headed to a new world — and she won't be alone. "[The finale] definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in Season 6," Paul Wesley teases. "They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place."
Could this be the beginning of Bamon?

Could this be the beginning of Bamon? I would like Bamon to happen too. But what if the writers change Damon meeting Elena first. I would hate that.

SPOILER:
Is Enzo is sticking around on The Vampire Diaries? I love him! — Tina
Then you'll love Thursday's very Enzo-centric episode! While he'll finally learn the truth about Maggie, he also puts Stefan and Elena in grave danger, which ultimately leads to an epic battle among the three. The question is: How will Damon handle being caught in the middle?

Could this be the beginning of Bamon? In the books Damon became human and he hated it. To turn vampire again he went into the dark dimension. Bonnie followed him because she loved him. He didn't want her there because it was a dangerous place and he was busy finding a suitable vampire to turn him. But he felt for her and kept her safe. Some of the best bamon scenes happened there. So if bamon happens like this it's not even fanservice

It does sound exactly like the books! stelena4ever We may never know what would have happened if Damon and Elena had dated first and I don't think they'll do a time shift to reset things. Although I'm not sure if you read the books but there was a time reset in the books. When the town was free from the kitsune the whole town went back in time with mostly only the main characters being the only ones with memory of the kitsune attack. People that were killed (most of the town) were brought back to life and the town was rebuilt. Its a bizarre way to tell a story but I suppose anything is possible. I thought that s6 might turn into a double triangle. Wouldn't it be funny if Elena were part of 2 triangles - Bonnie/Damon/Elena and Caroline/Stefan/Elena and then the boys get to choose.

PRE-FINALE EPISODES | As the Travelers move forward with their plans, Stefan and Elena will develop an “us-against-the-world” mentality, executive producer Caroline Dries teases. “They’ll need to lean on this strong connection to get through it.” As for Stefan and Caroline’s undeniable… something, Dries encourages patience: “Our plan is to let this friendship evolve naturally and watch what happens when feelings start to emerge, ever so slowly, from one of them and how that begins to complicate things.” She also promises the finale “will end in true Vampire Diaries fashion, with a stunning cliffhanger that leaves us thinking, 'Wait, what? No. Tell me that didn't just happen.'” Meanwhile, as Bonnie makes “brave choices” about the Other Side’s big dilemma, Dries reminds us, “There’s always a sacrifice, and her relationship with Jeremy will certainly be one of the things that complicates everything.” katgrahamperfection.tumblr.com/
