I really loved this episode. It was one of my favorites this season so far. It showed some serious parrallels/similarities/foreshadowing between Capt. Swan and Merlin/Nimue. Hook got through to Emma whereas Merlin couldn't with Nimue sadly. He stopped Emma from giving into the darkness at the beginning. I also think Emma holding onto Hook's ring gave her the strength to stand up to Nimue as well because she kept holding onto it almost the entire time she was away with Merlin plus Nimue telling her she was nothing certainly didn't do her any favors! Jennifer was excellent in that scene! I think Emma turning to the darkness has something to do with saving Hook by a photo that was recently leaked and also from the promo from next week. Emma is fighting Arthur to keep him from killing Hook. I think her intentions aren't as evil as they appear to be or it could also have something to do with saving Merlin and that's why she had to put Excalibur back together since Arthur was controlling Merlin with half the sword. Things obviously took a turn for the worse in Camelot that we haven't seen yet. Maybe Merlin died and Emma's trying to undo everything? any guesses! I love Merlin! Can we keep him!! I felt so sorry for him and what happened to Nimue!! My heart just broke for him!! Arthur needs to go ASAP! He becomes more and more despicable with each episode!!! We can't be rid of him soon enough which means the actor is doing a bang up job! What did y'all think of the episode? crimmyj gclm tara moshe12I enjoyed the episode too. Probably my favorite of the season. Merlin has become one of my favorites. Really hoping they don't kill him off. But I kinda got that feeling during Sundays episode, I was worried Arthur was gonna during that episode. I don't see Arthur going anytime soon though. They kinda need him for the SL right now. I really like the Merlin/Nimue story. Broke my heart though. His face when she appeared told it all. I agree with you wednesday Jennifer was great that episode.

' Once Upon a Time' Bosses Talk 'Kickass' Adventures and What's Ahead for Your Favorite Pairings!ETonline called up the drama's dynamic duo, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, to get all the details on what's coming up next in the last four episodes of 2015 -- including this Sunday's epic two-hour, back-to-back adventure. "A lot of the questions that everyone has been asking themselves and a lot of these mysteries that we have posed at the beginning of the season will be answered on Sunday night," Kitsis teased. "You will find out the answer to why Emma is doing what she's doing, and you'll find out more about the curse." "These two episodes are, hopefully, turning the screws and amping up the story," Horowitz added. "Giving you some answers and starting up on our little end-run towards the mid-season finale." To make matters even more exciting, Sunday's double feature will also include the return of two of the series' most beloved MIA beauties: Ruby (Meghan Ory) and Mulan (Jamie Chung). "We're going to pick up and you're going to find out where Ruby has been for the last year," Kitsis confirmed. "We're going to get a little bit more in [Mulan and Ruby's] state of mind, and they are going to be very helpful towards Merida, who is going to find her kingdom in trouble." Sounds like a fairy tale version of Charlie's Angels -- and we're totally loving it. "Yes!" Kitsis laughed. "It's very much kickass team of avengers, absolutely." Now let's move on to what's ahead for all your favorite pairings as we creep closer to the magic-filled mid-season finale... Rumbelle: It seems like every time Rumple and Belle break through their latest relationship test, yet another hurdle is dropped into their path to happiness. As we saw in last week's episode, Rumple is now officially considered a hero, but unfortunately, that doesn't mean that he's automatically going to get the girl. "I think there is going to be a lot of Rumbelle drama ahead of us," Kitsis warned. "We obviously know that Rumple is trying very hard to change his ways to win her back, and I guess we're going to have to find out whether it's too late. Captain Swan: We're pleased to say that we pretty much broke the Internet last week when we debuted the Holy Grail of Hook and Emma sneak peeks. So what's next for this duo now that Hook (kind of) put a ring on it? "I would say that definitely the next three episodes will have some Captain Swan drama," Kitsis said. But don't start freaking out just yet! When we asked what kind of drama would be headed our way for this relationship, the EP was playful with his answer. "Well, I think like all drama, they will run the gambit. I will say, if you like Captain Swan, I would keep watching," he said. Even though we'll be getting more answers and revelations about Emma's darkness in these next four episodes, don't expect to see the entire Dark Swan storyline completely wrapped up by the mid-season finale. "Some elements of the story are wrapped up, but the reverberations of [the Dark Swan storyline] are felt throughout the rest of the season," Horowitz said. "So it's not like it's a completely self-contained half of the season where everything that happened is closed off and we're starting completely new. They're more directly connected in terms of what happens in the second half of the season than we've done in the past." ETonline broke the news in October that we'll be learning more about Killian's past later in