Yeah, kind of wondering how much leeway they have with the history and rewriting relationships/run ins. I have a decent idea of Batman villains but not sure about the time frame that Gotham takes place in that would allow much use for them like we're seeing with Penguin. Some would probably be in Bruce & Selina's age range at that if they were introduced. Yes, I think they do because I think the orphan is going to be "cat woman" and in the movie we saw how cat woman came about and she was not "cat womam" as a child. I do not mind that though, It is kinda like TVD being very different from the books. It is like the show is inspired by the movies/comic not sticking to every detail of them. I am excited for tonight's episode Think it also depends on how long they think they can run the show and what end point they have in mind. Solving the Wayne murder? Something more personal/rooted to Gordon? A few time jumps till Bruce takes on the Batman mantle and introduces himself to Gordon? If they're not going past a certain point, then I can probably see them adding in certain characters and taking liberties with their origins too. Honestly, if Fox doesn't have the property tied up, I'd love to see Nightwing hit CW and be introduced in their ongoing universe with Arrow and Flash. Arrow has already made use of Bludhaven (and Huntress).

I can see it lasting a couple of seasons and then they will need something else or at least make a new focus for the seasons. Like maybe the development of Bruce into Batman. I mean the movies have Batman already established. It might interesting to see the development of the cities trust and of Bruce becoming that person. All this talk has me thinking Gordon may have to die eventually. Or that might be what prompts Batman.

Are you still watching Gotham teppy1? I missed a couple of episodes but saw the last two and thought they were pretty good, particularly the ep. tonight with Alfred kicking butt! Cat makes Bruce more interesting. So I guess Jim will hear more about the underworld at Arkham than he's been able to piece together as a detective. Wasn't it funny when Enigma/Riddler hugged Gordon? Something goes wrong with that relationship along the way! My gripe is they're doing too much for one season, introducing everyone then trying to keep them in the story lines. Having said that, I'm very curious to meet The Joker.

I disagree they are setting up a beginning riddler storyline there are a million characters they have not introduced yet and you could show all the villains for ten seasons and show there development over time. I am very excited to see arkham asylum and how it became so bad. Joker is supposed to be introduced towards the end of season one but excellent fall finale so excited for the riddlers turn the little riddler clues have been so fun.

jennifer I am still watching it! It is the show I am the most into this season. I agree I was worried at first too that they are introducing too many characters at once BUT I agree with katvolley13 that if they have them come and go they can extend the storylines for many seasons. I like the Riddler a lot. That was funny. I felt bad for him when that girl didn't understand that he he liked her and that was why he was doing what he was doing. This weeks episode was awesome. I just hope that they can keep it this good for many seasons
