wednesday: I was honestly never very fond of Sara Lance or Caity Lotz. If at all I watch LoT it will be for Ray Palmer but I won't. Never planned to. But thanks for sharing that article

The Notebook TV Series Is in the Works at The CW—Seriously!
Get ready to weep on a weekly basis: The Notebook TV series is in the works at The CW. That's right, the Nicholas Sparks book that became a sobfest on the big screen in 2004 with Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling could be heading to the small screen. E! News has learned The CW just has a script in development with Sparks attached as an executive producer. Theresa Park is also on board the project with Camp scribe Todd Graff writing and executive producing the project. The show would be based on the book and movie of the same name and follow "the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie" from the start of their relationship to their future together "against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina." www.eonline.com/news/685324/the-notebook-tv-series-is-in-the-works-at-the-cw-seriouslyIt's no secret I'm a Sparks fan, but I really don't like the idea of turning it into a show. I could see them easily ruining it. The movie and book were great, no need to push it.

No, please, noooooooooo! Knowing CW, like we do, they'll turn it into a love triangle, and I can almost bet the Allie isn't going to be with Noah in the end.

No, please, noooooooooo! Knowing CW, like we do, they'll turn it into a love triangle, and I can almost bet the Allie isn't going to be with Noah in the end. It's so clear Hollywood is a joke. With all these rehashes it's obvious they have little faith in creating something original and compelling that can garner the attention they crave; so they come up with these clones, which, most of the time, are just weak imitations of the originals. When I heard they were remaking The Crow, I did a complete WTF, cause not only was it a great movie, but Brandon Lee died while making it, so you think they would honor him by not remaking the movie? But no, they could care less about that. They seriously need to think outside the box and come up with something different, cause history is not on their side when it comes to things like this. I doubt whether I'll watch the notebook. The CW isn't exactly the network for realistic portrayals of relationships, and I don't think the Notebook will be any different.

Being artistic is to create new things, not to imitate what's already been done. What's the fun in that? Having sucess and failling, in this business, it's perfectly normal!