the season, and we're pleased to say that's still the plan. "It's less about dealing with the Dark One as his girlfriend, and more that Hook's own past becomes more important and informs what's going to happen going forward in relation to Emma and what she's going through," Horowitz revealed. As for that life-saving ring that Hook gave Emma? That topic will definitely be coming our way, once again. We can't tell you who that ring once belonged to, but we will say that we've met its previous owner before. Snowing: Since their daughter is still the Dark One, Snow and Charming will continue to endure additional stress in their relationship. "Well, the Charmings have a very rebellious daughter right now and most of the year for them is trying to help their daughter find the lightness," Kitsis said of the iconic couple. "There are certainly some familial challenges ahead for the Charmings, which they deal with together," Horowitz added. Despite the fact that our picture perfect couple has had some refreshingly realistic fights this season, that doesn't change the fact that Charming and Snow are meant for each other. "They are true love," Kitsis confirmed. "So for us, we've always wanted to take them from icon to a real couple," Kitsis said. "You know, the very first thing after the pilot, we saw them fight as a couple and so, for us, we always like to portray them as a real relationship." Swan Queen: Regina and Emma's dynamic have certainly strengthened this season, especially in the Camelot flashbacks, so what's next for these two magic-wielding ladies? "I think that the Emma-Regina friendship/relationship continues to grow and deepen as they go through more and more together," Horowitz spilled. "We're going to certainly see some charged scenes between the two of them as we head towards the mid-season finale." Outlaw Queen: Listen up, Hoodies! Your favorite fairy tale outlaw is going to start getting a lot more screen time. "Robin Hood is going to play a continuing part in this story, and in a more pronounced way, as the season progresses," Horowitz promised. Thanks to the fact that Regina's sister is currently the baby mama of Robin's unborn child -- totally normal, right? -- the dynamic between these three adults is understandably linked. However, Kitsis was quick to stress that Robin's heart will remain tethered to Regina, not Zelena, in this "messy, complicated relationship." "You're going to see them work together as a couple," Kitsis explained. "You know, we've never portrayed Zelena as any sort of romantic threat and that will continue, but we'll also continue having to see them deal with Zelena, who is quite clearly out of her mind." We don't know about you, but we've been having some serious Regina and Robin withdrawals lately, so we followed up with a heavy hitter question: Do you feel like Robin and Regina have the possibility to be one of the great true loves of the series? "I hope so," Kitsis said. "When we saw Regina with Daniel, he told her to love again, and she is," Kitsis continued. "So I would like to think that all of our relationships are pretty meaningful." "I think all the relationships on the show, at their core, have an element of hope and can be a true love and have great things happen to them," Horowitz added. "Of course, sometimes in life, it doesn't always work out but sometimes it does, so there's always that hope that it will." m.etonline.com/news/176036_exclusive_once_upon_a_time_bosses_talk_kickass_adventures_and_what_ahead_for_your_favorite_pairings/index.html

Once Upon a Time' Creators Question if Hook and Emma's True Love Will Conquer All
Once Upon a Time is ready to reveal Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) full dark plan, and Storybrooke is ill-prepared. When the ABC drama airs its two-hour episode Sunday, questions surrounding the lost memories from Camelot and why Emma became the Dark One will finally be answered, with the ramifications for Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Emma's relationship to follow. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis to discuss Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Ruby's (Meghan Ory) returns and reunions with the Storybrooke gang, their mission with Merida (Amy Manson) as well as the status of the Zelena (Rebecca Mader), Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Robin (Sean Maguire) baby conundrum. They also teased when to expect the LGBT storyline this season — including Aurora (Sarah Bolger) and Phillip's (Julian Morris) role with Mulan in Sunday's episode. How will Mulan and Ruby's returns be addressed? Will it focus on their journey with Merida?Kitsis: We've been wanting to bring Ruby back forever ... but we felt like we couldn't just have Ruby show up at Granny's like she's been there the whole time. This will explain where she's been and what Mulan has been up to. The two of them are going to be enlisted to help Merida with a problem at home. She has to pay back a debt her father has to the witch from Brave, and she needs the help of Mulan and Ruby to figure it out. Will they interact with the rest of the Storybrooke gang, or are they only in Merida's universe?Kitsis: We're going to get a Ruby and Mary Margaret scene. Horowitz: There's a touch of Storybrooke and a lot of our characters in DunBroch. We're going to be seeing some of the Camelot characters interacting. It's kind of a hodgepodge of things. How long will they stick around this season?
