Once Upon a Time Bosses Tease Secret Finale Scene, Tackle 'End Date' Topic
Almost a year to the day that Once Upon a Time surpised viewers with a parting glimpse of Queen Elsa, the ABC series this Sunday will uncork another top-secret season-ending scene. But unlike a year ago, this filmed-in-secrecy twist won’t introduce any familiar fairy tale face but a different kind of surprise element, one that will have repercussions for Season 5. “There is a top-secret scene that I’m shocked hasn’t got out — but there’s still time!” Once co-creator Eddy Kitsis tells TVLine with a knowing laugh. “We’ll absolutely be setting up what Season 5 will be, but unlike last year where it was, ‘Hey, it’s Frozen,’ or the year before which was, ‘Hey, we’re going to Neverland,’ this one will be much more like Season 1 in that it’s a condition of the show that changes and has ramifications for everyone.” Adds co-creator Adam Horowitz: “If we zigged in the past, we’re hoping to zag this time.” Whatever the hush-hush moment looks like, it will cap a two-hour finale that, as revealed in promos and photos, illustrates the role-reversing history rewrite that a dying Rumplestiltskin is dictating to The Author, Isaac, for the new storybook Heroes & Villains. Though Regina no longer requires the scribe’s services to secure her own happy ending, Kitsis says, “We feel we owe it to the audience to show what happens whan the Author does start to write, and what he can do.” Speaking of authors, the Once bosses are in no rush to write toward a predetermined end date, as the ABC drama they previously called home, Lost, famously did, announcing three years in advance that its story would end after Season 6. “I don’t think we want to set out a particular end date for this show,” Horowitz said when TVLine bandied about the possibly predetermining a finish line. (First things first, ABC has yet to announce 2015-16 TV season pick-ups for any of its scripted series.) “I mean, we have in our mind how we would like to wrap up the stories of these characters. But without having the specifics of exactly how we get there, it’s really not possible to [set a series finale date]. As AA was going to press, Matt Mitovich had juuuuuust cued up Sunday’s two-hour closer, which opens, he says, with perhaps the most Lost-like sequence in the show’s history, as we find out how Isaac came to be an Author. And lest you think the Snow Dark/Bandit Regina/Noble Rumple role-reversal twist is played just for fun, be assured that it’s all part of a rather dark mystery/puzzle that Henry must solve, in what is far and away the lad’s most “-centric”episode to date.
Question: I have a question concerning Once Upon a Time. Will we ever know what happened between Will Scarlett and Anastasia (The White Queen)? Any chance to see her in the future? —Marine
Ausiello: In the future, yes, there’s a chance. But during this season, which has only Sunday’s two-hour finale remaining, no. “Unfortunately, there was not room to bring Anastasia on this year,” says series co-creator Adam Horowitz. “But hopefully we will in the future, because we’d love to tell that story.”
So Will will still be around next season! Please send him back to Wonderland! He's been useless these past 2 seasons which has been an absolute waste!!! I'd be insulted if I was Michael.

Is there anything you can say about the Once Upon a Time finale? —TrinaI can personally say that I was nervous about the villains becoming heroes, and vice versa, but it turns out to be an epically fun ride. Though many fans wished the Author rewrite could mean the resurrection of Baelfire, there is a very plausible explanation why that can’t happen—though he is brought up more than once. It really makes me wonder if the writers are big Tangled fans? I know the fans are because there have been so many CS/Tangled parallels being tossed around for so long so maybe they picked up on it because Emma's costume can't be a coincidence can it? The finale was good! I think that we all know that Emma will be the new Dark one (for the pics on set) so that didn't surprised me... I love how all the characters change on the new book! Rumple as a knight was cute and funny  OMG and he had a new baby lol Isaac the author became one of my favorites of this season I hope he'll be back on S5 Henry as the new author I didn't see that coming and I hate E&A because I really like Neal and I think that they don't like him because they can bring back Zelena but not Neal is not fair  I really miss him... So what will happen to Rumple now? will he be the coward he was before becoming the Dark one? I don't get why his heart was white? white magic? or it was llike that just because he is dying or what? As you know not a Hook/Cap.Swan fan but I do like Hook of the new book lol he was kind of funny! So at the end nobody got his happy ending! maybe Regina because she is with Robin again but I don't know... I don't think that Rumple got his happy ending either at least Belle said she doesn't love Will  So now we have to wait... I want to see Dark Emma that will be really interesting even though I'm not a fan of her... And Merlin lol wednesday What do you think?? Did you like it or not? |

