SPOILERS:
Nellie: Holy crap, I can't believe Leith is coming back on Reign! Please tell me there's hope for him and Greer?
What was the French Court's version of Facebook because things are complicated between the duo. "It will change everything when Leith comes back [to French Court]. He's a different person," Laurie McCarthy previewed for us. "He has different opportunities and different ambitions, we'll come to find out as well."
Reign First Look: A Suspicious Letter Spells Trouble for Mary
No news is good news in French Court, which makes TVLine’s exclusive shot from Thursday’s Reign (The CW, 9/8c) all the more ominous.
Pictured below, Mary has a little chat with her uncle, the Duke of Guise (guest-star Gil Darnell), about a letter she sent to Catherine of England — and judging by the looks on their faces, methinks they don’t quite see eye to eye on the written word.
And this letter scuffle is only part of Mary’s headache this week; the penultimate episode of Season 1 will also find her teaming up with Catherine (yes, you read that right) to “deal with the increasingly manic King Henry.”

SPOILER:
Question: Is there any hope for Bash and Mary on Reign? —Sara
Ausiello: Don’t shoot the messenger, Sara, but star Toby Regbo tells TVLine that Reign‘s original love triangle is no more. “The writers might come back and turn it on its head, but for the most part, the show has entered a different [chapter],” he explains. “I don’t think people expected things to settle down that quickly; Francis and Mary were married by Episode 13. So this whole Team Bash/Team Francis thing they set up … that part of the show has shifted.”

SEASON TWO DESCRIPTION
THURSDAY
9:00-10:00 P.M. “REIGN”
Over the course of the stormy first season of REIGN, Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane) struggled to balance her many roles — as Queen of Scotland; as faithful friend to her ladies in waiting; as royal fiancée, and later as young wife to the future King of France, Francis (Toby Regbo). Challenges came in every form: the reigning Queen Consort of France, Francis’s mother, Catherine de Medici (Megan Follows), did everything she could to destroy the union of Mary and Francis, even if that meant taking Mary’s life. Francis and Mary were both torn by their duties to their respective nations, paving the way for Mary to form a close bond with Bash (Torrance Coombs), Francis’s illegitimate brother, who could offer Mary a level of devotion the future king could not. King Henry (Alan Van Sprang) descended into madness, and a bloodthirsty menace in the woods threatened those within the castle and beyond the castle's walls, taking dozens of lives before it was ultimately annihilated. REIGN begins its second season with Mary and Francis at the helm of a nation burning. France is rocked by the after effects of the plague – a disease that takes thousands upon thousands of lives across the land and ravages the stability of a nation. From the ashes, powerful lords will rise, carrying out personal, religious and political vendettas, taking lives and tearing at Mary and Francis’ commitment to each other and to their people. Friendships will be tested, loved ones murdered and alliances betrayed. Meanwhile, a mysterious and deadly threat snatches victims from village streets and castle corridors, leaving evidence of savagery that looks like the work of monsters: mythical creatures who are the stuff of nightmares, but who may actually walk among us, doing the Devil’s bidding.
REIGN is produced by CBS Television Studios and Whizbang Films/Take 5 Productions with executive producers Laurie McCarthy (“The Ghost Whisperer”), Frank Siracusa (“Beauty And The Beast”), John Weber (“Beauty And The Beast”) and Brad Silberling (“Moonlight Mile”).

SPOILER:
Question: Got any scoop for season 2 of Reign? —Nicole
Ausiello: “Any” might be an understatement, Nicole. French Court is going to be visited by four new faces in Season 2, including Princess Claude, the never-before-seen daughter of Catherine and Henry. The “very sexually advanced” young lady will get herself into plenty of mischief, perhaps even more than Narcisse, another (much older) new face who will serve as a sparring partner for her mother. Then there’s Conde, known as the “Prince of the Blood,” who will strike up an unusual friendship with Francis, as well as Prince Thomas, who “may be the next king of France sooner than he’d imagined.” If that last line has you shaking in your boots, you have a very healthy sense of fear.