Kitsis: We will absolutely see them in the second half of the season. This is kind of their reintroduction, where they've been and setting them up for the second half. The last we saw Mulan, she was getting heartbroken by unrequited love with Aurora. Will we see Aurora and Philip come back now?Kitsis: We are not going to be seeing them in this episode. Horowitz: They are referred to, but ... Kitsis: This is more about Mulan's journey moving forward. With the gay storyline that you're working on, was there any difficulty getting Disney to come on board for it, and did you know which characters it would involve?Horowitz: The storyline that we're planning to tell, everyone has been super supportive of. What we're endeavoring to do is to not make a big deal of it because that's how we see this world — it's not a big deal. It should just be a love story that is as exciting, emotional and heartfelt as any other love story. Kitsis: For us, we wanted to tell it no differently than we would with Robin and Regina or Snow and Charming. We just wanted to tell a love story. For us, it's a love story like any other and it's something we're excited about. Everyone's been supportive, and we're going to tell it in the second half of the season. Is the Aurora, Mulan and Phillip love triangle something you're looking to explore?Horowitz: We don't want to comment on who the characters are and what the story is. It's a funny thing — the more we're asked about it, it kind of goes against what we're trying to do with it, which is not to make it a "Very Special Episode of Once Upon a Time," but to make it its own special story that just exists. How will the events in these episodes lead up to the midseason finale?Kitsis: The first episode really sets the tone, and you're going to realize really sets up the end run of the first half. A lot of the mysteries and questions we've posed at the beginning of the season — Why is Emma doing what she's doing? What does she want? Why did she do this? — will be absolutely answered this Sunday. Emma faces a "gut-wrenching choice" in the first hour. Does this pertain to her and Hook working to overcome the darkness, and will this affect all of her relationships and the dark plan she has in the works?
Kitsis: I'm going to say "yes" to all of that. Going into this episode, Emma has all that she needs to get rid of the darkness. And then we see her in Storybrooke, six weeks later, and she is completely Dark One-d out. So the question we're asking you this weekend is, "What happened?" and we're going to answer that on Sunday night. We're going to answer why she either rejected or could not get the darkness out of her. Will her dark plans to be explored in the rest of the season?Horowitz: The answer will be sooner than the midseason finale about what her dark plans are. Hopefully they will be sooner than you expect. How will Emma and Hook's relationship change as they overcome her darkness together?
Kitsis: They will be tested like they never have been tested before. We'll have to see if true love can really conquer all. With Robin trying to decide whether he will raise this baby with Zelena, will Regina keep interfering, or will she accept that they have to live in some dysfunctional family?
