So Silas is the First Immortal bad but it seems even though hes psychic he doesnt have vampire speed? Well my theory is that The Originals and what Silas is are completely different. While most vampires are descendant of the originals we actually don't know if Silas can create other immortals. And i think they were trying to point that out throughout the episode. Silas is not a vampire. So why would he have speed and all the other features. We do know he needs blood to function and that he does heal. He doesn't seem to have blood lust issues and I don't think we've seen if he has veins that blacken or fangs that elongate. So im very interested to see if he has the ability to turn people or not.

I didn't even think about the fact that most likely he does not have fangs either. I thought it was just him being more creepy on purposelol, but it would make sense he would do that if he does not have fangs.

So Silas is the First Immortal bad but it seems even though hes psychic he doesnt have vampire speed? maybe he feels too superior to use it like he doesn't use his fangs either. Why hurry if you are immortal and have all the time in the world?

So this has been confirmed by the latest episodes:
• Silas is not as fast as a typical Vampire • He is not as strong • He does not like to be called a vampire • He needs blood to survive • He needs Katherine for something • He knows a weird language (latin?) when he was speaking to the Travelers • He has a thing for Brunettes lol • He is Damons long Distant Uncle? lol • And he has some type of History with The Travelers.
Maybe he was a former Traveler as well when he was Mortal?

And he definitely does speak polish.I wonder if they did that on purpose for that benefit same thing with Katherine speaking Bulgarian

I think I have a pretty good understanding of all the Silas mythology and the cure/ hunters etc, but for the life of me, I do not understand why he put poor Stefan in that box? At first I thought it was so he could be a Stefan fakeout and wreak havoc on MF and cause angst etc between him and the gang, BUT he has outed himself fairly quickly. And what has he been up to the whole summer? My point is, He could have achieved everything he has so far without putting Stefan in a box, it would seem noone can stop Silas reading their mind regardless of how they see him appear.

I think Silas did it with the mind control thing because there was that weird ripple on Damon's face as done for other characters when Silas is getting into their head. So just like he could make the townspeople not flinch when he killed the mayor, he was able to force Damon with his mind to let go of his neck.