‘Riverdale’ Finds Its Archie & Josie: KJ Apa To Topline CW Pilot
EXCLUSIVE: After a four-month worldwide talent search, 18-year-old New Zealand-born actor KJ Apa has been cast as Archie Andrews in Riverdale, the CW pilot from producer Greg Berlanti. Also cast in the pilot, based on the Archie Comics characters, is Ashleigh Murray as Josie of Josie and the Pussycats fame. Set in present time, Riverdale is a subversive take on Archie (Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small-town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade. Apa’s Archie Andrews is an intense, conflicted teen, a boyish high school sophomore who got pumped up over the summer working construction and is now juggling the interest of several girls, as well as trying to balance his passion for writing and performing music — against the wishes of his father and his football coach. Murray’s Josie is a gorgeous, snooty and ambitious girl who is the lead singer for popular band Josie and the Pussycats. She has zero interest in recording any songs written by fellow teen Archie. While the search for a young actor to play Archie went on for months, I hear Apa only auditioned on Friday, landing the role just days later. He just wrapped A Dog’s Purpose, directed by Lasse Hallstrom and produced by Steven Spielberg. Apa is repped by WME, Luber Roklin Entertainment and Australia’s Red 11 Management. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, chief creative officer of Archie Comics, wrote Riverdale and is executive producing with Berlanti Prods.’ Berlanti and Sarah Schechter as well as Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater for Warner Bros TV and studio-based Berlanti Productions. deadline.com/2016/02/riverdale-archie-cast-kj-apa-cw-pilot-1201708847/Riverdale’ Archie Comics CW Pilot Casts Its Betty Cooper & Jughead Jones
EXCLUSIVE: Riverdale has cast two of its four main characters. Lili Reinhart (Surviving Jack) is set to play Betty Cooper, while former Disney Channel star Cole Sprouse (The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody) will play Jughead Jones in the CW pilot based on Archie Comics. Set in present time, Riverdale, from producer Greg Berlanti, is a subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small-town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade. Reinhart’s Betty Cooper is sweet, studious, eager-to-please and wholesome with a huge crush on her longtime best friend, Archie. Tired of being the perfect daughter, student, sister, etc., she turns to her new friend, Veronica, for life advice — much to the consternation of her emotionally brittle mother. Sprouse’s Jughead Jones is a heartthrob with a philosophical bent and former best friend of Archie Andrews. He is still smarting from the rift that took place between the two. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, chief creative officer of Archie Comics, wrote Riverdale and is exec producing with Berlanti Prods.’ Berlanti and Sarah Schechter as well as Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater for Warner Bros TV and studio-based Berlanti Productions. Sprouse is best known for playing Cody on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and spinoff series The Suite Life On Deck. deadline.com/2016/02/riverdale-betty-cooper-lili-reinhart-jughead-jones-cole-sprouse-archie-comics-the-cw-pilot-1201699204/‘Riverdale’: Luke Perry To Play Archie’s Dad In Archie Comics CW PilotEXCLUSIVE: Former Beverly Hills, 90210 resident Luke Perry is moving to a new zip code. Perry has been tapped for a co-starring role in Riverdale, the CW pilot from producer Greg Berlanti based on the Archie Comics characters. Set in present time, Riverdale is a subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small-town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade. Perry will play Archie’s dad Fred Andrews, who is clearly getting a makeover for the TV series. Usually easygoing, Fred Andrews is the owner of a construction firm who is hoping his son, who worked for him all summer, will someday take over the family business. Perry joins previously cast Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones. Riverdale, the CW pilot based on the Archie Comics characters, has added a villain to its ranks, casting Madelaine Petsch as ginger bombshell Cheryl Blossom. Set in present time, Riverdale is a subversive take on Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small-town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade. Petsch’s Cheryl Blossom is rich, entitled and never accountable. A manipulative mean girl who kills with kindness, she recently lost her twin brother in a mysterious accident. In the pilot, from Warner Bros. TV, Petsch also also joins Ashleigh Murray, Cole Sprouse (Jughead Jones), and Luke Perry (Archie’s dad Fred Andrews) Petsch, who can be seen in the upcoming feature The Curse of Sleeping Beauty, is repped by Global Artists Agency and Fran Blain & Associates. deadline.com/2016/02/riverdale-cheryl-blossom-cw-pilot-madelaine-petsch-1201708939/

Bailey Chase & Jessica Szohr To Star In Kevin Williamson’s Paranormal CW Pilot
Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr is returning to the CW with a starring role in Kevin Williamson’s untitled paranormal drama pilot, and I hear she also has booked a role on David Lynch’s Twin Peaks revival for Showtime. Additionally, Longmire alum Bailey Chase has been tapped as the male lead in Williamson’s pilot. (Coincidentally, he also is doing a gig on the new Twin Peaks installment.) Written by Williamson and directed by David Nutter, the CW pilot is about a young woman who seeks help from a parapsychologist (Chase) when she begins to experience paranormal phenomena. Chase’s Clark Patterson is a once-successful parapsychologist who is now just an attraction at local ghost conventions. But when he meets a mysterious young woman, everything begins to change. Szohr plays Jasmine Lacroix. The granddaughter of a voodoo priestess, she has turned her heritage into a successful tourist shop in Baton Rouge. Williamson and Nutter executive produce, and Lauren Wagner is a producer for Warner Bros. TV and Williamson’s Outerbanks Entertainment. Chase, repped by APA and Untitled, has been recurring on NBC’s Grimm. Szohr, recently seen in the feature Ted 2 and TV series Kingdom, is repped by Atlas Artists and ICM Partners. deadline.com/2016/02/bailey-chase-jessica-szohr-cast-kevin-williamson-paranormal-cw-pilot-1201708614/

‘Frequency’: Peyton List Cast As the Female Lead In CW RebootEXCLUSIVE: Peyton List (The Flash, Mad Men) has landed the sought after female lead opposite Riley Smith in Frequency, the CW’s drama pilot based on Toby Emmerich’s sci-fi thriller. The TV series, written by Supernatural showrunner Jeremy Carver, centers on Raimy (List), a female police detective in 2016 who discovers that she is able to speak via a ham radio with her estranged father, Frank Sullivan (Smith), also a detective, who died in 1996. Seen in 1996, Frank Sullivan has been undercover for two years.
