Or to keep things spicy DE roll play instead having threesomes. After all Stefan is a little busy right now.  So Damon keeping Silas's return from Elena is going to result in her interacting with who she thinks is Stefan, wow this is working out great. Way to protect her Damon. Looks like DE's going to be too busy for anything other than their one dimensional romance. Is it just me or is Elena treating Damon like a boy-toy? The extent of their interaction seems to be written as "ILU and hop on"  Well I think Damon should have seen it coming. Silas probably going after Elena once Damon tried to get Katherine out of harms way. Hes going straight to Damon's weak spot which is Elena. and Im taking Damon will be keeping Katherine until he figures out what exactly it is that Silas wants with her. I also have a feeling Katherine is going to escape at that Gas station she is seen at with Matt and Jeremy. Even though shes human doesnt mean she still doesnt know how to make a run for it lol. |

I thought Paul really owned Ep1 - Silas is a entirely new type of "big bad". Why do you need fangs and speed if you can control everyone's mind? Klaus may have been immortal but he didn't have the untouchable confidence Paul played Silas with. Thank God CD finally took Paul off the bench and gave him some lines.  |

Isn't it interesting that Damon was so busy saving Katherine that he forgot to warn Elena about Silas posing as Stefan? What happened to "I will always chose Elena"??

Its not that Damon forgot to warn Elena. He decided to not tell her just yet. When he was on the phone with her at the end of the episode and hung up without telling her, Jeremy asked him why he didnt tell Elena and he said because she just left to start off college and knowing Elena she would come back out so decided to take the situation into his own hands i guess with the help of sheriff forbes and Jeremy as well as matt My thing is though Damon didnt anticipate Silas going straight to Elena and probably making Damon's precaution explode in his face. So we need to see how it pans out. Im assuming Silas will fool elena for a few moments before he tells her he is silas. Thats what he has done with everyone. he doesnt care to fake being stefan long. I wonder if Vervain keeps Silas out of their heads too or if thats just a witch trait that vampires cant protect themselves from. |

The prob for Damon is he doesn't want Elena to know Stefan's being tortured, because he already knows what her response will be. He's going to juggle the lies as long as he can. Not too many missing details he's keeping from Elena first EP: Silas back - Stefan tortured - Jeremy expelled - Kat's in her bubblebath - Jeremy died in a car wreck trying to protect Kat - but he did tell her someone broke the windshield. LOLOL  |

wow yes Ruby, that's interesting about the vervain. I haven't thought about that. Is Silas a real vampire and just doesn't want to be called one or is he something else and therefore not affected by vervain?

Anna, I think we had spoilers about Kat and Elena convincing Damon to find Stefan in episode 3 so I don't think they'll be able to find him in this episode  Maybe the witch (Tessa or Nadia or whatever) will find the safe first and save him just to make him forget? shoe20, I believe they are writing DE this way for a reason but we'll have to wait and see... IMO, the emotional/important scenes are still all SE and that has to mean something! Ruby, Katherine is soooo going to escape!  It would be cool if she was the one who could find and save Stefan.

I also agree that they might be writing DE this way for a reason right now. In each relationship we have seen on TVD there has been some type of element that was their own. This is my opinion or the way I see it atleast Stefan and Elena: He was there for her to comfort her and protect her. When she needed to feel safe he was her safe haven. He's been the one to comfort her when she is down or crying etc they were eachother's diary who they can speak to when things were falling apart/ We saw this symbolism when they both began writing in their journals rather then speaking together showing us their break up was going to happen soon. Damon and Elena: Elena has been the one more for Damon in the comforting. Shes been the one to bring out the humanity parts of him even though he still fights with it. When he found out Katherine was not in the Tomb, Elena went to him and hugged him for comfort. When Rose died she comforted him even if he didnt want to. Hell even when the whole Sirebond happened and they killed Kol when she saw Damon She hugged him rather then scoop in for a hug. Im not saying Damon hasnt been there for Elena because he has but its in a different way compared to Stefan. There has always been i guess you can say sexual tension between the two. They fell for each other and now that they are together thats what we are seeing their sexual desires being satisfied as of now. Maybe throughout the season their relationship will evolve to more or fall apart. Forwood: This couple I think has been the somewhat strongest when it came to balancing the relationship. Caroline has been there for Tyler in a way no one has and Tyler has been there for Caroline for the majority of times shes needed him the most. (ex: dealing with her father) He has been her shoulder to cry on as well as she being his. And they have sex every moment they can haha. They have the potential to be a power couple if the writers would bring tyler back. |