Kitsis: We've never played the whole Zelena, Robin, Regina thing as a love triangle, because obviously Zelena fooled Robin. It's more about exploring how you deal with this crazy third member of the family. As always, Zelena's going to test them, and what she's going to test most in Regina is that she's trying really, really hard to not revert back to being the Evil Queen, yet Zelena just makes her want to reach in, grab her heart and crush it. Will Regina allow Robin to have this new family?Kitsis: I don't think Regina would ever want to prevent Robin from being with his child. I think that it's really tough with her and she's going to have a lot to deal with and juggle the next few episodes. Gold and Belle are facing some hardships with his entanglement with Emma. What obstacles will they face in this half of the season?
Kitsis: I think Gold is trying his hardest to be a man who is worthy of her. The question is going to be, has he betrayed her too many times? Once Upon a Time's two-hour episode airs Sunday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Once Upon a Time: The battle for Emma's soul comes to a head
The battle for what ultimately amounts to be the ability to free Emma from the darkness will come to a head in Sunday’s special two-hour episode of Once Upon a Time. With Merlin (Elliott Knight) now under Arthur’s (Liam Garrigan) control, the Sorcerer gives Emma (Jennifer Morrison) a pretty hefty ultimatum: turn over the Dark One’s dagger or your family will perish. “Arthur has a real economical ability to pinpoint a character’s weakness extremely quickly and his doing that will put one of the Charmings in grave danger,” Ginnifer Goodwin teases. The threat leads to a showdown of epic proportions between Emma and our heroes against Arthur, Merlin and Zelena (Rebecca Mader). “It’s a detour from the plan,” Morrison says. “It’s not what Emma was expecting, and she now has to adapt, adjust and make a new turn in order to also save her family and stay on track with her plan.” But her plan, whatever it may be — it involves Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), according to this sneak peek — will have severe consequences that lead to a shocking revelation about what really happened in Camelot. Though the situation is dire, it’s a great opportunity to see the Charmings alongside their daughter — something many fans have expressed this season is lacking. “I didn’t think of us as not having a lot of interaction,” Goodwin says. “The Charmings have just been trying to navigate her and figure out how to best support her. They never feel threatened by her. For them, it’s a matter of helping her get what she wants and trusting her to do that in an intelligent way, and also finding a way to save her without frankly threatening her.” “It’s very complicated, because they need to save their daughter,” Josh Dallas adds. “They need to try to get her back into the light somehow.” Back in Storybrooke, the situation is made more complicated when Zelena’s pregnancy suddenly accelerates and the baby arrives, causing strife for Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire). “Regina really establishes the rules,” Parrilla says. “This is how it’s going to be, you can see your daughter, but under strict supervision. One of us has to be present, meaning Regina or Robin Hood. There is still a huge level of distrust when it comes to Zelena and Regina. I just don’t think she feels that Zelena is going to make the right choices, and she doesn’t. She wants that baby to be wicked and she’s going to teach it how to be wicked. She’s going to take it and run back to Oz. Regina and Robin Hood are going to do everything to stop that.” “Robin being a bit of a family guy, he’s very concerned about the fact that you’ve got this dreadful, all but evil person who seems to be without redemption,” Maguire says. “It’s going to be a very difficult season for them to figure out what the best solution is. Also, the show’s about hope. We’re trying to believe there can be some redemption for Zelena, but we’ll have to wait and see if there’s anything in there worth saving. The difficulty for Robin is she’s the mother of the child. Under normal circumstances, he’d break his code and kill her, but then you’re killing the mother of your baby and that’s getting a bit biblical.” But, in this case, Parrilla doesn’t think Zelena will change her ways. “Which makes me sad,” says the actress. “It’s like Cruella [Victoria Smurfit] — she was unredeemable as well, and she ended up dying as a villain. I don’t know what Zelena’s fate is, but I would hope that she could come around and they could be sisters. That’s a happy ending, and I just don’t know if they’re meant to have one.” Meanwhile, the two-hour outing also features a big Merida (Amy Manson) storyline as she teams up with Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Ruby (Meghan Ory) to avenge her father’s death. “Merida returns to DunBroch to find out from the witch from Brave that her father owes a debt to the witch,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “It is up to Merida to repay it or lose her kingdom. This will be her first challenge as queen, so she enlists an old friend, who is Mulan. We’re going to get a flashback about her and how she became a warrior and how she knows Mulan.” Fortunately, for those who have been missing Mulan and Ruby — or MulanRouge, as fans like to call them — “We’re also going to get where Mulan has been for the last year,” Kitsis says. “They’re going to team up with Ruby and we’re going to see where Ruby has been for the last year, because we know she has not been in Storybrooke.” www.ew.com/article/2015/11/13/once-upon-time-emma-darkness-spoilersSPOILER:

Once Upon a Time Creators Tease Emma's Choice, Merida's Backstory & More!
