I think the decision had a lot to do with Jamie's pregnancy and her not wanting to work because of past problems having a child....... I haven't read any straight up comments, just connecting dots.... Lets face it there is no "BlueBell" without Lemon...

What a wonderful ending with so much FEELGOOD feeling and happiness. It was a nice ending for this series. I have never seen anything like this before, and there will imo never again be such a heartwarming, funny and screwball comedy style tv series again. Well done, writers and actors and all the staff!!! I admit the ending with the singing was a bit kitschy for my taste, but it fitted well in this series nevertheless. They went out with a big, sunny and happy BANG! Who else thought that new Doctor Hansen or whatever his name was seemed like a moron I am already rewatching series 1 and I say HOD thanks, you make me happy! Cheers!

High points for me... Zoe and Brick..... It was perfect the way Brick made her a full partner.... Hiring the associate, unannounced (and of course Zoe took it the wrong way, doesn't she always?) The scene in Zoe's office with Brick explaining how he was looking out for her and then showing her the new Sign for the office.....touching! It was Zoe's series long dream to be a partner in her Dad's practice and Gain Bricks acceptance..... Thanks HoD for writing that the way you did, very satisfying... Zoe's whole performance...... was spot on.... Worrying about stealing Lemon's thunder. haha..It' just shows how far the two have come from their starting point. All her interactions were classic Zoe. My faves of course were with Wade... The hospital bed scenes with the two of them reminiscing their past.... and her telling her mother (lol on facetalk) she couldn't wait another second to have him be her husband....woo hoo......The town gathered around the bed in support, it was great when the nurse ask everyone to leave but the intimidate family. lololol wow makes me miss the small towns of my youth! How funny was Zoe's line about everyone moving this way of the public exam... Then Wade wheeling her and his son out to meet the town... the feels just kept on coming the whole episode... Lavon.... So true to his character....Too excited about Lemon accepting his proposal to come clean about the truth.. and then too guilty to not tell her the truth...The only thing missing was his "Gator"..... Running in circles to make it right and enlisting the whole towns help... good job mayor. Lemon.... I didn't start out being the biggest Lemon fan, but I finished up that way. I d her being the new layed back Lemon because she was confident in her decision, but I knew it was only a matter of time before the wheels came off the cart... Lavon and her will make a great life together. AB & George.... Ab was her usually dynamic self with her new insta love of George.... I was never a big George fan, but their talk in the car was perfect, so was his talk with Zoe the week before... I guess George does his best work in the car not the courtroom. I'm glad they showed them moving in together in Nashville.... I like the idea of AB branching out... Wade.... what can I say, he's my guy... All the characters showed growth over the series, but none more than Wade... Transforming from a care free party animal, looking for miss "right now" ... to a committed loving family man... way cool dude. Ok, the musical at the end..... Was it cheezy.... you bet. But a perfect ending to a great series.... Thanks HoD... I'll see ya again on a binge watch...

I was expecting a cryfest but no, in typical goofy Bluebell style the episode cheered me up. I did like the sweet moments in the first half that brought Zoe full circle from her not-so-humble beginnings. Like Rose getting into Columbia and moving to New York b/c of Zoe's influence. Plus the transfer of those massive high heels to Rose! Like you said shoe20, Brick's sign and trust in Zoe was a perfect moment for their relationship. Zoe sitting through her labor pains so she wouldn't ruin Lemon's party was classic zany Zoe and a far cry from her initial feelings for Lemon The second half was so wild and crazy I was just hanging on for the ride! I love this show and I'm glad to see it go out with a bang and a musical number, no matter how cheesy. That's Bluebell! In the end Zoe influenced the town just as much as it shaped her.

Rewatching season 1 and am now watching episode 5...it is so nice to go back and see how it all started. E.g. Brick was such a dick, arrogant, Lemon sooo unsympathetic, Lavon was helpless in love things, it didn't change alot in the 4 seasons though, Zoe was so New Yorkish and SATC typo, Wade was so cheeky and boyish etc etc. I cracked up when Burt Reynolds stole the Gumbo, the syphilis story around the pastor and his wife were hilarious. OMFG rewatching this is going to be one big romp Cheers!

Well i finally caught up. Watched the last two eps. I was expecting a sob fest. but funnily enough it wasn't too sad. Sure the eyes watered up here and there. But not anywhere near as much as it did when i watched the parenthood finale. All in all...the ending actually kinda disappointed me. They wasted the last i dunno ten mins just singing and dancing. I would have loved to see flash forwards like substantial ones, i.e Like Zoe and Wade teaching their kid to ride a bike or something you know? Lemon and Lavon having a baby girl. I dunno i wanted to see more of their future. BUt i guess if they did that and then they got renewed it would hvae been awkward to continue...but yeh i wanted it to be more final. Oh well. don't get me wrong i still lvoed the show. It was one heck of a show, one that won't be forgotten. Especially when you have S1-3 on dvd One of my fave things, was how they tied so many things from the start of the show. And to my amazement (cause i have shocking memory) i was able to picture all the moments they were talking about despite it being years since i've watch the episodes. Anyway it was a great ending. Long live Bluebell!

Y'all really haven't left me much to say! I agree with everything! One of the best finales of any show I've ever seen! It was absolutely perfect. I will miss it dearly. The best season by far and it went out in typical Bluebell fashion! As you all know I'm a gif/video addict so be prepared to get slammed! Please feel free to join in and share your favorite clips and gifs!!! The scene that started it all!!! Wedding Scene Ending
