Liked tonight's episode. A bit more on the Fitz & Simmons front, mostly Fitz. Ward has finally hit a point where I get him and he's OK in my book. I know he's used to being the muscle but I feel it's at a point now where he's melding better with the others and that they are a vital asset to him in tackling jobs that he lacks in (science, tech), along with being great friends. Fitz got them out of a jam early on and despite Ward thinking he was supposed to look out for Fitz, Fitz was doing the same (both on Coulson's orders) and neither was going to leave the other behind despite knowing there was no pick up coming.
Once again, we see Coulson going against orders/SHIELD in putting his team first, especially after finding out from Skye that Ward & Fitz didn't have a team going to pick them up. We find out that Coulson himself has sent people on missions like this but this is a 'new' Coulson. He's going in to get his people and oddly enough, the other Agent held the orders long enough for him to do just that. It's weird that these people know something is different with him/that he died but still dance around with the 'you've changed/the old Coulson' lines. Do they themselves not know all the details or are they just making mention of it themselves cause they would think the personality/memories would all lead to the same 'Coulson' but what they're getting is something different, someone more caring/protective? He also did the whole '...is a magical place...' line again when Tahiti was mentioned. He tried to pull the file on what happened to him in New York but apparently he doesn't have clearance for it (despite being of the proper level) and word would have to go to Fury himself to make that happen? Bit by bit, we're getting closer and Coulson is digging for what's going on and what happened to him.
So Coulson did some digging into the file Skye had that was redacted and...=( Her mom is dead but Coulson didn't tell her that and wants May to help him do some digging into what exactly happened to her. I really loved this episode on the basis that we got more looks at what the team is willing to do for one another. Coulson and May are ready to start doing their own digging into SHIELD to find out what happened to Skye's parent(s), Simmons shooting a superior agent and hacking a panel to help Skye hack the system to find out what was going on with Fitz & Ward (and putting her own personal interests aside to get that info) and pretty much everyone willing to get in the middle of an operation to pull out Fitz & Ward (who weren't leaving each other behind either despite knowing that they were on their own/probably going to get leveled by friendly fire).
I think [the] Whedon(s) have a real knack for likable teams. I remember enjoying everyone on Buffy in the gang (although that was a while back), I loved the crew of Firefly and now SHIELD is a solid team that I've grown to love. Kind of thinking of giving Dollhouse another go (only watched 2-3 episodes before getting distracted elsewhere).

So...that May & Ward ending...what the hell? Did not see that one coming. I get that they both share a common ground on what they experienced with the Berserker Staff but to shack up afterwards? I'm only assuming that's what they did. May had some champagne and when she saw Ward, she left her room door open. Tell me if I'm reading the signs wrong. Skye tried to sit down with him and talk about his past but he passed on it as quickly as he could. Maybe he'd talk to May after some loving but...hahahahahaha. The whole thing is just going to be awkward if it comes to light for the rest of the team.
Another hint about the whole Tahiti thing with Coulson. Now he's having nightmares about it.
I liked that this episode picked up after one of the movies (Thor: The Dark World; haven't seen it yet) and also introduced another Asgardian. Wondering if this is going to be common going forward with them doing an episode maybe centered around something that happened in the movies. Winter Soldier is up next and SHIELD is heavily involved in that one so that would be interesting to spin off into the show with an aftermath/new mission.

Just finished watching Thor Actually and I will watch SHIELD Tonight since it does follow the movie. I was waiting for Coulson to pop up at any moment in the movie. I won't say if he did or not so I do not ruin it for anyone. What I will say is that Thor is Awesome as well as Loki! and they do in fact mention SHIELD Several times.

So Tuesday's episode was really good. I liked how it kind of tied into the new Thor movie, but all it did was followed the events after the issue taking place in London. That stick was badass and unleashed the person who touched it's anger and rage.
I was a little confused with Ward's memory. Was he the boy in the well or the one who was trying to rescue him…
Also I liked how May said I was able to handle all the rage because I face it everyday. bit difference from Ward who admitted that he suppresses it trying not to think of it ever again.
Skye looks like she was really concerned for him and it kind of sucks he kept brushing her off and Coulson still feels like something is wrong. i can't wait until its finally revealed!

So Shield I feel as picked it up a notch with the story lines…
With Finding out Coulson was implanted fake memories to help forget the trauma he went through during the reviving process and Skye's back story its been really good. I really enjoy coulsin and May scenes. I like how she straight up said to him she and Ward were having sex hahaha and he said she will know not to let it get out of hand.
I am really interested in finding out who is the Clamboyant and what exactly is he working on. He has Quinn on his side now and with flower lady gone, I wonder whats his next move.
Also I didn't get the full story down packed ut the rogue agent did say the baby aka Skye had some type of power that people were after?

this is a little more regarding Skye
Skye was a “0-8-4” and an entire Chinese village died to protect her. The other agents protecting her were slowly killed off, until they erased her from existence, which is why she was shuffled around to so many different orphanages.
So now the mystery is why is she so special that a whole village died protecting her and what if her parents are still alive somewhere…I hope they continue her story.
Also Donnie the freezer boy turns out the be Iron Man's Villain "Blizzard"