“It’s a fistful of Once Upon A Time,” said series co-creator Edward Kitsis about this Sunday’s two-hour block of back-to-back episodes. In talking to Kitsis and co-creator Adam Horowitz earlier this week, we not only found out what’s surprised them the most about the current Dark Swan chapter, but also what’s coming for a number of the romantic pairings on the show. Also: how will the core friendship of Emma and Regina be further tested as our Miss Swan gets pulled further and further to the dark side? And how will it affect Emma's relationship with Captain Hook? TV Fanatic: With this chapter in particular, what has surprised you guys either in the writing of it or how it’s played out once the actors kind of got into it?
Adam Horowitz: I think it always is surprising with our actors who we believe are the best in the business now. They take what we write and bring something new to it and it’s just like with Dark Swan how Jennifer Morrison interpreted it and made it her own, and through all the characters, and I think that’s been a joy. Edward Kitsis: I really think Jennifer brought her own thing to being the Dark One and that’s different than Dark Ones we’ve seen before and I think that’s been really great and it’s just fun to kind of see these characters brought to life. What I was most surprised by with the way Liam plays King Arthur is how he really lets you believe he’s doing what’s best for Camelot. There are times where I find myself going, ‘well maybe Arthur’s right.’ TVF: Since the first hour is called “Birth,” we can assume it something to do with Zelena but is there another kind of birth in the episode by chance?
EK: Absolutely. There is way more to it than that. AH: The title “Birth” works on a different level than just the literal. EK: And it will be very apparent to our fans at the end of the episode. TVF: I know that Emma has to make a gut-wrenching choice in this episode. How much will it actually change her, this choice, and how will we maybe look at her differently?EK: I think it will change her very much. Here’s the thing. I think it’s one of those episodes that a lot of the mysteries and the questions we’ve posed for the first seven [episodes], a lot of them are going to be answered in that first hour and so you’re going to look at, I think in a lot ways, the season in a new light. TVF: How will whatever this choice is affect her relationship with Hook?
EK: Oh, significantly. TVF: In terms of Emma’s journey being the Dark One, how will we see it affect her relationship with Regina moving forward? It’s already been affected quite a bit but is there even more coming?EK: I think Regina and Emma have interestingly become friends and I think that it is an interesting friendship because they both share Henry and they were enemies when they started. So was Snow and Regina and they’re pretty close, too. I think Regina understands what the temptation to give in to darkness is and I think that Emma is going to come to rely upon her for help as the season progresses. TVF: Tell me a little bit about Zelena’s journey with this. She’s so darn wicked but then you do get these moments where you might sympathize with her a little bit. Does that continue?
AH: I think that Zelena is wicked and she is an awful person who’s done awful things but she’s also human and this pregnancy, hopefully, is dimensionalizing her and making her look inward and face things about herself. But how she faces those things and what she does with that self-knowledge is always a wildcard with her. TVF: Are we seeing any of Gold and Belle in these episodes, any progression with their storyline?AH: Absolutely. EK: We’re going to be slowly getting into the Gold and Belle of it all. TVF: The second hour sounds like it’s focused on Merida. Are we seeing the other characters in the other hour?