gclm What did I think! It was good even though I was about in tears at the end as I'm sure you could understand why! But let's start at the beginning! I thought it was very well done and it was fun to see the other characters have the roles reversed! I loved Regina as the bandit! She was just awesome! She and Robin still had a connection even without knowing who the other one was and he was suppose to be marrying Zelena! I'm so with you on your dislike for her! WHY did they have to bring her back of all people! I couldn't stand her and her SL was one of my least favorites! Now that she's pregnant I guess that means we're going to be stuck with her all next season.  I know this is horrible to say, but maybe she'll lose the baby or maybe they'll just keep her locked up the whole time so we don't have to see her!  Either option certainly works for me! Rumple. I know how much you love him and it was nice to see him and Belle being so happy, but I still hate the way they continue to write his character!  They have just ruined him for me!! Even back then when he's supposedly a hero he's still being bad! He was going to kill Regina and Henry to keep what he wanted. That's not being a hero. Heroes at least according to the ones in the EF don't kill! He must've missed that memo! They make it so hard for me to root for him anymore.  I was wondering the same thing about his heart though. Why is it white and will he become a coward again because that's what he was before he was the dark one. Belle didn't fall in love with that Rumple. She fell for the Dark One. I really hope he will be a better man and maybe try to help Emma because I can't stand the thought of having to watch a coward Rumple.  I don't like it and that will get old real quick. I wonder if he'll have white magic as well. Or any magic at all! So many questions with that. I hated to see the Apprentice die because I'm sure he could've helped them with all these things! I knew that the sorcerer was Merlin! I think we all figured that one out! There are a lot people throwing out names of who they want to play Merlin and I vote for Colin Morgan because he played him in BBC's Merlin and he was great! I absolutely loved him on that show and would LOVE for him to be on this!!! I'm hoping they won't make Merlin Lily's father because that will be too obvious, but they probably will to keep it in the family! Sorcerer being the dragon makes sense. So it looks like Lily and Maleficent will be around next season too. I'm still pissed we got nothing on Will!!! I don't want him with Belle anymore than you do, but I still wanted to know why he's in SB in the first place!!!! They never should've brought him on because he's been wasted!!!! He should've stayed in Wonderland with Ana!!!!! I know I've ranted about that several times, but I can't help it!  You don't mess with a perfect series finale and happily ever after! Supposedly we'll find out why next season! I'm not holding my breath!!!  They will be way too busy trying to help Emma! I thought Dark Snow was over the top. I know Ginny was having fun and it was nice to see her do something else, but as you know I'm just not a fan of her and Charming at all. I've tried desperately for 4 seasons now and just nothing.  I thought Henry did a great job and will be curious to see what they do with him as the Author especially now that he broke the quill. I wonder if they'll keep Isaac around or lock him up. I was happy to see August back and wonder if he'll be sticking around next season? He still hasn't seen his father as far as we know. I hope they don't turn him back into a little boy. Nice summery post wednesday.. .. As usual... nothing new there. lol I gotta tell ya girl, I'm climbing on the Capt. Swan ship and sailing away these last few episodes..... I marvel at how attentive he is to Emma's needs..... He really looks out for her.... My kinda guy... I hope they continue to give him a SL independent of his attachment to Emma, because a lot of times he just seems to be the BF..... It's hard for the writers because Emma is the big gun and the savior. I thought about you when she was sucking up all the darkness at the end.... we both knew that was coming, like it or not... Two other things I really liked about the finale, were Henry becoming the author and Regina being the other side of the coin to Robin as the thief... You know I like Regina's character and making her like Robin was genius.... Rumple as the gold Knight fighting orgs was just too cool..... I kinda thought Henry would be the new Author, so that wasn't a big surprise. I think there's a good chance Zelena is lying about her pregnancy.... she so want's to get under Regina's skin. It's her obsession. I'm still rooting for Rumple, even though they assanated his character this season.... I just  the way he talks....dearie... All in all I was happy with the finale, even with the dark Emma cliffhanger.... It's nice they put an end to the villains becoming hero's SL in one episode, I was afraid the were going to draw it out. It was great Emma forgave Snow before she went dark... they'd drawn that out long enough. I thought it was a solid finale, but this series is written very well, unlike some others I watch. LOLOLOL  So I'm now sailing on the good ship CS.... he won me over.  |