Yeah, the story is picking up between Coulson and the interest in him by the Clairvoyant and now this new info about Skye and an entire village + SHIELD team being executed to find/protect her because she was an 084 (object of unknown origins, right?). The Clairvoyant & Centipedes' interest in Coulson was how he was brought back to life (so they could implement it in their soldiers) and according to the Doctor that helped in the surgery, he said the stuff Fury rolled out to save Coulson wasn't of this world/beyond our means (?) so it sounds like Fury might have dug into their archive/collection of technology they've acquired to save Coulson. Happy to see Mike Peterson alive but he's lost a leg, is badly burned and is now implemented with the dead switch to work for Centipede Is the show on hiatus till February 4th or was I seeing things?

Seems it is on hiatus. Tonight's episode is the one with the gravity machine or whatever with the kidnapped SHIELD scientist that they move around. Also got an e-mail from Marvel announcing that Sif would be guest starring in a future episode as well.

Skye Did not see that coming. Group is going to go all out in trying to save her. Really liked seeing Skye, Simmons & Fitz adapt to being in the field despite it not being their forte. Simmons taking the grenade for the other 2? Skye & Fitz trying to delay Quinn on their own before backup arrived? They're really striving to improve. Lol at the opposite end with Ward & Coulson having no idea on the tech side of things. Now I know who Peters is. I'm not familiar with the character overall but I'm familiar with the name and appearance of Deathlok. EDIT: Yo, dafuq ABC? March for a new episode? Da hell is wrong with you? No! To hell with the Olympics.

Slash...I must admit the Shield has improved on their episodes. The group doing all they have to do to get business done. It is crazy what happened with Skye. Definitely did not see her getting shot TWICE. It was a very emotional scene when COulson found her. I absolutely love love love their bond. Its amazing. I also liked how Coulson dead threatened Ward regarding May. It was hilarious to see them trying to work the hologram and "zooming in" haha. Fitz American accent was on point. Not Skye's scottish one and Simmons had her scene perfected on the train with coulson and even threw in that he had prostitutes. It was hilarious. Did I see that Ward was a little jealous after May rejected his help to get stitched up but took Couslon's? and who was Ward trying to blame regarding the situation with Skye? Was he indirectly blaming May/? or just the enemy or whatever information COulson told her regarding her parents? Deathlock is under orders and I guess his son is their leverage. Cant believe they going on break again wtf

So watched the new episode just now since I missed it last night (sleeping) and we're continuing to get more and more about what happened to Coulson. Apparently, a non SHIELD associated group helped SHIELD save Coulson and did so by way of using meds that we find out are made from alien blood.
Have no clue what character would have the initials G.H. but I'm going with the idea that he may have been Kree. Quite the jump on Marvel's part to introduce them on the show though. They have Guardians of the Galaxy coming later this year which deals with the Cosmic aspect of the MCU so they could have done that there (Ronan) but I guess the show avenue gives them some breathing room. I know they're rumored to be looking at doing a Captain/Ms. Marvel movie and supposedly met/talked with Katee Sackhoff and since her origins are tied to the Kree and Cosmic jumping off with Guardians, looks like they're getting the ball rolling for their supposed main female lead to be pushing if so (since WB/DC now has a Wonder Woman cast).
On another note, Tripp hitting on Simmons was lol-worthy. He just needed a big cheesy grin after each line to her.

yes!!!!! Tripp was hilarious. I was like this dude is super obvious right now hahaha.
Yes this episode was interesting and I think the show keeps getting better and better as it progresses. I was trying to figure out what type of alien GH could be and you mentioning guardians of the galaxy makes sense.
Im looking forward to the azgard episode next week. I am glad they were able to bring back skye. I thought her "084" situation as a child was going to save her. I wonder if this alien blood will give her any special features now.
Im glad they were all doing what they could do to make sure she survived. Even May beating the crap out of Quinn was well worth the watch as well as the other agent grabbing him by the tongue haahha. they were pretty awesome. I hope to see them more often on the episodes. they were entertaining to watch.

I honestly thought Garrett (Paxton) was going to be a PITA character but he came through in a big way for the team. Trained Ward and goes back with Coulson so when he heard the situation about Skye, he backed them. Was really surprised by that.
Would have to look up the specifics on Ms. Marvel's origins but I do know she gained her powers from the Kree. If G.H. was indeed Kree, they could set up a future episode where the Kree come looking for that specific individual. Maybe a post-Guardians episode like they had the post-Thor 2 episode. Ronan the Accuser will be in Guardians so people will have an idea of the Kree and they can probably switch it around where we get a character established on the show and then moved to the movies. If they go with Sackhoff, that won't be odd for her as she was in Battlestar Galactica for 4 seasons. Let's them get the origins out of the way now and if she gets a standalone movie, they can go straight to the action/establishing her place in the MCU.
I know I'm jumping the gun on all that though. Ant-Man is the first and only currently confirmed Phase 3 movie with Doctor Strange, Black Panther and the Captain/Ms. Marvel ones rumoured.