EK: We’re going to see some of the other characters. We’re going to see Zelena. We’re going to see Arthur. We’re going to see Ruby. We’re going to see Mulan. But it is going to be very heavy in Merida. TVF: Merida, Mulan and Ruby are teaming up so what’s the dynamic like and are there any surprises in how they work together?EK: Merida has a backstory with Mulan that you’re going to see so and you’re going to realize that they predate what we’ve seen and I think the dynamic is very [much] what our show is, which is we rely upon our friends to help us through tough times. TVF: Does this have anything to do with the LGBT story you guys talked about? I know you had said it would be in the second half but...AH: As far as the LGBT story goes it’s one that we…I think the less said, the better in that we said that we’re planning to do it and our goal with is to not make it seem a unusual thing, but to do the opposite and make it just a part of our world the way it is in the real world and not marginalize anything and just make it seem as loving and beautiful as any relationship. EK: But, yeah, that will be the second half of the season. TVF: We’re seeing Merida’s backstory with her father and her father’s death. Will what we see shed new light on that death or their relationship?EK: Yes. TVF: How much more are we seeing Mulan and Ruby throughout the rest of the season?AH: There definitely are plans to see more of them, but it’s not in every episode but there are plans for them. EK: As much as we would love for it to be every episode... AH: It’s not regular but this isn’t a one shot thing either. EK: We are kind of setting them up in the second half of the season. We are going to be seeing more of them and this will kind of explain where both of them have been. TVF: For the second part of the season, are we seeing any seeds of what that story will be now or is it going to be a clean story from what’s happening now?
AH: No, we’re definitely seeing seeds of it in the first half so they’re not going to be completely self-contained halves. I mean, there will be elements of the storytelling that are completely different in the second half and we’re wrapping up a lot of things from the first half but they’re connected in a more direct way than we’ve done in the past. I’m sure you guys see the buzz on social media over the show because the fans are very passionate and vocal, which is what you want for any show.
EK: They get very passionate and so that it’s really fantastic to have such a dedicated fan base because it is so rare in today’s world anymore to get people so dedicated about things. For us, it’s really inspiring and it’s great. Like when we go to these events…we did New York Comic Con a few weeks ago and in the front row were three Emmas with the red jacket and the knit hat! Where else can you get people dressed as your character from the real world? www.tvfanatic.com/2015/11/once-upon-a-time-creators-tease-emmas-choice-meridas-backstory-a/

Once Upon a Time Casts Hercules, Meg — Plus: Scoop on a Returning Heroine!
An ABC spokesperson confirms for TVLine that relative newcomer Jonathan Whitesell and Hannibal‘s Kacey Rohl have been cast as Hercules and Meg, to appear in the 13th episode of Season 5, titled “Labor of Love.” The castings come on the heels of TVLine reporting that Ally McBeal‘s Greg Germann will recur this spring as “The Distinguished Gentleman,” which some have speculated is code for Hades. Additionally, TVLine has learned that Bailee Madison (The Good Witch, Trophy Wife) will reprise her role as Young Snow White in the same episode (the second to air after the long winter break). Madison last appeared on Once in March 2013. Hercules is described as “a dashing, strapping young man” who is “single-minded in his pursuit of his destiny: to be the greatest hero who ever lived. All that changes however, when he falls in love with a beautiful princess.” Sigh. I’ve been there! Meg, meanwhile, is “a plucky young adventurer with a sly sense of humor and a tough, no-nonsense spirit. And though she has spent a long time languishing in a dungeon, her inner spark has not burned out. Rather, it is waiting for the right opportunity to shine brightly again.” Whitesell and Rohl are currently set for just the one episode. Whitesell’s previous TV credits include episodes of The 100, iZombie and Fox’s upcoming X-Files revival. In addition to her Hannibal run, Rohl has appeared on Fringe, Supernatural and The Killing. tvline.com/2015/11/16/once-upon-a-time-season-5-cast-hercules-megara/#more-659314

‘ Once Upon a Time’ EPs know exactly how the series ends