How can you not love a guy who loves a woman like that!!! They certainly don't make them like that which is why it's a fairy tale I know! He's still my hero! Yes it would be nice if they could give Killian something separate from Emma, but I really don't see that happening next season now especially since she's the Dark One. If anything I see him being more determined and driven. He'll obviously be spending more time with her family and Regina and Robin. Which I know will make Colin and Sean very happy because they are extremely close IRL and have been dying to have more scenes together. They're like brothers off set so this will be fun to see. Regina will obviously be trying to help since Emma basically sacrificed herself to save her so she could have her happy ending. I'm just scared of how much this is going to change Emma. Yes I cried at that scene! It was so heartbreaking! I knew it was going to happen because of the spoilers that were out and the pics, but it didn't make it any easier to watch! Killian begging her not to and Emma FINALLY telling him she loved him!    Regina being the thief was pretty cute! She can pull off any role. She is one of my faves! No matter what AU you put her and Robin in they are meant to be! I really hope Zelena is faking, but I'm not sure. The writers aren't giving any indication that it isn't true. I can't stand that character and am very disappointed that they brought her back. I would've rather had the Snow Queen stick around and I wasn't that fond of her either. Henry being the author everyone pegged. I just wonder if he can do anything now that he broke the quill? I'm trying so hard to root for Rumple, but you're right they totally assassinated his character and it's really hard for me to forgive him right now. After what he did to Hook, trying to kill Emma and turn her dark and then trying to kill Henry and Regina! That's almost too much!!! I like the crazy Rumple from the EF. The one that flits around saying dearie! He's a hoot!  Yeah it is good that Emma forgave Snow, but I wonder if some of that resentment will still be there now that the darkness has taken over? I told him I wasn't sure in my above post because of how they're laying out the story. Regina & Robin have made it pretty clear that even though she's an obstacle they won't let her get in the way of their happiness so they may actually go through with it. But if they do that it means we're going to be stuck with Zelena around for the duration of the series unless she meets with an untimely death and Regina & Robin end up raising the baby together. Talk about bizarre. I don't like this storyline at all, but I guess they needed some drama thrown their way. They didn't want them to be too happy! That would make it too easy! People are still hating on Bobby? I can't believe that. It's so sad. Can't they tell the difference between fantasy and reality. He is a good actor and such a sweet man. The whole cast adores him. I may not care for Mr. Gold right now, but like I've said before I like the EF Rumple. I read somewhere on tumblr that people thought Rumple might not be happy being normal now. He's wanted to get rid of the darkness for so long, but that's because he didn't like other people controlling him. He was the Dark One for years and was addicted to the power. I wonder if he'll be able to just get over it and give it up? Instead of trying to help Emma will he try to take it back? Wouldn't you have to kill that person to become the Dark One though? shoe20 We're both wondering why his heart is white, do you have any theories? What do you think about Merlin being Lily's father? Think that's a possibility? Wouldn't Colin Morgan from Merlin make a great Merlin!!! gclm I'm pretty excited about Maleficent and Lily sticking around. I actually like both of them and think their story will be interesting. It's funny I thought Cruella would be my favorite out of the 3 villains and she ended up being my least. I really like Maleficent and think her character has a lot of depth to her. I can't believe you're such a big fan of Isaac! Maybe they will have him back. I like your theory about Henry writing a new story for Emma, but I don't know how that would work. I wish true love's kiss would! We know that she is Killian's happy ending. They can definitely summon her because they have the dagger and as long as they have it they will have control over her. I'm just wondering how messed up she'll be. You really think she won't remember anything? Rumple didn't lose his memories? She could be different though because she was the savior and she had additional powers so things could be different for her.  If you had watched Wonderland you'd care a little about Will and I promise you would've liked him. I just hope they bring Ana on so they can wrap his story up and get things back to how they should be because it's been a waste of his character and the actor's time. I adored the AU Killian. Rumple tried to make his as the cowardly version of himself and it didn't really work. Rumple didn't fight to get Milah back in the past whereas Killian did fight for Emma whom he had just met. He just believed her because he had a feeling about her and that she was telling the truth and went on faith. You know me though I will love any version of him just like you will of your Rumple!  Maybe someday I could convince you to ship Capt. Swan? shoe20 finally got on board! I know this is horrible to say, but maybe she'll lose the baby or maybe they'll just keep her locked up the whole time so we don't have to see her!
I was wondering the same thing about his heart though. Why is it white and will he become a coward again because that's what he was before he was the dark one. Belle didn't fall in love with that Rumple. She fell for the Dark One. I really hope he will be a better man and maybe try to help Emma because I can't stand the thought of having to watch a coward Rumple.
I thought he was so cute as the cowardly hand deck! It's just like Rumple to do that to him! Being allergic to rum and not even knowing how to hold a sword! Bless his heart!
