ahhhhh This show just keeps getting better. I have now got my mother so hooked on it yesterday, that she woke up this morning and bought the first book on her kindle.
And thank you casting director for casting Sam Heughan as Jamie. *sigh* He's perfect!

I'm really enjoying everything about this series. The music, scenery, and acting all blend to make it a do not miss in my books. I really like how the dialogue is written..... Claire:(about her horse) Brimstone...that sounds ominous ... Stableman: It's like calling a tall man "wee" The interaction between Claire and Letitia is growing every episode (Letitia knows something is very different about Claire. Dougal went from saving her form the clansmen.... to trying to force himself on her.....Then he saved her from the boar and gained new respect for her as she attended the dieing man. All the characters are getting more depth every episode. My only complaint is it should be 2 hrs twice weekly. lol Take it from a hunter.. the boar hunt was very realistic..they can be lethal when cornered. There is so much attention to detail (the horses are the breed they would have used) it really adds to the richness of the series.

shoe20 yes the details are amazing, right? In the first episode when Claire says goodbye to Frank before he goes to the reverend and she goes back to the stones to get that flower they kiss and there is a tiny little bit of slowmotion when Frank turns to leave and she is looking after him. Just to make that moment special because it's the last time they see each other. It's amazing how much love they put into this show. And the clothes are especially made for the set by Ron Moore's wife. She did historical research for it and they produce everything in the oldfashioned way. And do you really mean Letitia (Colum's wife) or Geillis (Claire's new friend)

(still putting names to faces, lol) About the wardrobe..... Most of my knowledge of ladies undergarments relates to removal. (couldn't resist), but I do have a serious question.... What the heck is the "hip falsie", do you know any history for the reason they ware it? Is it the "child bearing" hips thing? I did notice the "slo-mo" in ep1..nice touch.... The camera work is top shelf...as is the directing ... like I said "quality production" Reign is doing a pretty good job, too.... and of course Downton Abbey.

Hi Kiki, tks for the vid it was really interesting. Got an answer from my goto girl crimmyj about the "hip falsie" we were talking about...It is historically accurate and was worn to keep the heavy material the dresses were made out of from chafing the legs...also not stepping on them as they walked.... Guess mini skirts came later. LOL

Guess mini skirts came later. LOL oh yes all the clothes are historically accurate. They have Ron Moore's wife studying such things. This show has so much money they can afford everything unlike TVD. I love how much work they put in such details. They even did imprints from the real castle's walls to rebuilt the rooms in the studio stone by stone. They are allowed to use the castle for outside takes but everything inside was rebuilt in studios since they cannot film inside the castle. Oh and did you know that it's the same castle as the one in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and it was Winterfell in some episodes of Game of Thrones

Kiki, wiki does it but there's a lag time. Of course there's Zap2it, but it's hunt and peck stuff..... I liked the last ep...I don't think Claire is going to out Dougal to the Brits! The boy's are like a bunch of big brother's protecting Claire on the road. LOL Kiki, here's a link to episode numbers on wiki....doesn't have E5 yet. Reported to be a bump in numbers. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outlander_%28TV_series%29I know you and I don't really care what they are...beyond keeping the series going....but I have a prediction they will surpass TVD very soon. LOLOLOL

New Preview I loved today's episode so much. The moment Claire walked over Jamie when he was sleeping infront of her door. Sooooo cute!!! When she innocently invited him in to sleep where it's warm, the look on Jamie's face. I died. He is so sweet.

shoe20 thank you for the link. I don't know how Claire will react. This scene was VERY differnt in the books. I'd say she says everything is alright and saves Dougal's ass so he will trust her from there. But if I look at the preview she is having dinner with the Brits. I could tell you how it was written in the books but I don't want to spoil anything crimmyj I love how shy he is. You will be so surprised in one of the next episodes. Something you'll never expect What I loved very much in the books and in the show is how slow this lovestory is going forward. They know how to tease the audience. It doesn't feel rushed like many other shows. I love the flirting and Jamies longing looks