The special two-hour “Once Upon a Time” on Sunday (Nov. 15) starts off with the regular Storybrooke crew dealing with Dark Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and the events that took place in Camelot. This whole arc presents a lot of obstacles for the fan-favorite couples, and creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis tell Zap2it that the relationship roller coaster is something that won’t stop until the series does — though they do know what the series finale looks like. “No relationship is smooth sailing and if it is, it certainly doesn’t belong on TV because it’s boring,” says Kitsis with a laugh. “What we have is complicated relationships between three different couples and we’re going to see those play out.” “We know that Emma and Hook right now have some complications as he’s trying to save her. Robin and Regina are very much in love, but they have to deal with the Zelena of it all. And Rumpel is trying to become a better person, but Belle has been scorned one too many times,” Kitsis continues. “Those are on-going relationships for the series, so they are not arc dependent. We don’t try to wrap them up the way we do with ‘Frozen’ or Camelot or things like that.” The executive producers also say that they basically know where all these characters are going to eventually end up — but they aren’t telling. “We do have [the ending] in our heads. We will not share it,” says Horowitz. “When we started the show, we had this idea at the very start and although we get people coming in and out — over the years things have evolved — but that core idea remains and it has solidified itself as we move forward. We’re excited to one day build toward it. … This is a show about love and hope, and we are going to see these couples fight for their happy endings.” To this, Kitsis quips, “Everybody dies and we learn that a show about hope ends with you having no hope. That’s the twist no one saw coming. The show is actually going to end in the bleakest, darkest way possible: with everyone dying.” He’s just kidding, “OUAT” fans. zap2it.com/2015/11/once-upon-a-time-eps-series-finale-everybody-dies/

‘OUAT’s’ multiple Dark Ones is setting up the back half of Season 5
In the first half of “Once Upon a Time’s” special two-hour event, Emma’s (Jennifer Morrison) motivations were revealed when Zelena (Rebecca Mader) restored Hook’s (Colin O’Donoghue) memories from Camelot, showing him that Emma tethered his life to Excaliber and made him a fellow Dark One. What does this mean for the “Once Upon a Time” universe, particularly Rumpel (Robert Carlyle) — who, as a former Dark One, may be starting to miss it or envy Emma and Hook’s powers? “That is exactly what we’re going to be exploring, which is how does [Rumpel] feel about it and is he OK?” show creator Edward Kitsis tells Zap2it. “He is a hero, so he’s going to have to face some demons from his past and he’s watching Emma with this dagger and we can’t help wondering if he’s jealous or happy to be free of it? We’re going to get the answer in the winter finale. “What you’re going to see happen over the next four episodes is we’re going to see something that we have set up, that we’ve done all the work for, that will be a surprise for everyone.” Could it possibly have to do with the Distinguished Gentleman, a character Greg Germann (“Ally McBeal,” “House of Lies”) was recently revealed to be playing in the back half of Season 5? Co-executive producer Adam Horowitz plays coy. “What the second half of the season will be will be revealed in the winter finale, so to answer that question I would respectfully ask our audience to watch it live,” says Horowitz. The winter finale of “Once Upon a Time,” ominously titled “Swan Song,” airs Sunday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. zap2it.com/2015/11/once-upon-a-time-season-5-birth-multiple-dark-ones/

Once Upon a Time bosses, cast on Dark One twist
You probably didn’t see that twist coming. During Sunday’s Once Upon a Time, viewers finally discovered why Emma (Jennifer Morrison) went dark in the first place — seriously, this is your last chance to look away before you get a major spoiler. Everything Emma has done since the season premiere has all been in service to Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). Under threat of her family being killed, Emma was forced to turn over the Dark One dagger and the Promethean flame to make Excalibur whole for Arthur (Liam Garrgian). Ultimately, Hook came to their rescue, but he was cut by Excalibur in the process, which has unforeseen consequences. When Emma went to piece the sword and dagger back together to cast out the Darkness once and for all, she learned the hard way that a cut from Excalibur can never be healed as Killian began to bleed out. To keep Hook from dying, Emma tethered him to Excalibur, creating a second Dark One. That’s right, Hook has been a Dark One all this time and no one — not even him — realized it. “I thought it was a cool idea,” Morrison tells EW. “There’s something really romantic about it. She doesn’t want him to die. She doesn’t want to lose this man. She’s lost all the people that she’s loved in different ways. She wants to put her foot down and say, ‘No, this is the guy, I don’t want to lose this one. Even if we have to make some crazy choices to fight to overcome the Darkness, I’m going to do whatever it takes.’ It’s a really romantic gesture.” However, Hook clearly does not agree with her choices. In his dying moments, Hook begged Emma to not only reunite the sword and dagger to save herself, but he also pleaded with his love to let him die, knowing he couldn’t handle the Darkness as she had. And with Zelena (Rebecca Mader) pointing out that there’s more to be revealed as to what happened in Camelot, Hook may soon discover there is someone else to blame for their current predicament — as teased in this week’s Spoiler Room. The rest of the group will feel much the same about Emma’s quick decision, causing a whole new host of problems in Storybrooke. “They are not going to be pleased,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “The person who is going to be least pleased is Hook, because the thing he hates most in the world is the Dark One. Rumplestiltskin [Robert Carlyle] took away everything from him and now Emma turned him into the one thing that he hates. Worse than that for him, we’ve seen Emma really, really struggle with resisting the Darkness. Hook knows after centuries of being a pirate, he does not have her willpower. You can’t sneak an alcoholic alcohol and expect him not to drink. All of that is going to play out and it’s really going to test their relationship and their love.” “It’s so complicated,” says Josh Dallas. “Emma did it in order to save him, which is kind of an honorable, hero thing to do. Whether it’s misguided for the outcome of what it was, he thinks it’s an honorable thing. Is he happy that she did it? No, he’s not happy about it, but he can understand it at least. I don’t think Charming is looking at the world now so black and white. Things are more gray now.” Ginnifer Goodwin adds: “I think Snow always trusted her motivations. But also what’s so brilliant about the writing is that most of the Dark Ones acted with good intention. They were all trying to fix a problem for the better, it’s just that other factors get in the way.” Having played a role in Emma’s fall from grace, Regina (Lana Parrilla) is a little bit more understanding. “Regina has a very negative reaction to the whole thing, because she thinks it’s the stupidest idea on the planet, and yet she can’t really judge her because she had a hand in Emma taking those steps toward becoming the Dark One,” Parrilla says. “She asked Emma to save Robin. She understands wanting to save the person you love, but it’s just complicated things even more. We had a problem already and now we have a bigger problem, because now we have two Dark Ones!” Though they’re not happy about Emma’s choices now, the Charming family and friends are certainly on the road to recovery upon the discovery that everything Emma has been doing this season was actually for good — something Morrison was clued in on from the beginning. “Yes, I did know that,” she says. “I didn’t know every single detail. It seems to be the case where we get big, sweeping understandings of things, and then the details episode by episode in terms of how it all ties together intricately. I did know that everything she was doing was to save Hook from the beginning.” Even Henry (Jared Gilmore) may be more understanding that his mother forced his first crush to turn him down. “Henry has learned that although your parents can be dark and your family can be dark, there’s still that loving and caring thing because Emma helped Henry along the way,” Gilmore says. “Although it was really to further her own goals, there was still that loving and caring spark that all moms have.” Now the problem is what Hook actually wants after succumbing to the Darkness. “There are a few things as the Dark One that are more complex,” says O’Donoghue — and if you’re wondering why there isn’t more with him in this story, it’s because EW will soon post a full interview with him on his transformation into the Dark One, so stay tuned! “They all have slightly different things that they want out of the Darkness. A big part of who Hook is, and who he has been for hundreds of years, is that motivation for revenge, and you definitely see elements of that come up.” www.ew.com/article/2015/11/16/once-upon-time-dark-one-hook-spoilers
