It's great to watch a show when you care about the characters and the story line is still fresh and surprising. The compare/contrast of watch The 100 and then TVD the next night is just so stark...TVD just pales in comparison on just about every measure now. Plus you can just tell a difference in the actors...when they actually care about the story they are telling. Speaking of which Bob Morley was just excellent acting in last weeks episode, even when he didnt have dialog his face was just hurt, guilt, resentment. So good.

napoli holy crap that episode had so much!! I don't even know where to begin. but OMG what an end scene, Polis is connected to POLarIS, the 13 station. Another great episode. I'm actually scarred from TVD cause s1-3 were phenomenal. I had convinced myself it was the best show ever written. There was simplicity yet compelling story telling and the characters were slowly evolving as they weaved in and out of each others lives. Then KW left. I don't even recognize it anymore it's stayed so far off course. I don't even like my favourite characters. Will a main writer abandon The 100 leaving Clarke - one of the best female leads possibly since Buffy - flailing with ridiculous story lines and dialogue. Thelonias is so screwed. I hoped for them all he had found something that could help them but holy crap Ali is worse than the grounders were in s1. See they were able to create a different threat and weaved it logically and beautifully in tone storyline instead of the way TVD dies it - here's the new boring villain and you'd better accept them because we like using the word organic. We gave them a ridiculous back story that has never been referenced or connected to anything else but wow look how good we are at making crap up. I suppose I should take this to the rant section. I just can't help but compare how bad it's gotten because when I see a show that is so good I can't help but be reminded of TVD glory days.

Oh never apologize for ranting about TVD even in The 100 thread. That show deserves the ire it gets. Beside the differences between the shows illuminates the stark contrast of storytelling. One weaving the story arcs together well, and the other making ZERO sense. The 100 shows what it looks like when the writers are all on the same page and they actually care about their mythology they have set up. It is actually the most important part of the story and not treated as an afterthought. I have a feeling tonight's episode is going to be crazy with connecting the 13th station to Polis and potentially the nightbloods/former commanders ...just my crazy theory is what if this version 2.0 ALIE that red dress version of ALIE is looking for is (clearly at Polis) within the blackblood itself, so Lexa is a descendant of this 2nd version of ALIE? Just a shot in the dark but I love theory crafting with this show.

The story line is phenomenal. They're doing such a great with characters too. So refreshing...I look forward to this every week.

They did a fantastic job tying the 2 many story arcs together, and not just that but tying in the grounder culture to the sky people. Just crazy attention to the details (seriously the polar opposite of TVD which ignores continuity entirely) and lots of little easter eggs to clue you in on things without outright saying what is going on. I thought Murphy was amazing in this episode. He is now the character on this show that has the most information. I loved his sass to Titus.

It was a perfect time to kill {Spoiler} Lexa just like when they killed off Finn. Clarke's character needs the detachment to be permanent. She's grown from each experience but now she needs to move on. I love also how the feel of the show went from kids trying to figure out how to live to those same kids maturing and growing and being true equals to the adults on the show. I find with TVD they are still like kids and that the gang never grew up and became equal to the adults and the adults on TVD were all killed off! Even with the flash forwards it still looks they are playing dress up instead of being grown up in their own right.

Even with the flash forwards it still looks they are playing dress up instead of being grown up in their own right. I agree with this so much. Clarke was starting to become a little stale this season just standing around, furrowing her brow and crossing her arms. She needs to be in the action. Just being the "ambassador" wasn't going to be enough to protect her people...she needs to be there and know what is going on. I was thrilled when Octavia got in her face about coming with her, that was needed. Octavia was all kinds of badass in this episode. Yes I love that the kids character arcs are such were even the adults now respect and value their opinions and even realize they are integral for their survival. Whether it be Clarke as the ambassador, or Kane remarking last episode how Bellamy is the key to bolster the resistance, Octavia whipping Indra into shape, Murphy figuring out the connection and explaining it to Titus, or Raven actually being the one to ask question of ALIE when Jaha never did. These kids have really grown into their roles and while they are still vulnerable and make mistakes they are no longer the same kids who landed. Heck, Damon and Stefan have been around 100+ years and still haven't learned from some of their mistakes. Damon is still the same character. You can't say that about any of the characters on this show.

Bellamy is back. Raven is back. I need my kids all back together to start doing what they do best.
I chewed my fingernails off during this episode. I loved the spy vs. spy element to it. But this hiatus is going to kill me. its TOO LONG. and thank you CW for a season 4!!
